  1. New England Sports Network Doug Kyed @ DougKyedNESN Apr 2 I looked at all of the potential first-round nose tackles to see who would fit the Patriots best. Check it out: ... "Grady Jarrett is this year’s best athlete among potential nose tackles, and he’s not just a workout warrior. He has incredible burst off the line of scrimmage and can completely overpower opposing offensive linemen using his speed and power. He mostly played one-technique nose tackle for Clemson and was extremely disruptive, often finding himself in the backfield. ... Clemson ranked fifth in the nation in run defense, allowing just 103.4 yards per game and 2.97 yards per rush, and that was thanks to Jarrett’s stout play in the middle of their defensive line." http://nesn.com/playlist/danny-shelton-among-top-nose-tackle-prospects-in-2015-nfl-draft/6/
  2. bigboarddraft.com Seth Murphy @ Sethmurphy4991 24h I moved Grady Jarrett into the first round today. Extremely disruptive
  3. CBS Sports Pete Prisco @ PriscoCBS Apr 7 Grady Jarrett is an interesting player from Clemson
  4. Alex Reno @ alex_reno 2h Leonard Williams 2nd among all DT prospects with a 14.3 run stop percentage. Grady Jarrett not far behind with 13.8%.
  5. big (6-1/304), strong (225 Lb. Bench Reps: 33) DT from Clemson with a 10 yard dash time of: 1.68 - Aldon Smith All-Pro 1.69 - Grady Jarrett <--------------- 1.70 - DeMarcus Ware All-Pro Jarrett's performance at Clemson: 2014: 12 QB pressures, 10 TFL, 73 tackles (1st Team All-ACC) 2013: 14 QB pressures, 11 TFL, 83 tackles 2012: 10 QB pressures, 8.5 TFL, 49 tackles Matt Miller: "One player moving way up the board is defensive tackle Grady Jarrett. When watching MLB Stephone Anthony, I couldn't get over how consistently clean his paths to the ball were. That's something you make a note of and check out later. When it was time to watch the defensive tackles, Jarrett stood out as the reason for all those clean paths to the football for the middle linebacker. He's able to eat blocks but has the quickness to penetrate and give chase. As a three-year starter at nose tackle, he's valuable to what the NFL wants as a 0 or 1-technique lineman." http://m.bleacherreport.com/articles/2410272-nfl-draft-2015-matt-.millers-latest-scouting-notebook
  6. — High-level sources with the San Francisco 49ers have told me the team is "in love" with wide receiver Amari Cooper from Alabama and will inquire as to trading up to draft him should he slip past the Oakland Raiders at No. 4 overall. — Four well-placed sources believe the No. 2 pick will be Marcus Mariota—what's up for debate is who will hold the pick. According to these same sources, the Titans will be shopping the pick. — One team that may be interested in a move up is the Cleveland Browns. I'm told by a source within Cleveland that they love quarterback Marcus Mariota and rank him higher than any quarterback from the 2014 draft class. My source expects the Browns to be players if the Titans shop the pick. http://m.bleacherreport.com/articles/2417922-nfl-draft-2015-matt-millers-updated-scouting-notebook
  7. Bleacher Report @ BleacherReport Apr 2 Insider Draft Buzz: 49ers trying to move up to select WR Amari Cooper
  8. Matt Miller @ nfldraftscout Apr 6 Jamison Crowder is Danny Amendola without the injuries. Pre-Draft Measureables: 5-10/183 - Danny Amendola 5-8/185 - Jamison Crowder 225 Lb. Bench Reps: 13 - Danny Amendola 10 - Jamison Crowder 20 Yrd Dash: 2.71 - Danny Amendola (2.67 at Pro Day) 2.71 - Jamison Crowder 10 Yrd Dash: 1.63 - Danny Amendola (1.56 at Pro Day) 1.70 - Jamison Crowder 20 Yrd Shuttle: 4.25 - Danny Amendola 4.32 - Jamison Crowder 3-Cone Drill: 6.81 - Danny Amendola 7.17 - Jamison Crowder (Crowder much better than Amendola in 40, vertical jump and broad jump) in the Super Bowl against the Legion of Boom, Amendola had 5 catches for 48 yards and a touchdown. In the playoffs vs the Ravens D, Amendola had 5 catches for 81 yards and 2 touchdowns. Just hours after slot receiver Wes Welker signed with the Broncos, the Patriots announced the signing of Amendola. Both Welker and Amendola came from Texas Tech, where they were both 3-time All-Big 12. Amendola's cap hit to Patriots: 2013: $3.6 million 2014: $4.7 million 2015: $3.1 million
