Yes, why stop watching the train wreck on offense now? Marcus Maye clearly tackled him by the ankle. Not crazy to think its a little tender. No point in risking it at the moment. Let him regroup and get ready for the Vikes.

Panthers expect Bryce Young to miss 1-2 games (Athletic)

I’m guessing this was the play and I just saw this morning Maye was suspended 3 games for PEDs and I find it irritating he shouldn’t have even been in the game. -
The ankle tackle was by Maye and Maye got suspended for PED's the next day. He shouldn't of even been in the game. smh.

We have nothing anyone will want but Burns for a first rounder. At this point I've come to peace with Burns leaving. Just hope it means we can use that money to keep Luvu and Brown long term.
-
what Price would you want to pay Luvu? The top 5 inside backers all make over $18 million then there is a dramatic drop off where the next 5 probably average 9Million . If its in that second tier i'd be all about a long term extension.

5-12, Alot of bad teams this year so give the Bears the 5th pick. I'm hoping for 7-10, just trying to be honest with myself.

The whole reason they’re moving on from Higgins is they can’t afford him and Chase after paying Burrow. How would they pay him what he wants with the Chase extension coming? I want burns as a Panther but at this point expecting a tag and trade. Also would love to send him to Detroit for Jameson Williams and a pick. Also Chicago has the cap. Could get our pick back but then looks like we got fleeced.

Gameday Menu, 2023 Week 2 MNF vs Saints
PappyMay replied to Toker Smurf's topic in Carolina Panthers
we are never on primetime or on the local games here in Alabama so i'm making my friends come watch with me. Conecuh Sausage, Boneless wings(BBQ,Buffalo, plain), Buffalo Chicken dip, Guac, Cookie cake, Fruit, Nuts, chocolate covered pretzels, and an assortment of chips. -
That wasn’t Slater with the block.

I agree with this take, I'd love to resign him but at this point if we can get picks and use the money I'm Ok with it. Imagine If we used that 35mil for Tee Higgins and to resign Luvu. Still would have the picks and another $35 more million to replace Deshawn Williams, Chinn, and CJ Henderson. First Choice is resign like 4 years 120millin 85 guaranteed or something but if cant work it out may as well move on.

I don’t think he’s traded this season. I hope he resigns but at this point expecting a tag and trade next offseason. Maybe we can net a 1st and mid round pick like Seattle did with prime Frank Clark. Use that 30 mil elsewhere if we have to.
-
I'd be a fan of this but I don't think they're going to part with Metchie without seeing what they got this season first. Moving on from your 2nd round pick after 1 year who just beat cancer seems likes a stretch. Metchie is the type of guy you want in your locker room.

Van Jefferson- Maybe takes a discount to play for his dad. Nice # 3/4 WR Curtis Samuel-Would welcome him back if not too expensive. Run the gadget plays for Viksa and not super slow Mecole Hardman- hasnt lived up to his potential but man is he fast KJ Osborn- With Jefferson and Addison there assume they'll let him walk. Another 3/4 WR option I dont see us getting a true WR #1 next year.

I hope it's Mays and he does well. Would love to have both our starting guards on mid round rookie contracts for our 2025 Superbowl run after we get Bryce some help.
-
I keep hearing he has a weak arm and others saying he kept over throwing it… he looked like someone playing in his first NFL game. Hopefully by week 4-5 the game starts slowing down for him and he can take off. Anyone expecting more than 7 wins this year was being ambitious. Coach Bryce up and add 2-3 pieces next off season. The whole oline will be back again.
-
Do you guys think with this continued injury bug they may not pick up his 5th year option at the end of the year? I hate he hasn’t panned out as hoped but maybe not having to pay him means we can afford both Burns and Brown long term.

We should have taken the points the first drive. Defense didn’t look that bad. I wonder how much of that was knowing Ridder isn’t a real threat.

Season win / ( maybe a loss ) predictions
PappyMay replied to OceanPanther's topic in Carolina Panthers
Anything above 7-10 I’ll still be hopeful. New coaching staff, new QB, new 3-4 defense. It would hurt my stomach to give the bears a top 5 pick. -
Makes me think they better figure it out before week 2 because we don’t need to take an L to the Kamara-less Saints at home and start the division 0-2. If the they implode and he’s not under contract I could see us being forced to send to a contender for a 2nd and 4th.
