  1. Brown sounds like another up and comer, future HC type. A lot of strong leadership on this coaching staff, which seems to fit well with Reich, who is less of an in-you-face kind of coach. No worries, there are plenty on the staff for that. Kind of like the green belts drill instructors in the Marines; the Senior Drill Instructor was the fatherly type that was there to motivate you and be a positive voice after the heavies yelled at you for awhile. It was a nice balance. lol
  2. Duce, once considered for HC in Philly, comes here as a RB coach Didn't know that. Cool!
  3. I am torn. I really want the QB of the future, but don't want to sell the farm (but would be willing to sell half the farm). Like Scott and some have said, I trust the current staff with whichever route they decide to go. Reich and some of these other coaches have a track record of getting the best out of the talent they have on hand, so maybe they make Carr look like a star, or at least a very capable QB.
  4. Exactly. With that brain trust, I give them the benefit of the doubt.
  5. I understand being torn on Carr, but he is definitely a class or 2 above the Darnold's and the Mayfield's of the world. We would likely be a playoff team, though not sure he is SB worthy.
  6. To be fair, Waller was out most of the season. I know because he was on my FF team. However, he DID have an elite RB, who was also on my team, along with CMC, Chubb, and Foreman. Yes, I won.
  7. The offense looked really good for most of the game. They would have won if not for the MJ of professional football doing his thing once again.
  8. What is this "cap" you speak of? Never heard of it.
  9. Love having an insider. Appreciate the info!
  10. Unless we can pull the Philly guy - which I don't expect - I fully expect Reich to be the play caller.
  11. From an article about what Carr and Reich may have looked like in Indy in 2022 (written last year): “Carr would help provide the Colts with the stability at quarterback that the team has been looking for since Andrew Luck retired in 2019. Carr is a strong-armed quarterback who would make explosive plays in a Frank Reich offense while also taking what the defense gives him and using his check-downs. At 30 years old, he still has plenty of years of good football in front of him” “Under Reich, Carr would be paired up with the best offensive mind he has ever been with and someone who has the full backing of general manager Chris Ballard and owner Jim Irsay.” https://www.si.com/nfl/colts/news/colts-qb-carousel-derek-carr
  12. Can’t throw all the drafts picks at Lamar AND have to pay that salary. The future is the rookie QB we draft, even if Carr (or pick your own vet QB) gets us through the next year or 2.
  13. Eagles are good. KC has Mahommes and Reid.
  14. Was a good call IMO. The ball rotated AND was pushed up by the ground when he went down
  15. The way the Eagles are going for it shows you why Wilks isn’t the head coach of the Panthers. That’s the kind of brass balls - and offensive ability - that Tepper wants to see.
  16. The Panthers franchise has become one of the most diverse in the NFL, from the front office to he coaching staff.
  17. I imagine with the current candidates, Reich will be the play caller.
  18. Same here. I like Lamar, but would rather spend those picks to move up for a rookie. Having a QB on a rookie contract is a huge advantage to being able to build around him.
  19. For 3 1st, they would drop to 9.
  20. If they determine they have THE man at QB, do it.
  21. I expect the Panthers to at least go to 5, and probably try to get to 3.
