It was a stark contrast to how they (Rhule) was ready to throw Teddy B out into the street last season. Until we do something else at QB, I’ll refrain from giving him the benefit of the doubt.

A breath of fresh air until you hear him gloating over Sam Darnold and emphasizing the need to prop him up with top tier talent literally everywhere in order to get an resemblance of consistent success out of him. This front office is willing to ride the Darnold decision to their deathbed.

They wasted no time last year to show their cards on moving on from Teddy. That same energy wasn’t brought to the table in regards to Darnold.

I watched both press conferences yesterday, begrudgingly, and came away even more defeated. Whether it was some pretty serious coach-speak or flat out lies - both Fit and Rhule seemed very supportive and confident in going into next season with Sam as our starter. It purely seemed like the overall approach is to protect him and magically he will be the guy. Newsflash: Darnold sucks and he is what he is.
