Mayfield "at an immediate disadvantage" (The 33rd Team)
Wolfcop replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers
Dude is supposed to have a photographic memory. That was one of the things coaches were saying about him coming out of college. He picks things up quick. -
We will wear them again in the playoffs.
-
That Mayfield pick is a 2024 pick, but I still agree.

We are a CHAOS team per Brooks, but some see us as a team in chaos
Wolfcop replied to top dawg's topic in Carolina Panthers
It appears that the Panthers made many improvements to the team this offseason, but the improvement needs to show up on the field. This is a pivotal year for many people associated with the franchise. -
Plays that will get panthers fans excited about Baker
Wolfcop replied to Panthers Fan 69's topic in Carolina Panthers
He has talent. The Panthers will be able to live with him and his moods/attitude if he wins. If not, they will move on quickly. -
The timing would be good, building momentum with the recent positive news we’ve gotten.

Would you welcome back Star Lotulelei.....

That man has had an impressive career considering the questions about his health early on. Loved having him on the team. -
Why has the team made it impossible to buy a white jersey?
Wolfcop replied to FuFuLamePoo's topic in Carolina Panthers
I have one of each color for Keyshawn Johnson. I was so excited when he signed and then he was only a Panther for 1 year. I still hear about that from my wife. -
Vikings Wire writer taking potshots at Panthers
Wolfcop replied to top dawg's topic in Carolina Panthers
As bad as we supposedly are, they barely beat us. Maybe he needs to be writing about his own sorry team. -
Was hoping to see something from other than Panthers.com. Thanks Ivan!
-
They spent all offseason trying to replace Darnold. It's Baker's job to lose.
-
Corrall will get his shot next year UNLESS he comes out looking great in camp. Either way, his time is coming.
-
That offense didn't beat us. Von Miller did.
-
Exactly right. If our offense hangs onto the ball and scores points, the defense automatically improves. Besides the points you made, the defense does not get as worn out from being on the field all day.
-
Most rankings of the NFCS QBs have Mayfield 2nd in the Division. Not a major feat, mind you.

New Pod: The Baker Breakdown (guest: Josh Klein/Riot Report)
Wolfcop replied to ellis's topic in Carolina Panthers
Thanks brother. Perfect to listen to while cutting the grass this weekend! -
Can you imagine the attitude we would get from Baker if he has a good season and we tag him? Hopefully it doesn’t come to that. Hopefully he is thankful for a fresh start and keeps a good attitude.

Training Camp Interest Post-Mayfield Trade
Wolfcop replied to kungfoodude's topic in Carolina Panthers
Most definitely more interesting with Mayfield…and seeing the development of Matt. -
I'm sure it is about the bonus he can get if he reaches certain milestones.
-
Guess they’ll do the fluff pieces tomorrow then. Let’s go Baker…you’re our only hope (this year).
-
Definitely worlds better than the trade for Darnold
-
I keep seeing that, but have my doubts. We will see now I guess.
-
I heard a couple of analysts say that Baker will pick up the playbook quickly. He excels in that area according to them. With that being the case, no reason that he will not be ready for Week 1. Panthers keep 3, at least early on. Hopefully, they will get trade offers for the loser of the "QB battle" (Sam).

Carolina Panthers are a mess, bad situation, etc.
Wolfcop replied to NAS's topic in Carolina Panthers
The national talking heads are regurgitating the same argument. They don’t care what moves we have made to improve. Until the Panthers start winning, the narrative will be the same. One of the most underrated improvements made was the upgrade in assistant coaches. That alone can make a huge difference. I don’t know if Mayfield is going to be the answer, but if he plays like the 2000 version, we have a chance to be vastly improved, especially if CMC stays on the field.
