  1. Sucks this is going to drag out longer, really need to know one way or the other lol
  2. Benjamin Allbright who I trust decently enough just had another very cryptic tweet. I wonder if this is done by tonight. I hate it for a million different reasons.
  3. Comparing Sam Howell to Zach Wilson is wild, can't think of a single thing they do similarly lol
  4. Unfortunately due to severe asset mismanagement, we just aren’t in position to take advantage of a potential scenario like this. We are going to have to use this pick to fill a need.
  5. I think I'm coming around to this. I'm largely someone that thinks Fitterer isn't even 10% the problem that Rhule is, but I also think he knew when accepting the job he would be playing second fiddle to Rhule. If this season is a trainwreck, fire them both by Thanksgiving, find your GM and let him pick his coach.
  6. I mean, he is far and away the most accurate QB in this class. Really not even sure who would be close. After what we experienced last year, it's not crazy to think our FO may latch onto that trait alone. I think calling him a mediocre athlete is a bit of a disservice, his athleticism is fine and maybe even above average. His arm isn't mad like Allen/Mahomes but he showed at Pitt he can make most of the throws you need. I am in no way endorsing him at all. I think taking him in the top 20 would be a massive error. But he's definitely the Mac Jones type of this class. Not a crazy ceiling but probably the highest floor of any of them. I do not think we should draft him anywhere near the top 10, but he was dominant last year and I think he definitely has a chance to end up in the Jones/Carr/Cousins tier of QB's. Can that win you an SB? Who knows, but we don't have anything close to it right now.
  7. He's definitely a guy that you have to have a clear developmental plan for if you draft him. He should be redshirting regardless. Very similar with how the Bills handled Allen, bring him along slowly and coach the hell out of him. I don't trust this staff to do any of those things. Really, for Malik's sake, I hope he ends up somewhere else.
  8. I think Pickett can still be a fine pro, and he clearly possesses traits where I can see why he could be a desirable option for some teams. I do find it hilarious though that he's apparently been a disaster at the Senior Bowl (which, really, shouldn't matter THAT much) but we're just over there smitten with him lol.
  9. I’m still firmly in the camp that Raheem Morris has earned another chance at this
  10. McAdoo is a really good coach since when?
  11. Apparently they have their second interview with McDaniel tomorrow
  12. David Newton has already crushed these rumors no?
  13. What’s sad is it’s far from the worst outcome this off-season could bring. That firmly keeps us in the running for one of the 2 QBs next draft.
  14. There's such a wealth of good football podcasts out there. The Athletic The Ringer Lombardi Daniel Jeremih The Roar for the Panthers.. Etc, etc
  15. I was also listening to The Athletic podcast a few days ago and they said trading back could be particularly difficult in this draft because it's not seen as a top-heavy draft. Of course all it takes is one team to fall in love with a guy, but trading back isn't near as easy as the PFF draft machine would lead you to believe.
  16. I think he always wanted to try the NFL, but I think even at this point he realizes he's in over his head. We already know he looked into a few college jobs again already.
  17. Just the entire circumstances around keeping Rhule seem so bizarre. Tepper has been great about listening to fans so far. Signing E Reid, re-signing Cam, etc. But the entire fanbase has never been unified as we are right now. Everyone can see that this is a lame duck administration. I think for me, the sheer lack of any sort of improvement anywhere is all you need to see. The team has objectively gotten worse over the past 48 months. I don't think anyone expected this to be a playoff team, but you do certainly expect to see some improvement by the end of year two and we've only seen the opposite. What is his long game here? Does he really want to just throw in the towel next year and start fresh with a new coaching staff and new QB (Young, Stroud)? If that is the plan... it may not be the worst I've ever heard. I'd really like to know what he's thinking deep down, because there's no way he thinks this is salvageable. Also, just because he struck out on his first coaching hire does not mean he is a bad owner! Even the best organizations miss on coaches all the time. I liked the Rhule hire when it happened, completely supported it and thought he'd build a winning culture and draft well. Sometimes you just miss, happens to everyone. What makes one a bad owner is clinging to a lost cause, like what is currently happening here.
  18. I had hope up until like Thursday but clearly the ship has sailed. Joe Person and Jonathan Jones have both said he's back this weekend
