  1. I’d actually like Gardner if the price is reasonable, there are teams winning with far worse these days. People need to calm down, there’s like five good QB’s in the Nfl these days. Other guys that “win” do so because the surrounding roster and coaching is good. Just take an elite talent and focus on roster construction and make your move in a year or two. I’m sick of watching Teddy too but I can’t say I’m upset they didn’t pay this price if they weren’t in love with the options.
  2. You guys are getting it wrong. Every insider has Lance going #3 and projects that he’s the guy SF covets. Leaving Fields, who the Falcons will surely draft. They for damn sure wouldn’t deal with a division rival lmao
  3. I love how you bring up positional value, and I whole heartedly agree. I have been adamant on here that you spend first round picks on one of five positions: OT, WR, QB, DE, CB. That's it. That's the list. I don't care about the rest of your roster - you only invest in one of those positions when you're picking first round. Which is why I hated, and still don't like the Derrick Brown pick. Should have taken Wirfs. Alas, the exception is generational talents at other positions. Quinten Nelson, Luke Kuechly, Aaron Donald, etc. I truly think Pitts is a generational TE prospect, and that's not a label I toss around lightly. He's not solely a TE either, he lined up at WR plenty for the Gators. He's a matchup nightmare for defenses, and truly could be a Gronk/Gates-tier TE. He's worth it if we can't draft one of the four QB's.
  4. Please name 10 QB's better than Dak right now
  5. Perfect situation? Dallas was awful without him last year
  6. That is the going rate for QB's as good as him these days.
  7. So I'm here enjoying some cold Natty Lights and I'm thinking. So Watson probably isn't happening because Houston isn't moving him. The latest QB drama surrounds Russell Wilson. Who is one of the teams he would accept a trade to? The Dallas Cowboys. I am an enormous fan of Dak Prescott and think he's as good of a franchise QB as you can realistically hope for. He's not Rodgers/Mahomes/Watson good but he's in that next tier. Still young and seems like an incredible person. Jerry might be dumb enough to think Wilson makes his team significantly better (he doesn't, but alas) so maybe we give Dallas assets to tag and trade for Dak then they flip those assets to seattle for Wilson. Literally do this
  8. I'll officially be on the fire Rhule train if they take Jones over Lance
  9. If we aren't taking off the field stuff into equation this is a fuging insane take, and I agree with you on most things. JM was a good prospect and would have been a great fit in today's NFL if he weren't wrestling with a lot of demons.
  10. It’s racist https://t.co/LS7sZhNyVh
  11. I also like, legitimately don’t think Watson is getting traded before this next season starts
  12. I can’t imagine that contract has any sort of value
  13. I also wonder if players ever do this in the offseason just for shits and gigs to watch fans lose their minds lmao
  14. This dude literally doesn’t know anything. He throws these random rumors out all day and none of them end up being true. Shaq unfollowing the panthers is weird, though
  15. Tell me you have no idea how good Deshaun Watson is, without telling me you have no idea how good Deshaun Watson is
  16. Rodgers maybe is. Saying Brady and Wilson are better is just absolutely insane and tells me you don’t know even the smallest thing about analyzing this game. People have no idea how good he is. He was maybe the best QB in the league last year.
  17. Watson is more than even elite. After Mahomes, he's the most valuable player in the league. If you get a player like Watson, you just need an above average supporting cast to be fuging PERENNIAL Super Bowl contenders. You can get that above average roster through second, third round and free agency. Which, get Watson and you become a premier free agency destination. It is insane how overrated our young "core" has become. None of them are untradable if a player like Watson is actually on the table.
  18. Also look at the Chiefs. Sure they have good weapons (Hill, Kelce) but their offensive line is just meh and their defense is maybe above average? Point is you really don’t have to have an amazing team if you have a QB as good as Watson/Mahomes. Rams never use first round picks and they’re playoff regulars. RB’s don’t matter. Get Watson and we’re immediately one of the most sought after destinations in the league. Just build the team through free agency and add some pieces in the draft
  19. You think CMC is the best weapon in the league? he’s right. We’d be getting a player off the books that was only able to play three games this year due to health. There’s plenty of historical evidence that this is an enormous risk that comes with paying an RB, which is why you shouldn’t extend them.
  20. For some reason I originally read that post as "Wilson, Lance, and Fields" I didn't see Jones in that bunch. But yeah I agree Jones at 8 would just be awful
