That is the thing though, Dallas is hoping that he will clear waivers so they can put him on the practice squad. They don't want to get rid of him. Only reason why he was released is because they are about to get their starting guys back from injury/suspension. Kind of like how we stupidly tried to stash Butker on the Practice Squad before KC took him.

Yeah, from what I've been reading the main reason why he was waived was due to them getting their starter back from injury. Tyron Smith is Questionable but expected to play and La'el Collins comes back next week from his suspension.

That was what I was thinking as well. I'm not sure where we are in the waiver order but I'd definitely try for him given our problems. Most articles I see about him talk him up though some of them do mention he has issues with Speed Rushers when playing LT.

LT Brandon Knight was waived by the Cowboys. I know people are probably thinking "Who?" but given the crap we have on our line do you guys think it might be worth it to put in a claim on him and see what he can do for us? I don't know much about him though some of the Dallas articles I've read stated he has Guard/Tackle flexibility. He is likely to go back onto the Dallas practice squad if nobody puts in a claim.

What ever man. He played well in 3 games and thus there wasn't a need to call him out and then in 2 he makes mistakes in which the coach addresses it saying he has to play better and make better decisions but, sure, they are "coddling" him.

Speaking of that, I know we have Sam Tecklenburg as a backup at Center. I really don't know much about him including preseason. I don't even remember him from Preseason. I don't expect much of him but I'll admit I am kind of curious.

Dude, reading through all these posts you are the one that appears butt hurt. Bloody hell man, did defense give the offense a chance to win? Sure, however, regardless of how well defense played throughout most of the game they DID make their fair share of mistakes that led to points. The 53 yard pass to a wide open Quez Watkins comes to mind as well as other cases of blown coverage. I'd rather that be acknowledged so that it can be worked on than to wear rose tinted glasses and pretend like they didn't have any problems. You make it sound he literally blamed it ALL on the defense when he literally called out the bad play by the offense as well as coaching decisions and special teams.

Strange concept but maybe watch the full press conference or read the comments here and you'd realize he didn't "Protect Sam" and he did talk about his poor performance.

The irony is if he HAD decided to try for the FG the same people would be blasting him for trying it. "He knew we don't have a reliable kicker so why try for it and......" blah blah blah. If I recall correctly something similar happened in the Dallas game where he went for it on 4th down and didn't get it and then they started roasting him "You should have just took the points on the board instead of going for it!". Given the absolute garbage that was playing around him and him doing well, would be a good choice.

Big problem with your statement though. CJ and Gilmore were happily on other teams with no signs of being released or traded at the draft. So with this in mind, there was no way to know Fit and the team would have a chance at them. CB/secondary help was a need in the draft as well and they took the player they thought was best available to fill a need. One OT wouldn't have helped especially now seeing how utterly terrible Paradis and the rest of the inside have played so far.

I have no faith in the OLine the rest of this season particularly the guards and that sad excuse for a center Paradis. Given his current track record on making moves I have hopes that Fitterer will address this next season though since we know they aren't going to be able to trade for anybody this season to help.

With this OLine? Nah, Cam would probably be in the tent especially seeing how many times Darnold got hit this game.

I guess they called it on that teeny tiny bit at the end on his jersey but that was a real BS call. Had more than a few penalties called on us that they didn't show a replay of that I really question.
