Will he ever be an MVP Or good enough to carry a team by himself. Not at all. But I still haven’t given up that he can be an above average QB. Now is that what you want out of the guy you traded up to? Absolutely not. But already walking away from I wouldn’t do that yet. This was the least talented team in the NFL and that’s on Fitterer more than Bryce as far as our sucking goes.

That’s more on Icky than Bryce to me. Man has Icky has regressed. -

Wasting a top 10 defense with this trash offense. Just hurts to see. -
and get what for him after this year? Fitt gave to much up for him to walk away after a single season. Unless there is a whole new regime coming in and Tepper allows them to walk away from his Golden Boy after one year Bryce is our QB for 2024.
-
If Penix is there at 33, you trade the pick desperate for someone who wants him or grab a day 1 starting Guard or speedy WR to help out Bryce. We need to give Bryce 1 more year. Worst case we are terrible again and go the complete opposite direction and get Shedeur Sanders the next year.

No mass overpays on contracts. Upgrade Oline, Speedster at WR, decent signing or mid round pick at corner incase 2024 is the last year here of Horn/Jackson. Extend Brown and Luvu. I'm just hoping for 5-6 wins next year and to be more competitive. Lets keep all of our assets and get ready to make the jump in 2025.

Panthers have zero Pro Bowlers, four alternates
PappyMay replied to TN05's topic in Carolina Panthers
these contracts are going to go well into the offseason when the new regime comes in. But I care more about keeping Brown than I do Burns. Would love to have both, but if we can get late first for Burns after the tag and trade to build out the roster and extend YGM I dont think we'd really be any worse than we are now. Then you'd have alot more cap to keep building forward. -
Win total next year as we sit on NYE
PappyMay replied to mrcompletely11's topic in Carolina Panthers
5-6, we will make some improvements but too many holes and limited resources to fix it all in one offseason. -
Too early to tell. Will Icky bump inside? Will we bring back Evero or will the new D coordinator swap back to the 4-3? Xavier Worthy or getting Sweat while trading down 4-5 picks if we keep a 3-4 would be my idle picks. Also if Luvu goes Trotter Jr becomes an option. Also if a top corner is there both Horn and Jackson’s contracts you can walk away from at the end of 2024. We need so much help.

Scott Fitterer needs to be fired now, it cannot wait
PappyMay replied to TN05's topic in Carolina Panthers
Agreed, we can’t trust him to draft and imagine we’d have to overpay for good talent. Rather not do that. Just hoping for 5-6 wins next year and let’s build for the future. Bryce hasn’t lived up to his pick but all these bad trades and picks that have left us talent depleted is on Fitts -
Reasons to be optimistic about the 2024 offense
PappyMay replied to MHS831's topic in Carolina Panthers
I agree. I’m not hopeful for a playoff spot but if we are just 3-4 starting spots away from being 7-10 type ball club if who we have under contract next year continue to develop. Xavier Worthy of Troy Fautana are my favorite prospects at 33 unless someone drastically falls. Speedster or a starting guard for Bryce’s tenure here. Now just lock but Brown/ Luvu and trade Burns for to a contender for a late first rounder -
I would literally tag and trade him for whatever I could get at this point. I'm not sure if we could get much more than a 2nd and 4th. No way a team wants to pay him more than 25mil with what he's put on tape this season.

REPORT: Ben Johnson wants $15 million per year
PappyMay replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
I think he only had to pay Rhule like $5million because of the Nebraska contract offsetting a majority of the money. And the main reason he was owed anything was the escalating contract for Nebraska the the first couple years was less than what he would have made as the Panther's coach. -
If you're sitting on Daddy Teppers lap for Christmas..

Fire Fitts and use your Billions to take Howie Roseman from the Eagles….. a man can dream can’t he? -
I love to see what Brown has done this year. Got a feeling he'll become a top 5-6 paid DT as the market continues to reset every other year.
-
I'll be at the Birmingham Bowl watching Troy vs Duke. Went to Troy and grew up a UNC fan. Will be nice to hate on Duke for the day. Both teams playing without their head coaches so not sure how it will go.
-
take away Bryce's pick 6's and we are closer to the middle of the pack with scoring defense. and with how bad our offense is and them being out there all the time and the injuries They've done about as good as could be expected of them. 2-4 at home this year so hope to win one of them!
-
Yes. But we can’t help Fitterer made a bad deal. All we can do is hope to build around him
-
I know we aren’t a good team but I’m not ready to give up on Bryce yet. I don’t see why he can’t pan out to be a good game manager. Let’s get this man a speed WR and good guard to sure up the pocket(I’m not sure how Corbett will ever be) half our losses have been 1 possession game. I’m hoping for 7-10 next season and building towards the future.
-
Brown is stuck in his 5th year option unless he holds out or something. Doesnt seem like the type of guy that would though. I wish they separated LB between ILB and OLB. OLB contracts skew what ILB's make. Can't tag Luvu if you somehow work things out with Burns.
-
Fixed the WR room and took an Iowa TE because they tend to pan out. Also we now have depth at DT, G, and corner.
-
I just need round 2 and 3 picks to be day 1 starters not developmental guys. Imagine one of them being a WR. I know we need help at NT ,but I feel like thats a hard position to come in as a rookie and start day 1 for anyone who isnt a 1st round pick or Sweat for Texas. If we can't extend Luvu perhaps Trotter Jr. Troy Fautana could be plug and play Guard. Are we going to trust Corbett to come back again? I'd Love for Mays/ Nash to take the spot and run with it but dont trust them to. Got to keep the short guys pocket clean as we can in the middle so he has room to hop.

every week its the same people bashing, same people saying their done for the year, and yet every week the same keep coming back to the forum. #keeppounding.

I’m ready for mini camp at this point. I hope we hit on our draft picks but hearing all about the Bear’s options with our pick from February until the draft is going to be hard to listen to on every network.
-
He needs to part with Fitts now so the next group can try to get it together do actually do something with our day two picks next year.
