I don’t agree with his assessment, though it’ll be interesting to see how these top 5 QBs wind up. Who knows? Hooker may wind up being the best of the bunch. I do think if he stays upright, Young will be a very good one, despite his limitations.
-
I think he was rating them on a specific trait at that point, though I don’t remember which one.

Let the dude get drafted first. One thing I can tell you about him, he would rather focus on preparing than interviewing for fluff pieces.
-
I do not think that being slight makes someone more prone or less prone to concussions. I am more concerned about other types of injuries for Bryce. That said, he is the man now, so let's go!
-
Yeah, Bryce could be our next franchise QB. It will be nice to hang onto. And I still like to have an occasional magazine to flip through and enjoy old-school style.

Is the print version of SI out today?

CJ Henderson and Keith Taylor in Evero’s defense

How will Bryce Young or CJ Stroud fit…whoops, wrong thread! -
Stroud did not do poorly according to the founder of the test. He said all the top QBs did well.
-
I have been a Stroud guy during most of this process, but the thing that changed my mind on Young was this: my son is a smaller QB for his age, and I want him to have a role model who wears a Panthers jersey. Bryce seems like a good one to pattern your game after as a QB who is smaller in stature. I would still be excited about CJ, but the father in me wants Bryce.
-
He studied Rodgers closely, so those comparisons make sense.
-
Struggles with down-the-field accuracy, but hopefully he will still come around to being a capable backup.
-
They don't need a separate cap for QBs. Marginal QBs would then start holding out for more money. Plus, it would give teams with elite QBs an even bigger competitive advantage.

Came here to post this. Pretty much shoots down the rumors about CJ scoring low.

Hypothetical scenario (that's still possible)
Wolfcop replied to Lurk21's topic in Carolina Panthers
Some people consider Young a generational talent. If the Texans are close to that opinion, they will give up 12. Then again, if the Panthers think that, they aren’t dropping from 1. -
I was thinking about that earlier today. That'll be a cool one to watch.

I came here to say the same thing. I had my high on March 10 at about 5:30. Its not a high now. More like DTs.

On today's episode of Panthers Subliminals...
Wolfcop replied to PanthersGOATFan336's topic in Carolina Panthers
Young is no doubt the most instinctive QB, not only of this draft, but of the last several years. The question remains: Can you live with the other aspects - weaknesses - that you will have to live with? The same can be said about Stroud in some areas. HE is probably the most accurate QB of the last several years, but can he be as mobile as you need, and can he process NFL defenses the way you need him to. On April 27th when the pick is made, we have to trust that the staff has answered those questions the best they can. -
Not sure if this has been posted. Interesting comments from Sheena Quick regarding the decision about QB and she seems to indicate that the Panthers would consider a trade down if pick #12 is involved. Starting about 11:37
