  1. I think this is actually a very good and reasonable take
  2. We are winning more games but won’t make the playoffs. We will pick like 12 because these assholes can’t do anything right
  3. I could see Wilks being a decent NFL coach still, maybe even here. This fit just feels so awkward right now though. He’s obviously got the respect of the locker room, but that is far from the only qualification we should be looking for for this job. He’s beaten three of the very worst teams in the league. Cool! But I can’t help but think there could be more out there. He seems insanely conservative. Never goes for it on fourth, and when our run game isn’t working he has no clue how to adjust. Sure that could be something more on the OC, but these are things as a head coach you still have to figure out some. The biggest thing for me is we have nothing at QB. We’re probably going to draft and develop one, and I just don’t trust Wilks to build the ideal regime needed for this situation. If we had a guy in place already I’d feel way better about it.
  4. We could easily beat the Broncos and Steelers with scores of like 13-9
  5. There are just too many winnable games left I’m afraid. We’re not losing to all of Denver, Detroit, Pittsburgh, and New Orleans. And those first three are at home,
  6. Oh I’m not saying I take this as gospel. You just said you weren’t too sure about the sourcing so I figured I’d clarify a bit. You’re right there’s been nothing else reported yet, so if there’s any legs to it it’s very very early.
  7. Will Compton played at Nebraska, had a long NFL career, and now has a very popular podcast called Bussin with the Boys. It's not too crazy to think he knows plenty of people close to the Nebraska program. That job feels like a death trap but real talk I could see Matt Rhule and Nebraska being good for each other. But damn if I'm him I'm in no hurry to start working again lol.
  8. Seems to happen all the time. When quarterbacks become draft eligible they get scrutinized more, and we get really picky and look for flaws. When they’re still a year away, it’s easier to focus solely on the positives/ceiling. But I’m unwavering, it’s a massive failure of an off-season if you don’t draft a quarterback in round 1. Preferably Stroud or Young. Sell a future first if needed. We can not keep punting this issue. I’d still be thrilled with Bryce or CJ.
  9. Our QB had an elite fourth quarter last week and they’ve dialed up like one pass past the sticks today. Wilks and his conservative ass game planning can fug all the way off
  10. Listen: I'd go Anderson in this scenario also. But I've missed so badly on QB prospects over the years, if we do invest in Levis early in the draft he still has my full support. He's clearly drawing intrigue from the entire league. And I have to remind myself those actually working for NFL teams know a million times more than I ever will, regardless of what these draft "guru" types say.
  11. There's a great chance a few months from now we look back on this loss as a positive, as it will assuredly help our draft positioning. But got damn it stings like hell right now.
  12. Kind of wish we had taken the Burns package. He was invisible today
  13. Don’t think he’s made a single accurate pass yet
  14. Lol no chance, they'd 100% trade. Lawrence is the least of their problems
  15. Vibes are so good right now man. Sailing to #1 overall. Defensive foundation in place. A new treasure chest of assets to add to the roster. New franchise QB months away. For the first time in years it feels like we actually have a plan.
  16. Even by saying this you’re ignoring years of of data that prove my point. Besides AP I really can’t think of an RB that’s performed at an all pro level into their 30s.
  17. This is a fantastic haul for an RB that’s 26. I love this move as he just realistically did not fit our timeline and we needed picks in the worst way
  18. Just came to say that it is absolutely insane how many of you write a player off due to the school they attend. I mean I know internet forums aren't exactly a haven for rocket scientists, but I can't imagine being so dull to actually think that the school they attend means ANYTHING. I remember people said the same thing about USC WR's. Until JuJu came into the league, and Amon Ra St. Brown, and Drake London, etc. Neither are Andrew Luck, or maybe not even Trevor Lawrence-type prospects, but Young and Stroud are both very very good QB prospects that you feel good about taking #1 overall in like 75% of drafts. At this point I'm not even going to attach myself to one or the other, just bring me one of the two and I'll be very excited.
