What if Rhule turns out to be a really good just being a coach?
PappyMay replied to Fan01's topic in Carolina Panthers
I hope he's better because I want to see the Panthers succeed. I think he needs to win 9 games to be safe though. I Dont think thats out the window either! -
I'd love Zach Tom and Justyn Ross. I'd also like Isaiah Likely but with Tremble last year and resigning Ian Thomas I doubt it happens.

Evan Neal medically red flag by some teams
PappyMay replied to Leotiger's topic in Carolina Panthers
Cam Robinson, Jedrick Willis, Jonah Williams, Landon Dickerson, and many more. Yeah i'd hate to get a guy who has seen SEC caliber Defensive Ends everyday. I like Cross more myself, but to say not to take a guy because he went to Bama is wild. -
Evan Neal medically red flag by some teams

Every single lineman coming out of Bama wears knee braces. Bozeman wore them at Bama too, can't believe we just signed him!!! Neal is probably my 3rd choice of the tackles but if he's the pick I wont be upset. -
Nightmare: we trade up to take Willis. High ceiling down the road, but he wont save Rhule's job this year. Dream: Seattle trades us 9 and 41 to grab their QB at 6. We get Cross at #9 and then one of the top interior OL prospects fall to 41. Green/Johnson/ Linderbaum(falling fast) grab whichever is left.

Panthers may now be hesitant to trade back...

i can see that. Why may just take Icky or Neal and try to provide Sam with the best possible protection and hope for the best. -

I'm so OK with trading down. Probably would catch alot of flack, but could you imagine trading down to the mid to late 20's and picking up a 1st for a QB next year and maybe a 2nd or 3rd this year. Grab Green or Johnson to play guard and roll with BC at LT? Trading down for Penning is what I want to happen, but just thinking worst case here. Lets wait on a QB. -
Draft Countdown.com Carolina Panthers 7-round mock draft
PappyMay replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
If we take a corner at some point I’d have to think they aren’t liking the potential of Pride or Oliver-Thomas as a depth piece -
Fritt just got here. Let’s give him 2 more years. I think he’ll get us to double digit wins by then.
-
Don’t hate him. Just questioning his knowledge of X’s and O’s. The whole rah rah motivation and being a guys players like may just not get it done in the NFL like it does in college.

Ingram would be a nice piece of the rotation. Also wouldn’t mind taking a flyer on Derek Barnett as a rotational piece or spot starter. Average 4-3 end who would be rather cheap

POLL: What Will It Take For You To Be OK With Keeping Rhule?
PappyMay replied to travisura's topic in Carolina Panthers
People say they want him gone regardless. Even if he wins a Super Bowl which we’ve never done. Literally cheering against our teams success. If a super bowl or Rhule being gone is an option you take Rhule being gone. I think if he wins 10 games his job is safe. Whether it will be who knows. Hopefully 10 games in the NFC is a wild card spot. -
DJ is a top 15WR with terrible QB play. I’m happy this happened. It’s nice seeing a guy want to be here and extend here too. Maybe the culture isn’t unbearable like some people here make it seem.
-
Center- Bozeman or Tretter DE-Trey Flowers, was great when healthy and would rotate or start assuming YGM doesn’t progress like I’m hoping. Derek Barnett would be my backup option here. CB- Kyle Fuller or Patrick Peterson for leadership and depth. I assume they’ll be ring chasing and go to playoff teams though. Kevin King would be my depth option here Use some of the money to go ahead and extend Moore while we can Aswell. Aware still need Tackle and LB but hoping we take tackle at 6 or trade down for Lloyd/Penning
-
everyone talking about embarrassment. I'd probably been more embarrassed if the price was 3 first round picks including this years' 6 along with Burns and Chinn then missing out on a guy who half-heartedly wanted to be here.
-
Good Lord, back out of the deal. Use the 30 million we have to sign 2-3 good players and take a day 1 starter at # 6 or trade down and take Lloyd/Dean/Linderbaum/Penning. I'm over him at this point. I know everyone says we suck but I really think we could be just 4-5 players from a playoff spot. Can go get 3-4 of them and keep improving.
-
Move on from Watson. Use the money to Sign this dude and take best Tackle at #6 or trade down a few picks and hope to get Penning or Green. Then use the rest of it to Extend Moore. Make this place where a QB is begging to come to.
-
I'd be all for this deal if we got to keep Chinn. 3 first and Burns. Would have to pay Burns in a year or two anyways. And this years first has to carry alot of value. Same value as 2 future 1st.
-
Not sure if it’s been mentioned, but Maybe he gets his preferred destination and only signs his no trade clause for one team to limit the bidding war so the team he goes to isn’t so strapped for talent. Maybe it would save the team involved a player or pick to know it’s either work with that one team or have Houston keep Watson.
-
How bad our oline is I’d want to say Green to be a plug and play G. But Hamilton could be the best safety prospect in a few years. Put him at FS and free up Chinn to do more.

Someone get this man a hobby, or a part time job or someway to distract himself from posting.

I’m hoping a year from now we have an adequate line. Moton, Brady, our first round pick this year and a free agent. Cant build Rome in a day but let’s lay some foundation for the empire.

Also being in Birmingham it's hard not to like Bryce since you see his stuff everywhere. Sure he's undersized but he's literally an inch shorter than Brees was who dominated forever. People just genuinely like him and he's so cerebral. Just comes off as a quiet leader.
-
Not sure about comparison's, but he just had more yards and TD's last year than Fields had in either one of his two years as the man.
