  1. Miami Herald Armando Salguero @ ArmandoSalguero 6h My question is WHY would the Saints trade Kenny Stills? Why? Productive. Cheap. What's the catch? 6h Now I'm being told there were questions about Kenny Stills's work habits. Apparently enjoys the nightlife. No worries in Miami.
  2. landryfootball.com Chris Landry @ landryfootball 4h still don't see how Saints can avoid NOT releasing Jahri Evans w/ his contract #--restructuring at his age only complicates things down line Mar 10 The Jets and Patriots cornerback outlook have both taken dramatic turns today---Pats lose 2 top quality starters while Jets add 2.
  3. SportsTalk 790 in Houston Jayson Braddock @ JaysonBraddock Mar 12 I gave OT Jake Fisher a first round grade when I evaluated him but barely missed 1st round in pre-free agency mock. Like the kid a lot.
  4. NFL.com: "Oregon's Jake Fisher made some money with stellar pro day. Representatives from all 32 NFL teams..were present for Oregon's pro day on Thursday. ... Jake Fisher helped himself as much as anybody so far at this year's pro days ... Fisher made some money Thursday." http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000478650/article/oregons-jake-fisher-made-some-money-with-stellar-pro-day "Jake Fisher boosts stock... Nearly 100 NFL scouts, coaches and GMs attended Oregon's Pro Day" http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000478708/article/thursdays-proday-recap-bud-dupree-jake-fisher-boost-stock
  5. Director of Player Personnel/NFL Scouting Consultant at LeCharles Bentley Offensive Line Performance Duke Manyweather @ BigDuke50 5h I see people are starting to finally realize the caliber of player Jake Fisher is & quality of tape he has put out #FilmNeverLies
  6. Draftbreakdown.com Luke Easterling @ LukeEasterling Mar 12 Jake Fisher looked incredibly athletic at Oregon's pro day? No surprise here. My No. 2 OT.
  7. NFL.com Gil Brandt @ Gil_Brandt Mar 12 Mariota did well but guy who really made lots of $$ today was OT Jake Fisher. Ultra-athletic. Moves around like pt guard. Possible 1st round
  8. Gil Brandt @ Gil_Brandt 43m Oregon State's Sean Mannion had a great pro day today, throwing the ball like an NFL QB. A lot of teams will likely take a look at this kid.
  9. Grantland lists the 10 worst free agent signings so far, including: Frank Gore to Indianapolis - a running back who is about to enter his age-32 season. Just 11 running backs since the merger have carried the ball 200 times in their age-32 season, and they collectively haven’t been very good , averaging 3.8 yards per carry. http://grantland.com/the-triangle/the-10-worst-free-agent-deals-so-far/?ex_cid=espnTW
  10. Prosportsedits14 @prosportedits14 Congrats to @DeAngeloRB for his new deal with the #Steelers
  11. NBC Dianna Marie Russini @ NBCdianna 25m The @Steelers QB Coach, Randy Fichtner, was @DeAngeloRB 's Offensive Coordinator at the University of Memphis. This should be a good fit.
  12. ESPN David Newton @ DNewtonespn Mar 10 #Panthers Rivera on DeAngelo Williams . "DeAngelo will forever be remembered as one of the quintessential Panthers of this era."
  13. Adam Schefter @ AdamSchefter Mar 11 Now here's a fit that makes a ton of sense: former Panthers RB DeAngelo Williams is scheduled to visit the Steelers on Friday, per source.
  14. CBS 2 TV Pittsburgh Sports Director Bob Pompeani @ KDPomp 2h Deangelo Williams should be a Great fit for Steelers as a compliment to Bell... 1h As for Williams, he knows how to start & be feature back (which he will for first 2 games) and he knows how to split carries ( with Stewart)
  15. columnist for Pittsburgh Sports, Dejan Kovacevic @ Dejan_Kovacevic 40m And on what HAD been a slow news day around here, @Steelers now also signing DeAngelo Williams . The RB I'd most hoped they'd land.
  16. MIA welcomes Pro Bowl TE Jordan Cameron 2-year/$15 million deal, $5 million guaranteed Pro Football Focus @ PFF 38m Jordan Cameron 's 1.93 Yards Per Route Run last season were behind only Rob Gronkowski and Travis Kelce among TEs. FOX Sports Josh Williams @ Jay_NFL 3h Jordan Cameron is going to be a great fit for Tannehill phinsphocus.com Daniel Eliesen @ DanielEliesen 16h Jordan Cameron is exactly the big body target Ryan Tannehill needs. Brunosko @ DJ_Brunosko Mar 10 Dolphins need to get Jordan Cameron what a pick up that would be Tannehill!!!
