  1. I would have been far more patient had Rhule not scrambled to make all these win now moves this year. We were sold on this being a longterm rebuild, then Rhule starts trying to cut corners like crazy early into year two which we had no business doing. We're really in a situation now I see no way we are good next year. I mean absolutely zero chance. We have a disaster of a QB situation and a disaster of an OL situation, and our second and third round picks have been traded away for players who aren't even playing right now. If you keep Rhule one more year under a playoff or bust mandate you only run the risk of him making more out of control moves to put the team in even worse shape. Cut your losses now, hire a coach with actual NFL experience and do the rebuild the right way this time.
  2. Fine rotation piece but just nowhere close to a second contract player right now
  3. It’s insanely concerning he barely even plays on third down and other crucial plays. Just a body in the rotation. Not like we could use Tristan Wirfs or Mehi Becton though!
  4. Aside of making a few plays he just never consistently makes any sort of an impact. Just a maddeningly frustrating draft choice.
  5. Far from a Mitch stan but I mean yeah, easily. And we could have paid like a million dollars for him instead of giving three picks and committing like $20 million to Darnold
  6. There are a few backs ups also that are easily better. Trubisky Lock Minshew
  7. No one. Absolutely no one. personally I still love it. Absolutely deserved for our pathetic efforts to build around Cam
  8. Brown over Simmons is fine. Brown over Becton, Wills, Wirfs? That’s an entirely different debate.
  9. That's not totally true. I immediately think about the INT Sam threw, that was fine protection and he had DJ for a score but never even looked his way and instead fired into like triple coverage. No part of that is on the OC.
  10. That is insane. Protection was fine today especially in the first half. He locks into one read and has some of the worst accuracy I've ever seen.
  11. I just... I think back to this game today. I think about the missed passes that killed drives. Protection was alright today. I'm not saying he's the next McVay, but I just don't think the offense is much of his fault right now. By far the biggest issue is this QB play.
  12. I don't care how bad we are right now, fug the team that trades for Deshaun Watson.
  13. Yeah, fug trying to make the playoffs by sending a sixth round pick for the best corner in the league!
  14. I also think it's unfair to say he was "burned." Cooper definitely had a step, but Henderson recovered decently well and he actually almost got his arm in there to break it up. Far from an embarrassing rep for Henderson, and it's not exactly like #19 for Dallas is a nobody.
  15. I just don’t get this notion. It was a third round pick and a sixth round pick. If they honestly looked better in practice you think they wouldn’t be playing?
  16. It’s still SO early but the difference between this and previous regimes is night and fuging day. Starting with the draft which he managed masterfully, giving the team more and more picks which have already been turned into early contributors such as TMJ, Tremble, Hubbard, Nixon, etc and obviously Horn who looked legit before injury. Early on looking like he CRUSHED fa. Jones, Fox, Reddick, even Erving hasn’t been a total disaster. Elflein sucks but overall that’s a hell of a haul. Thinking PROGRESSIVELY. Knowing the team wants to contend for a playoff spot this year, but instead of overpaying for a vet taking a chance on a guy with loads of talent that’s still crazy young. Someone that could help us this year and in the future. He is absolutely crushing it so far. This is not me anointing him, but I’m very cautiously optimistic.
  17. Cautiously optimistic but it's still early. I remember some people around here reacting similarly to Teddy early last year. Let's see how teams adjust, and I definitely think Matt and Joe are keeping things very simply for him so far to try and build confidence. Sunday could get very interesting. If it turns into a shootout, will Sam be good enough to keep us in a game like that until the end?
  18. If the timetable is 2-3 months, what is the downside to at least rehabbing with the intention of playing this year. If we can finish .500 we are in the thick of things for a wild card spot you would imagine. Don’t rush him, but if he’s done rehabbing by early December and we’re in line for a playoff spot it could be huge. Now if December rolls around and we’re 6-8 I agree there would be no point then. but could some explain to me what benefits choosing IR now would have if the recovery time is 2-3 months anyways?
  19. I couldn’t be further from a doctor but I thought he either rolled an ankle or did an Achilles. Can’t believe he shattered his foot on an injury like that. So strange
