Definitely a solid start today. All three signings I’d imagine will be starters or at a minimum key role players. Give me a pass catcher or two and let’s turn our sites towards the draft.

Yeah, it's fun to speculate and I know there's already been the trade down rumors but you just don't make a move up to #1 like this unless there's one guy you're set on. The trade down stuff I'd assume is just us throwing a hail mary seeing if we can convince Houston we're taking their guy when in actuality we want the other and recoup some value. But I think there's one guy we have our eyes on, and with Person saying it's probably Stroud I trust him.

Imo people are greatly exaggerating the need for a tight end. Don't get me wrong we obviously need one, and an explosive pass catching one would be awesome to have. But there are what, five of those in the league? Plenty of teams just have bodies at tight end and still produce plenty. Every one is locking us into one at 39. If that is the best player on the board at that pick then obviously it's fine, but don't need to force it. This team just needs weapons in general. If there's a WR you like better at that slot it would be a fine pick also.

With every franchise QB that signs an extension the deal given to the previous one looks even better. Lamar has proven time and time again he’s the type of player that elevates a roster. Over the past three years (so this doesn’t count the MVP season!) Ravens offense is sixth in EPA with Lamar 31st with anyone else. And his supporting cast there is one of the worst in the league. The cap will only keep going up, odds are overwhelmingly favoring the chance that in five years a bunch of teams (including us) will wish they had just given Lamar this money right now.

A franchise QB who has won an MVP and is only 28 years old is just sitting there for the taking for the same price you’ll pay to draft someone that MIGHT have a 20% chance of being as good as Lamar. Make it make sense.

The people who think we’re going to be anywhere near bad enough to land a top 2 pick next year, especially after the accumulation of this staff, should have their posting privileges revoked.

Any idea on if the addition of Carr rules out a rookie QB or not? I saw one of your previous posts implied we could like Levis, and a redshirt season wouldn't be the worst thing for him. But I can't imagine Carr would have this situation at the top of his list if he thinks the team will invest highly in a rookie who they'll have to play at some point. If he plays well in NYJ/NO he could have that job for a few years. Personally I only like Carr if the team doesn't think they can get someone at 9. We know the way to win is to attack a window when your QB is on a rookie deal. Carr is okay, but that probably won't be good enough for us to actually be serious when you consider how much he'll have to be paid.

Maybe I’m in a minority here but I think Arthur Smith may still end up being a damn good coach.

Honestly it took me a while to buy into the Burrow hype. I'm someone who salivates over the elite physical traits and Burrow really doesn't have any. But his accuracy and mental fortitude are as great as we've ever seen.

I mean I'll entertain any argument Burrow is as low as #4 on QB rankings list right now but this is absolutely insane man. He's clearly elite. Far from Mahomes but still elite

Yeah I LOVE DJ. He is a phenomenal player/talent. But he's nowhere near that upper echelon of WR's (Jefferson, Chase, Diggs, Adams, Hill, Diggs)

He can run for 300 yards and 5 touchdowns in the second half then go for 600 more yards and 8 more scores in the Super Bowl and I still won't be mad about that trade.