  17. He was PFF 's #16 ILB in 2014 and was the 7th ranked ILB in run defense by PFF with a +7.7. Started all 16 games for the Vikings. Rolando McClain is still an unsigned FA and Sean Lee should be returning from injury.
  18. lol Rand Getlin @ Rand_Getlin 1h Source on the # Giants : "Nobody knows what [they're] going to do at free safety ...They don’t have one on the roster that started an NFL game" Thread on the above tweet on Giants forum: THIS MAKES ME FEEL WONDERFUL..... http://boards.giants.com/showthread.php?58763-This-makes-me-feel-wonderful NY Daily News Sports @ NYDNSports 12h Giants running out of options to replace Rolle at safety http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/football/giants/giants-running-options-replace-rolle-safety-article-1.2147808 Anything Irrelevant @ anythirrelev 51m It's looking more and more the Giants are going to be taking a safety in the first round since Reece has been so masterful in FA. #nygiants
  19. Jordan Schultz @ Schultz_Report 4h Greg Hardy clearly comes w/baggage, but may be worth noting the presence of Charles Woodson, Justin Tuck, even Carr. Lots of support in OAK
  20. back on Raiders getting former Nebraska Cornhusker RB Roy Helu: PFF: "In 2014 Helu had 477 receiving yards, which was fourth-best for all backs in the NFL, and he did this on only 44 targets... 95.5% of passes thrown Helu’s way were caught. Helu also has performed well after the catch. His 11.7 yards after the catch per catch led all backs with more than 15 targets... His 3.4 yards after contact per carry was among the best for backs. This helped him to an Elusive Rating of 108.6 which was the best for backs with over 50 touches." https://www.profootballfocus.com/blog/2015/03/11/five-moves-that-make-sense/
  21. back on the Chargers (who missed playoffs in Week 16 year) signing RT/OG Orlando Franklin: PFF: "He makes the line a lot better.. .. a huge improvement over what they had [at OG]. Franklin also has the versatility to play multiple positions. ... In 2013 he was the Broncos’ right tackle and was the fourth-highest graded in that year. In each of the past three years he has graded above a +5.0 in both pass blocking and run blocking." https://www.profootballfocus.com/blog/2015/03/11/five-moves-that-make-sense/ Chargers blog film study concludes: "The Chargers not only got a massive upgrade at left guard, they signed their new best offensive lineman." http://www.boltsfromtheblue.com/2015/3/12/8194087/what-the-chargers-are-getting-in-orlando-franklin
  22. Seattle fans are thinking more like 800-900. I like Graham but he is soft as a baby's butt as a football player. Vacarro shows up as a rookie and smacked him around like a bitch in his first camp. Graham never got over his "don't foul" basketball mentality. Yes he's great because he has such physical dominance over pretty much all other players but he could have been so much greater if he wasn't such a puss. He's on the decline now at age 29. Good news is those tough SEA defenders will beat and rag on him so much in practice that hopefully they make him pull his skirt up, grab his balls, and be a man. If so he might have good value in his past-his-prime years like Witten and Gonzales gave their teams as past-their-prime TEs
  23. fascinating. Lofton was rated the #56 out of 60 qualifying ILBs per PFF (the guy who was #60 was the guy Lofton replaces for the Raiders for 2015). In 2014, Lofton failed to tally a single sack despite rushing the passer 98 times. Lofton had negative grades as a pass rusher, against the run, and in coverage (-12.2 vs run, -4.3 in pass coverage, -5.6 in pass rush). PFF rated Lofton the worst player on the Saints ENTIRE TEAM offense or defense, with a -21.5 grade. The only Saints starters with above the +6.0 grade of LT Armstead were Brees (+32.6), OLB Galette (+20.3) and RT Strief (+10.9)
  24. Keep in mind Graham only caught for 309 more yards than Jerricho Cotchery last year, and he is going from the #3 passing offense in New Orleans to the #27 passing offense in Seattle.
  25. Graham is 29 and on the decline. He wasn't worth the enormous cap hit he was costing the Saints. The OG Grubbs the Saints dealt was another guy not worth his cap hit. Saints replaced those two with: 1. Pro Bowl center that was key cog for one of the teams in Super Bowl on a cheap contract 2. Pro Bowl CB that was key cog for one of the teams in Super Bowl on a cheap contract 3. an extra 1st R pick 4. tons of extra cap space in 2016 to sign even more players It kinda sucks the Saints are making such smart moves, but they still need to do well in the draft and the rest of FA, both this year and next (ideally, they still need a #3 CB, a #4 CB, upgrades at all LB spots other than Galette, upgrades across the DL other than Cam Jordan, upgrade at OG, and another offensive weapon)
