Panther fan from across the pond since 2007. Have no ties to the carolinas, so i've been thinking of myself as a 'free agent' fan since early this season, but i keep coming back to this board. I've switched to RedZone, and no longer care if I miss Panthers games. Hopefully this circus will turn around in a 3-4 years time..

Chi 30 - 17 Car

59-13 Hill: 244yards, 2td

Well, he is very smart i've heard

Both are bad, but at least under Rhule we still had draft capital making college football scouting fun. I cant even enjoy that this season knowing the Bears got our pick.

This is depressing to watch. We traded away our two most exciting playmakers on O, and now we get to watch the talent of Burns, Brown & Chinn slowly fade away on a team that traded its future, for an intelligent make-a-wish kid to quarterback this team for the next 4-5 years.

Pick #1. QB - CJ Stroud - Him or Young Pick #39. LB/Edge - Drew Sanders - Can play inside and outside and have Parson like impact as a blitzer in our 3-4 hybrid front. Really high on this guy on day 2. Pick #93. CB - DJ Turner. - Seems optimistic in late 3rd, but should be possible according to PFF rankings. Pick #114. WR - Jonathan Mingo - Big bodied receiver with good hands. Pick #132. RB - Roschon Johnson - Powerback to replace Foreman and compliment Sanders. Pick #145. OL - Tyler Steen - OL depth.

Would like him back but could easily be replaced in later rounds by someone like Roschon Johnson

4-3 or 3-4, it doesn't really matter that much. I've seen plenty of 4-3 over/under formations this past season with Luvu lined up as the passrusher opposite Burns, essentially making it a 3-4 in certain situations. The defensive allignment depends on the opposing offense.

Which candidates would YOU interview in round two?
Mainter replied to kungfoodude's topic in Carolina Panthers
At this point you should know what you'll get with Wilks, Payton & Reich. I would bring in Steichen, Kafka & Moore for second interview. -

Isaiah Foskey or Tyree Wilson

The decision to not try anything at all, with 3 timeouts at the end of the first half bugs me. Playcalling was subpar too.
-
Rasheed Walker or Kevin Austin is my guess
-
Dohnovan West, Rasheed Walker, Carson Strong and Jack Sanborn are tempting here.

According to walterfootball we turned down a mid first round pick for Derrick Brown
-
Great pick by Chargers
-
Charlies mock on walterfootball is starting to look impressive now with ATL pick..
-
Trade down and select Zion Johnson.

That was just a bad play. No second read from Darnold. Bad play call

This team looks energized! Glad Cam is back!

My darkhorse pick for Panthers at 52: Ronnie Perkins

B+ When Sewell were gone and we apparently didn't receive a trade down package that was attempting enough, selecting the best corner in the draft that fills a huge need was the best option.

I believe Fitterer once mentioned something alike "throwing poo at the wall and see what sticks" so I wouldn't be suprised if we draft a QB. That being said, there was a report mentioning that we weren't too enticed with the QB's outside of the best two, so maybe in a later round, but not at pick 8.
