  1. Don’t see a reason why not, especially if this regime is shown the door. The new guy will deservedly want his man.
  2. I have this gut feeling all the top OL will get picked ahead of us, especially since there are no QBs worth top 10 picks and one of the top DL will fall to us. It won’t be a tragedy since our DL needs just as much help as the OL but I still would prefer one of these OTs.
  3. As fans most of us want something to hope for. Even if rolling with Sam is the smart move it doesn’t make it any easier to swallow….
  4. It probably will not be a rookie QB unless we draft another Cam who by the way went 6-10 his rookie year. Granted we have a better team but I find it hard to believe any rookie QB gets us to the playoffs let alone the record Rhule needs to keep his job.
  5. A rookie won’t save Rhule and he knows that. Unless we get really really lucky it’s unlikely a rookie gets us above 500 let alone playoffs. Not surprising they think rolling with Darnold may just work.
  6. Meh..seems we are pretty open. Nothing definitive from what he’s saying…
  7. I would rather go OL this draft but our DL was also getting abused last season and with probably just as many or more question marks as the OL going forward. And similar to OL it is an expensive position to fix in free agency.
  8. If the draft falls a certain way I wouldn’t mind going DL in the first round. The DLine got abused last year and is desperate for top tier talent.
  9. I agree with your assessment. However you could argue that in the SEC Burrow was also playing against teams who had similar squads stacked like NFL rosters. Not to mention unlike Pickett, Burrow was a two year starter at LSU and had to change programs. That convinces me that Burrow has that “it” factor and that Pickett may have been a man amongst boys in his fifth year.
  10. I’m sure it has nothing to do he was at the same program for his whole 5 year college career, a four year starter, and only produced relevant numbers in his 5th year. Outside of his small hands him and Burrow couldn’t be further apart.
  11. For me 2022 is a wash. Rather run with Darnold and when he eventually fails as he has done through his career, Rhule will get the can and a new regime gets a good shot at a rookie QB next season.
  12. Rhule is pretty much signing his own pink slip. I hope this means we do these sensible thing and draft OL.
  13. Makes sense since a rookie QB isn’t going to amass the wins Rhule needs to stay afloat and he might not be here to “develop” one.
  14. If we actually build a solid DLine to maximize his output he scan be lethal for us. But I also wouldn’t be against a trade especially if it invoked a first round pick.
  15. Rhule is still here so the suffering will continue either way…
  16. Rhule should be forced to ride or die with Darnold and Henderson deals.
  17. Trading next years first when are far from being a SB contender makes no sense. Even if our organization believes this draft class isn’t week, no QB in this class has the same “it” factor of a Cam or Andrew Luck. Even with Cam we went 6-10 his rookie year and we are far from being the NE Patriots who can protect our rookie QB like they did Mac. Good chance our 1st round pick is in the top 10 again next year.
  18. As in they excelled at LT the primary position they were drafted in or that they were still top to serviceable players at new positions like Guard or RT?
  19. I’d appreciate if someone could compound on this answer.
  20. My main issue Is the man who’s responsible is still employed. Gross incompetence like this is hardly tolerable. I hope it doesn’t set a precedent….oh wait the same owner kept Hurney…
