Jonathan has been a Panthers fan for several years. This was all a business decision.

JA is a friend of mine and I will miss him covering the Panthers, but I am happy for him.

I used to go to TC when they ran 2-a-days. That was a ton of fun. I don't blame them for stopping that, but it was cool from a fans perspective who was travelling to watch TC.

Sheena Quick on Baker Mayfield to Panthers trade
Wolfcop replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
Average would be an upgrade. -
Granted, I did not watch enough games, but would we not be better off getting a top notch center and then bringing in a forward who can shoot and be more dynamic?

NFL Network analyst suggests Rhule needs Mayfield to save his job
Wolfcop replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers
Anyone who is being honest with themselves has to admit, "no". -
How much would you trade for Baker for 1 year rental?
Wolfcop replied to Cam's New Arm's topic in Carolina Panthers
I see your argument, but Mayfield had a better year than Darnold by quite a bit, all while being injured for a majority of the year. I’d get Mayfield and dump Darnold. Let MC develop behind Mayfield. Mayfield has actually seen success in the NFL. Darnold hasn’t. -
Oh wow, Kenny Atkinson refuses the hornets head coaching job
Wolfcop replied to philit99's topic in Charlotte Hornets
Would prefer Snyder over Atkinson. -
Don’t get me wrong, I’m excited to see Corral. I just don’t see Fitt and Rhule rolling with Darnold or a rookie in what might be their final go-round.
-
This is not going to happen with a coach/GM that are on a short leash.
-
Baker is not a world beater, but he has done significantly better than Darnold when healthy. He is probably not the long term answer, but if you think you can upgrade for the coming season, you do so. Corral needs to be able to develop slowly.
-
If that is the case, he needs more reps in practice, not less. If Mayfield comes in, Darnold needs to go.
-
"A QB you can win with, not a QB you win because of." I can live with that.
-
I don't think anyone on this team has earned a day off for mini-camp. Many of them took the bulk of the season off last year. Everyone needs as many reps as they can get.
-
So, throw in the towel before the season starts? Good thing the Bengals, coming off a bad season the year before, did not do that last year. They were coming off 5 straight losing seasons, actually. If the Panthers get a break at QB with Mayfield, Garapollo, an improved Darnold, or an overachieving Corral, the team could make the playoffs. You don’t twirl in the towel at this point.

Most FAs that spend 2 days are likely to sign.

Hope springs eternal. I don't feel the optimism about Rhule, but I hope you are right. I do think we will be more competitive IF the OL improves AND we get better QB play from someone AND CMC stays healthy.
-
Don’t be surprised if this former panther becomes available
Wolfcop replied to TheCasillas's topic in Carolina Panthers
I would sign him on the cheap. He would be my #3 or #4 if he can stay healthy. -
Which current players would start on the 2015 team?
Wolfcop replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
Moton, Moore, a healthy CMC I don't think I would change anything about the 2015 D in that game. They played very well that game in what should have been a winning effort. -
Luke's calf muscles look in game shape.

News like this is not something that needs to be pre-alerted. Those who did look silly right now.

...but, they did not display our best uniform combo IMO: blue top/white pants.
