  1. And, they both may bust. Such a gamble when taking these guys so high, especially after the haul we gave to get to #1.
  2. Some argue that Young is at his ceiling now. Not sure how you could know that either way, though.
  3. At some point, they will make an offer. It may be when we are on the clock, but it's coming. The question is, do we take it.
  4. All you Youngsters may get your way. I hope you don’t regret it a few years from now. Many analysts believe that Stroud is a better fit for the Panthers and has a higher ceiling, even those who think Young is better right now. We will see. I think we will all be pulling for whomever gets picked and hope he is an All-Pro.
  5. Kind of like when it moved a lot after the trade.
  6. Would you hear if he had been unimpressive? lol
  7. Excellent...the smokescreen is working as planned.
  8. If we don't go this route, I am afraid we will regret it.
  9. I would not pay attention to the betting lines until the week of the 24th. It shifted about 2-3 days before the draft last year.
  10. Yep, a sudden wave of info...almost as if it was intentionally done.
  11. It may be Bryce in 2 weeks, but if I was a franchise trying to convince another franchise I was going to take their beloved QB, this is how I would leak info. I bet Houston is really nervous right now after thinking the last month we were taking Stroud. That nervousness is what makes teams give up draft capital.
  12. Just saw David Carr say that Stroud fits the Panthers offense better and Young fits Houston’s better. He said it would benefit everyone if that’s how it goes.
  13. I after hearing from Matt Miller, it seems they traded to #1 for Stroud. Who knows if it has/will shift. Our best inside source on this board says it’s Stroud. We shall see.
  14. I think he is making some assumptions based on what he put in that article. Even so, he admits its not a done a done deal, like you said.
  15. If the Texans are opposed to taking Stroud, things could get very interesting with a trade. Hopefully it would be worth that #12 to them. Could you imagine??
  16. I certainly get that. He is tiny and that will be more pronounced on the next levels
  17. Seems like a smokescreen to me. Guess we will find out in 2 weeks.
  18. “Think of the defensive coordinators he’ll face, and how much they’ll emphasize putting good hits on him. I don’t see how that’s not a big factor when you put a grade on him.” Think of 6-8 Calais Campbell and 6-3 David Onyemata bull-rushing Young on the Atlanta defensive front—Campbell has 10 inches and 110 pounds on Young.” scary
  19. Perhaps. I have favored CJ since before the trade up, but the more Bryce Young I watch, the more I like him. The Panthers brass may feel the same and the events and meetings since the trade may have swayed them back to considering BY. Ultimately, I think I’ll still prefer CJ, but who knows what the Panthers will be thinking in 2 and a half weeks (getting closer).
  20. Highly doubt there would be a trade until the Panthers are on the clock, or just before. The Texans would need to be convinced that the Panthers are about to take their guy. There is usually pretty good info leaked by then that Houston would feel good about.
  21. This was one of the best guests that Julian has had. Excellent info from Matt Miller. Good to know that Stroud was the one they traded up for. Doesn’t make him a lock, of course (see 49ers & Matt Jones).
