  4. NFL.com Chris Trapasso @ ChrisTrapasso Phillip Dorsett mini scouting report Elite speed. Tho small not afraid to go over middle. Can make high-point catches. Willing blocker. T.Y. Hilton
  5. Mel Kiper has Dorsett going 1st Round, writing: "Dorsett is a Porsche in terms of acceleration and the ability to start fast and stop quickly. ... [he] can consistently create space with quickness ... He also can beat you deep if you let him to run in a straight line." http://caneswatch.blog.palmbeachpost.com/2015/02/11/phillip-dorsett-a-first-round-talent-mel-kiper-jr-says-yes/
  6. AP Sports writer Tim Reynolds @ ByTimReynolds 3h It's like everyone is surprised that Phillip Dorsett is for real. Uh, he is.
  7. Todd McShay on Miami's Pro Day today: "1. Phillip Dorsett could sneak into the first round Dorsett has been impressive throughout the draft process. It started out at the Senior Bowl in Mobile, Alabama...and continued today with excellent work in the drills. ... he really stood out in the passing drills." http://espn.go.com/nfl/draft2015/insider/story/_/id/12600561/evaluating-phillip-dorsett-denzel-perryman-others-miami-hurricanes-pro-day-2015-nfl-draft
  8. Ethan Hammerman @ Ethanhamm Feb 21 One note on Phillip Dorsett - multiple players at Senior Bowl told me he was helping them learn how to run routes . He's smart. #Patriots
  9. “I have the U of M record -- 4.21 last summer,” Dorsett said. That, folks, is super fast. Of course, the Hurricanes have a long history of producing talented wide receivers. You’ve probably heard of Reggie Wayne, Andre Johnson, Devin Hester, and Santana Moss -- all four are Miami products drafted since 2001. http://www.procanes.com/files/c1ae5152c2f3431607f86f20e6e8b4d0-18458.html
  10. Nat's World @ Validate_my_ego My sister does not play nice when it comes to # AprilFools
  11. NFL.com: "NFL Media analyst Mike Mayock said he thinks Dorsett is a "borderline"first-round guy and also said Dorsett is his favorite UM prospect in this draft." http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000482992/article/miamis-phillip-dorsett-runs-the-40-in-425-seconds
  12. hell, even going to the end of 2013 when Miami's coaching wet the bed, they had an influential Miami grad who had been a huge Miami fan from the 70's on national radio fuming about how Miami's coaching had hit an all-time low
  13. pretty much nationally known Miami's coaching was one of the worst of all time last year. I take it you don't agree?
  14. what did his Pro Day show that his film didn't?
  15. South Florida Sun-Sentinel Omar Kelly @ OmarKelly: 7h Welcome to UM's Pro Day. 77 degrees in sunny South Florida. 6h Phillip Dorsett is killing it. 5h Denzel Perryman, Phillip Dorsett and Clive Wafford all had dinner with the Saints last night. All three can help right away. 3h I fully expect Phillip Dorsett to be picked by the Saints or the Ravens in the first round. And he'll be a star for both teams. 8h Saints coach Sean Payton is here. Duke Johnson and Phillip Dorsett fit their offense perfectly. Saints need a TE (Clive Wafford). 3h [in response to: "You see Phillip Dorsett as the next Torrey Smith?"] That's exactly who he is, just not as big. 2h [in response to: "thought Dorsett was more of TY Hilton than Torrey Smith, no?""] that's like a red or a green apple. Both are apples right? 1h And for the record, I saw Mike Mayock, Todd McShay at UM's Pro Day today. Mel Kiper Jr's never on these streets.
  16. as for Smitty, he ran a 4.41 with a 38.5 vertical at the Combine at 5-09/184. No data from his Pro Day today Dorsett ran a 4.24 (4.33 at Combine) with a 38 vertical (37 at Combine) and was 5-10/185 at Combine
  17. meanwhile, with Strong for ex, pretty much everyone I've seen so far agrees he looks slower in pads than his 40 indicates. With Perriman, he's another guy people knew was fast in pads and would put up a great 40, but he only showed flashes of that kind of speed on film, so there are people questioning whether his 40 times were artificially inflated by a track coach, pointing out that his track form was perfect when he ran his 40. With Dorsett, everyone predicted he'd run insane 40 times by watching him in pads alone, so i doubt anyone will be questioning it, but i'll keep my eyes peeled...
  18. in pads / on film he is insanely fast. Based on watching him in pads / on film, everyone knew he would be running insane 40 times. Literally everyone predicted it by watching him in pads alone.
