My friend is a Rangers fan. I try and stay positive with him. Hell a 1st round playoff loss is progress for them.
-
Fug I was really hoping this was going to end in Boston.
-
Any world on Raanta?
-
I didn't say I wanted it but if things go South he could be the one to take over.

Some of the best coaches have coached both sides but specialize in one. I mean it goes beyond that and being a successful NFL head coach is insanely hard and really depends on your evaluation of coaches around you. Rhule hasn't imo been great at that either. He believes his system is superior and I'm not convinced.
-
He might get Rhules job.
-
It's why I'm never really excited about coaches who are just managers. They don't really have a particular skill set other than evaluation. Bill Parcells is probably the best one to ever coach like that but not many have come close to his success.
-
Oh most definitely and Boston is going to be dirty as poo. Still they don't have the firepower we do on both sides. They are going to need the refs just to keep it close.
-
Don't jinx it my dude. We got to keep playing hard.

The one thing that is nagging at me about our QB pick...

Suck my ho. Don't say stupid things and you won't get turned out. -
What are the biggest weakenesses on offense and defense?

QB and LB. Thread... -
Not surprised he's already washed out. Not fast, doesn't create turnovers, and can only play zone scheme. He probably will go to the Cummanders.

Corral college tape vs. Darnold college tape
Snake replied to Wundrbread33's topic in Carolina Panthers
Imo Sam Darnald relied on his talent which he probably had more of any anyone on the field in college. Corrals decision making it far beyond Darnalds was in college. So to simply say it. Darnald has more arm talent Corral has more mobility Corral will have a better QB IQ. -
Not much difference in Matt Rhule, Rivera, and Fox. All hurney type coaches. The only difference is Rhule has zero NFL experience where Fox and Rivera were very good DCs.

He's never going to be Mayfield idiot. He wasn't even drafted in the 2nd round. -

Biggest problem I saw was he let balls hang up our under threw them. Both were because he has poor mechanics with his footwork. Same as Cam and Darnald. The big question is can BM progress him and get those problems gone. If he can then he will be a very accurate QB. -
The Rangers and Penguins are going to be beat up next series. Holy poo.
-
None of those guys are worth their price. Hell Darnald is proof why those guys are just not good enough.
-
Darnald=Foles at this point in his career.

Me thinks you may be overvaluing a Rookie coming from the ACC. Some DEs do change positions but majority rush the LT. When you have a QB that sees ghosts and another that's a Rookie you need experience at LT. That way they don't get creamed on their blindside. I'm not sure if people have paid attention but that's exactly what happened last year. Not only that but as good of a play as Ikem Ekwonu is his struggles come in pass pro. Letting him be nasty on the right side year one would be a smart move while he learns the moves of a NFL DE.
-
Because you don't understand how a offensive line works. It's not as plug and play as you see it. LT is the most difficult position to play in the NFL and starting a guy there who has faced ACC talent isn't a great idea if you want to win games. Especially when you have a elite RT that can play LT. Not only that but you need to protect the blindside of a QB especially when that QB is a rookie or sees ghosts. This is why Jordan Gross started out at RT his first year and it wasn't a "more difficult position" for him. It allowed him to progress and build NFL skills.

The way I see how the offense is done is this way. Fitters/Rhule draft everyone but QB. That's choice is given to the OC. Under Brady just like Payton he preferd to trade or sign a QB. Under BM it seems he preferd to draft one. Imo I'm not sure that's a great idea and you also have Tepper wanting a QB he could sell. So I still see disorganization in the FO and me personally would prefer the GM handle the draft and personal choices but it's not me. If this implodes I'm not really sure who's to blame because it seems the water is about as Muddy as the Mississippi.
-
Moton is a better LT at this point. You don't face pass rushers in NC State like you will in the NFL. Facing the slower man especially in run blocking is a smarter move. Unless you just want Rhule and this team to do poorly. Then that would work out quite well.
-
I could get it if we didn't draft the best run blocking LT this year. But we did and it makes no sense to take lumps at LT. Let's just hope it was more Brady with the poor personal choices on offense and Moton not playing LT being one of them.
