  1. Weird things also happen when you include garbage time games in your averages. Chicago and Washington he came in with like 2 min left. The remaining 9 games which he started, 1,737 yards, 193 yards/game. Still low but let’s all be clear the number reported isn’t correct.
  2. My biggest take away from this game is how much the running attack have masked our pass blocking inefficiencies. Especially Mayes and Ickey.
  3. I think it’s a perfectly reasonable to see Bryce played better since coming back to at least show why he was drafted #1 and to warrant another year. The eyeball test, the big time throws, the pocket movement, everything that was said over the offseason of “what do we need to see from him to give him another shot” But you had people claiming “he is him” to now saying he isn't the future. I like Bryce and think he has promise, but he’s neither of those things, yet. It’s okay to have a little nuance, healthy even. Step away from the ledge
  4. Terrible throw, worst since coming back to start. Also probably the worst he’s played since coming back. I think the pressure really rattled him again. I think Ickey gave up 4 sacks.
  5. I never lost hope that he could turn it around. But he definitely needed to be benched after week 2. Just to be able to sit back and watch and work on your mechanics in practice/behind the scenes. Anyone who’s played sports knows how tough it is to try and implement changes during competitive play. You get in your head and think more than play. I believe that’s where he was at. Trying to focus on this footwork, or reading that coverage, or not rolling out this way, where there was no room to actually react and play QB. I play tennis and at the end of a bad day of practice, sometimes it’s best to just call it a day and try again tomorrow instead of putting your head down and pushing through.
  6. That’s right, stick to your guns brotherrr
  7. I know it’s PFF so grain of salt, but I just read he’s been the 5th highest graded passer over the last 3 games played. And that matches my eye test at least. Felt like NO and NY he played well, especially for what he was asked to do. But this week, man it’s the first time since prime Cam days that I felt confident that we were going to be able to move the ball through the air on offense. It felt good
  8. But Bryce can’t throw with zip on the ball herp derp
  9. Can’t believe we dropped Troy Hill and kept Dane Jackson
  10. Are you watching the game? There’ve been like maybe a handful of plays with 8 in the box, been mostly nickel
  11. How is Dane Jackson this bad? And Evero is definitely a top head coach candidate for 2025 lol
  12. He was huge to the defense. Also, Jewell has made an obvious impact. Just a vet to at least help pre-snap is so valuable.
  13. Funny enough, I think the Chiefs are beatable. I’m not saying the odds are great, but they are no where near the team they’ve been in the past. Unfortunately, the defense will need to get pressure on Mahomes which we suck at.
  14. Same thing in college. He’s never been a natural “hands catcher” unfortunately.
  15. Canales said in the post game interview that he thought Bryce had a “great day” and was a few plays away from being an “exceptional day” and said he’s made a statement to the coaching staff. So basically said he’s starting again after the bye. I think the fan theories that Canales is done with Bryce were fiction. Was more of the fact he was dealing with an obviously broken guy with crushed confidence, so he was handling it delicately.
  16. Serious question for the box score folks? Did you actually watch the game or are you criticizing purely off 125 yards? An if you did watch the game, what would you say Bryce did poorly?
  17. This won’t stop them from pooing every thread. They get high off the tilt
  18. But yes Chubba & the oline were MVPs. Both Coker and XL had some bad drops, 2 on 3rd down. And Bryce played well outside of an over throw to Chubba which would have been stopped on 3rd, and a wheel route by Coker to ice the game where Coker was obviously held and screwed up the timing. So I’d say Bryce played about as well as last week but he was by no means MVP
  19. Wonnum playing instantly made the defense like 50% better. Jones actually had some consistent pressure. But the conservative play calling on offense and defense should have lost us the game. Evero let them march straight down the field in a minute with prevent defense.
  20. Eh it seems like he’s done a decent job building a locker room culture with a bad team, which isn’t easy to do. He also shows that he can dial up great drives/play design. But damn, the playing not to lose in the 4th quarter was tough to watch. I was glad to see that we stuck to the run but it’s not bad to throw in a play action when everyone on the field thinks you are trying to run the clock out.
