  5. Pretty lengthy and a few new things too. CHARLOTTE — On clean-out day for the Carolina Panthers, players took turns negotiating a low-riding electric bike through a cramped space, and ping-pong games provided the soundtrack as they loaded up boxes of cleats and jerseys. But as they said farewell to a season that ended with more promise than it began with, the players also used the opportunity to make one final plea for the franchise to bring back the man who allowed them to exit on a high note: Steve Wilks. more Will Steven Wilks, the Panthers' interim coach, get the full-time job? - The Washington Post
  6. Bill Bennet ( former secretary of education ) went to a Pizza Hut in the DC area back in late 84 or early 85 in order to promote and acknowledge the Book It program when it was started. My now wife was an assistant Pizza Hut manager is Va Beach at the time. The regional manager of PH not wanting any screw ups when waiting on Bennet, gave my wife an all expenses paid trip to DC to personally wait on Bennet and his entourage at the Pizza Hut he went to.
  7. Her gender has nothing to do with it. Its her lack of qualifications. Exactly what does she bring to the table. I said in another thread, Tepper ( and now the mrs,) need to hire a couple of pro football head hunters to find our next head coach and get the hell out of their way.
  8. Panthers are ranked ................ 18th ? Really? and Though it could change over the next few days, there are only five head-coaching jobs open at the moment. Here’s how one outside observer would rank those opportunities in terms of attractiveness: 1. Panthers — A roster with young building blocks on both sides of the ball and enough draft capital to matter, plus an owner willing to spend in a bad division. Immediate success is realistic. 2. Texans — To some degree a rotten organization with a barren roster, but so much draft capital and the lowest bar to clear for improvement. Surely, ownership will be patient with the next coach, right? Plus the division is bad. 3. Colts — Some talent to work with, but meddlesome owners are not ideal nor is the tepid roster-building strategy. 4. Cardinals — The notion offered by owner Michael Bidwill that Kyler Murray will play a role in hiring the next head coach is a glaring red flag. Unstable organization, unproven franchise quarterback coming off a torn ACL and a roster in no man’s land. 5. Broncos — If ownership is willing to move off Russell Wilson’s contract, bump this up two spots or so. But I’d rather not play in Patrick Mahomes’ division. 9. Hard to believe we kicked the lion's asses a couple weeks ago.
  10. why would any coach that is waf want to collaborate with an owner who knows little to nothing about how to run a winning franchise ?
  11. In all honesty tepper needs to hire a couple of professionals to find the next head coach and get out of the way.
  12. let he who has not once huffed cast the first stone
  13. I thought intubated folks had to be put in a coma and kept in that state? Its not like the guy even if improving is going to sit up in bed or anything as long as he is intubated.
  14. I'm sure Tep could find a spot for Fit in the organization
