Moral “players love Wilks” victory next week!!!
Wolfcop replied to Wanderlai's topic in Carolina Panthers
Not sure he should be a secondary coach after this week. -
The letdown is disappointing but it's good for the future
Wolfcop replied to LinvilleGorge's topic in Carolina Panthers
I got caught up in the hype and really wanted that NCFS title, but you are right. Reset is in order. -
I am proud of the players. Coaches let the team down. That is the first game that TB has given up that many points and still won.
-
Exactly what the NFL wanted, huh?
-
Brown played pretty good, but I wish we had those draft picks for Burns right now.
-
He needs to score about 5 TDs today to overcome my opponent having Evans today.
-
Its not about playing it safe. It is about giving up 3 deep balls like a high school team.
-
A defensive head coach lets 1 damn player single handedly beat us. Sorry, but get your resume ready, Wilkes.
-
No, just somehow let the same guy - who hasnt done anything all year - to beat us deep 3 times.
-
NFL setting the script up perfectly
-
You know, the best QB to come out of last year's draft may be Mr. Irrelevant. You never know.
-
Absolutely - that would be the best scenario.
-
I'm sorry. Prayers for you and your family.

Car/TB showing different approaches this week
Wolfcop replied to Cdparr7's topic in Carolina Panthers
I think Wilkes regretted the extra time off after the Seattle win. He changed his approach since then. It’s all business right now. -
Can Sam Darnold play himself into becoming the 2023 starter?
Wolfcop replied to Verge's topic in Carolina Panthers
This is the answer. There will be times the next 2 weeks that Sam will have to lead this team out of trouble. If he can do it, give him an offer. -
I was told Stroud folds under pressure. He has looked stellar the times I’ve seen him pressured this game.

remember when the Panthers hardly ever ran a screen
Wolfcop replied to electro's horse's topic in Carolina Panthers
There were 2 really good WR screens in the Lions game. The Shenault screen almost went the distance. -

Our running game and screen game is starting to open things up down the field. Darnold took advantage a few times last weekend and will need to do the same tomorrow. -
What would you consider a good record for a coach that had 3 different starting QBs in the same season and had to overcome the hand he was dealt? IF we make the playoffs and win the South, he deserves STRONG consideration.
-
If Wilkes finishes the season at 7-5 after Rhule started 1-4, you need to give the man the job. Then tell him we need to get a good young QB to pair with Sam, who also would have proven himself by QBing the team into the playoffs. Does not mean he gets the job long term, but would likely start the 1st game next season.
-
Just survive this game and we might be ok.
-
If we win the division, it means Sam played well through some tough moments. In that case, we may not be looking for a top-10 QB. This does not mean we will not take one with our 1st, wherever that falls, or a 2nd.

I went back and watched the DET game again. Sam missed on a few throws, but most everything he threw was a dime on Sunday. It is almost like aliens abducted him and turned him into a good QB. I guess strong OL play and a running game can do that for a QB. Not sure he can take the next step and make it happen when the opponent KNOWS he has to throw. I imagine we will get a chance to see that at some point in the next 2 games.

The Athletic Power Ranking and a funny comment about Foreman 21. Carolina Panthers (6-9) (Last week: 24) Win out and the Panthers complete one of the more improbable playoff runs in recent memory. If they’re going to beat Tom Brady and the Bucs this weekend, they may need to rely on a familiar face in the form of Josh Norman, who was signed to the practice squad after emerging star Jaycee Hornsuffered a broken left wrist during the 37-23 dismantling of the Lions. Meanwhile, did you know only Jonathan Taylor, Derrick Henry and Nick Chubbhave more 100-yard rushing games than D’Onta Foremanover the last two seasons? Wait until the Niners hear about this guy.

Baldy Breakdowns on Panthers physical o-line and run game
Wolfcop replied to Saca312's topic in Carolina Panthers
It was definitely a weekday game. Maybe MNF.
