  1. CJ was very clutch in the UGa game. He had the game won if the kicker does his job. Also, if OSU had Alabama”s defense, they would have easily won it all, including the Michigan game. Did you see all the big plays OSU’s defense gave up in that game? It was ridiculous. I do appreciate your post, though. It was well thought out and humble. If we do draft Young, I will support him 100%.
  2. I literally just told my wife that....wait. Maybe I shouldnt have said that.
  3. What if he was 5’8”, 150? I mean, where do we draw the line? 185-190 lbs is incredibly slight for an NFL QB, even if you can live with the height.
  4. That's awesome man! Get some good rest and do some internet QB scouting for us while you're recovering.
  5. Heard Todd McShay discussing how quickly Stroud processes and then shift to hit WRs with dimes. We have not seen that around here in a long time.
  6. Someone said, "Size is a skill". Kind of a funny way to put it, but you get the point. It absolutely matters. Doesn't mean it is a disqualifier, but it plays a part.
  7. CJ had to close 1 eye to throw the ball when his contacts went bad. He will fit right in to our recent QB history. Just kidding - that is amazing what CJ has overcome. Breaks your heart to know he has had all this success and his father could not be there for him. I hope he can truly forgive his father (sounds like he has) and learn to have a relationship with him under the circumstances.
  8. Stroud clearly takes loses hard and takes ownership. I have noticed that in the interviews/videos.
  9. If the Panthers really are interested in dropping down a spot, there would be a lot to gain by making the Texans believe they are taking Young. I doubt they are willing to drop more than 1 spot. AZ isn't moving up so that means IND and that might mean they would be stuck with a 4th choice if AZ trades down. That isn't happening.
  10. Young is not throwing this week. He is throwing at Alabama's 2nd pro day in April. Some have speculated that he is still recovering from an injury, but not sure that is legit. Perhaps he just wants to make sure he has the last impression.
  11. Simms called Lamar Jackson, Josh Allen the best QBs of the 2018 draft when everyone thought he was stupid. On that alone he should get some respect.
  12. OH NO @MHS831 don't join the dark side!
  13. Young would be generationally small for the position.
  14. Some of those watching the combine said it was the best ball placement they had ever seen in the passing drills (CJ). Others watching his tape say that he is the best pure passer in the last several years. Sounds pretty special to me. I have also read that no QB the size of Young has ever started in the NFL in the modern era. His frame is a concern. Look, Young was obviously special in college. None of us know how that will translate. There are concerns by some that he may not have the arm strength to get the ball where it needs to go when he is thrown off his rhythm in a crowded pocket. I have heard that by a few. We will see. I would be excited if we draft him, but concerned about the ability to keep him on the field.
  15. Agreed - you have to put yourself out there when you do this sort of thing. He has nailed a few that GMs and coaches got wrong, but he has also missed significantly on a few. It happens to everyone.
  16. He has scored most TDs in his sleep than DJM. I'll take that.
  17. Excellent point. I’d rather have Cooper at this point in their careers, too.
  18. That would be great for our rookie QB and this offense. Maybe even add a rookie mid rounder as well.
