Inside the Carolina Panthers' three seasons of quarterback failure
Snake replied to Vox's topic in Carolina Panthers
It's year two bud. The success of a QB isn't going to solely depend on him but the film shows he's making NFL throws while under extreme pressure. I still love how the huddle can crown PJ after one good game but can't see Fields progressing in a terrible situation they just started to get right. -
Damn I was hoping we could trade him.
-
I've used both and it has its place but it isn't sports.
-
I like the fact this board isnt filled with brain dead fans that overreact every week and have zero knowledge. I remember when the Panthers huddle didn't exist and the ESPN board was trash with a cowboys fan as a mod who would ban anyone for speaking out on their boys. Not to mention the poo show that was the observer. Discord has that feel now imo.

See all what? Rhule was a terrible coach but that doesn't mean Fields will be a terrible player. I don't really have time to go in depth on that but I did summarize why on another post in this thread. -

Yeah I think Rhule would have been really successful if he was given a team he didn't really need to coach. Fields also wouldn't have saved Rhule but neither did Horn. -

He's a second year QB behind a terrible line. Stats aren't everything in the development of a QB. Cam had many years with a comp in the 50s because we never had a great line and he was always under duress. -
I think it's somewhat in the middle like most things. It will be interesting to watch the Falcons game because they are a scrappy team playing pretty good football. Our defense is definitely looking much better as well without Snow's BS.

Well the stats are misleading for two reasons. One he's behind one of the worst OLs in the NFL. It just might be worse than our last year. Yikes I know. Two he definitely wasn't ready day one and OSU doesn't really progress QBs very well for the NFL. See how raw Stroud is if you want to know what I'm saying. Now with that out of the way he's showing glimmers this year. It's not consistent yet but it's there. If the bears invest in a OL that can pass block he will be a force year 4 and 5. If not he's probably going to develop happy feet and be inconsistent. Geno Smith is a perfect example of how a terrible OL and coaching can make a young QB look horrible but a change in venue can correct that. Fields isn't fundamentally flawed in any way. His decision making is on par for his experience and his environment is down right terrible. Sorry I know it's a long winded response but that's the cliff notes on him. -
Fitts seems to get good value for players then turn around and give up those picks to bad one. Idk if that's more Rhule or him. Guess time will tell.

Boy how I don't want to read that. Not only did we pick 3 dud QBs, run off our franchise QB, but also not take Fields who is looking more and more like a franchise QB. Complete failure in the QB department. -
I've never been a fan of using has been QBs. Jake Delhomme was a exception but he was also never used and was on a team that didn't evaluate talent well. Finding a good QB isn't hard picking in the top 5 if you evaluate well. The only catch is most teams picking top 5 have bad FO and that's why failure rate is high.

We pretty much have already done that the last 4 years but don't let my logic get in the way of your insanity.
-
You do realize even if we are undefeated in our division that's just 6 wins right?
-
We fuged ourselves with the TB win. fuging Brady.
-
I am 38 own 23 airbnbs and could afford the joint but there is only two problems. I fuging hate everyone one here and I would bring back neg rep to smack. This place would be worth $14 after I'm done with it. Anyone else want to gloat about their success.
-
We are still not a great team. The only two wins we have are in our division and we caught them right. Either way it would totally be the Panthers to lose out another year's worth of QBs.
-
You're simping pretty hard for a team with 2 wins there bud. Might want to lay off the knob for awhile.
-
It's also a proven fact that men who prefer to stay a bad team love me doing bad things with their girlfriend/wifes. Funny how life is.

League denies refs asked Evans for autograph
Snake replied to MechaZain's topic in Carolina Panthers
When has the league ever gone after a ref. Almost never. -
Chemo is better than cancer. We don't need to put ourselves out of the top 3 much less top 5 or 10. Every win does that.
-
Henderson has been as bad as he was with the Jags. We got fleeced on that trade. Hopefully moving forward we don't need to collect every CB from around the league and draft.
-
8 of our 10 remaining games are winnable.
Snake replied to thunderraiden's topic in Carolina Panthers
No most football games are won with talent and great coaching. Thus why we have 2 wins. -
Only on the huddle is being logical considered being triggered.