  9. Former #7 overall pick WR Curtis Conway of Southern Cal (who caught for over 8,000 yards in the NFL): NFL.com: Conway said Dorsett would be a strong fit for the Colts. With Luck's powerful arm, Conway sees two vertical threats causing major problems for Colts opponents. "You talk about a good fit with with T.Y. (Hilton), can you imagine? Both of these speed demons out there on an island? You can't put a safety in the box to cover the run game, which means that will open up your run game," Conway said. "You get a Phillip Dorsett out there man to man, you're not gong to have a safety in the box. ... I see Phillip Dorsett being a really good piece for that offense." http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000477115/article/three-wrs-colts-should-target-in-draft-to-replace-reggie-wayne
  10. http://alendumonjic.com/2015/04/06/2015-nfl-draft-studying-the-class-of-wide-receivers/ interesting breakdown of WR prospects that concludes: -Kevin White - "Reminiscent of a young Kenny Britt at Rutgers." -Amari Cooper - "is reminiscent of Houston Texans wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins when Hopkins was at Clemson." -DeVante Parker - "Similar to the New England Patriots’ Brandon LaFell" -Jaelen Strong - "The same style of receiver as New York Giants’ Rueben Randle." -Breshad Perriman - "has the potential to be a solid starting wide receiver in the NFL." -Dorial Green-Beckham - "A project." -Devin Smith - "A wildcard in the draft" -Phillip Dorsett - "Most closely resembles Arizona Cardinals wide receiver John Brown." as a rookie last year, John Brown beat out Ted Ginn and was very productive with horrible QB play. Cardinals' Top 7 receiving yard leaders last year: 841 yds, 6 TDs - WR Michael Floyd 784 yds, 2 TDs - WR Larry Fitzgerald 696 yds, 5 TDs - WR John Brown 395 yds, 2 TDs - RB Andre Ellington 350 yds, 1 TD - TE John Carlson 229 yds, 2 TDs - WR Jaron Brown 190 yds, 0 TD - WR Ted Ginn
  11. Not Richard Sherman @ crabtreesucks Lmao Crabtree is the worst.
  12. Barksdale could possibly be a solid LT so he and agent are likely looking to get paid: Pro Football Focus rated Barksdale: 2012 - played sparingly for Rams 2013 - #8 RT 2014 - #25 RT (but the 15th best pass blocking grade) people are also surprised C Stefen Wisniewski is still unemployed: Pro Football Focus ranked Wisniewski: #17 C - 2012 #11 C - 2013 #22 C - 2014 ESPN: "Wisniewski isn’t an elite center, but he wants to be paid much more than the $938,000 he made in base salary in 2014. ... 17 centers in the league make at least an average of $3 million or more, and Wisniewski is likely seeking a deal in that same neighborhood or possibly higher." http://espn.go.com/blog/nflnation/post/_/id/161004/future-of-stefen-wisniewski-among-raiders-offseason-questions?src=mobile
  13. KB had a lot of risk too. KB failed two years of school and got held back twice which is why he was so much older than his fellow peers in college. Also KB had plenty of other character and work ethic concerns both in high school and college (so did Randy Moss. Heck, Calvin Johnson tested positive for weed at the Combine). But both Proehl then Gettleman sat down with KB one on one for a few hours and felt comfortable with him (plus we have a whole staff doing background checks and character research). No telling what they ultimately decide on DGB.
  14. Chris Kouffman @ ckparrot Mar 31 The contract Miami offered Crabtree was $2.5 mil for one year, incentives that could get it to $3.5 mil. Crabtree wasn't happy with that.
  15. a couple days ago, Mel Kiper named Dorsett to his list of the 10 safest picks in 2015 NFL draft The only other receiver to make the list was Amari Cooper. Kiper wrote that Dorsett will be gone in the Top 35 (by the 3rd pick of the 2nd R) and that: "while Dorsett is the guy with the speed to simply blow away cornerbacks who don't have plus-plus recovery speed, he also has the quickness to win in the slot and do major damage against zone coverages. ... He's safe because he's so much more than a sprinter out there, and he's going to be a handful to cover wherever he is lined up." http://insider.espn.go.com/nfl/draft2015/story/_/id/12586255/leonard-williams-10-safest-picks-2015-nfl-draft

  17. nice find, will have to remember to check those weekly updates. "Phillip Dorsett, WR, Miami I've generally been mock drafting Dorsett in the middle of the second round, but in speaking with sources, that is too low. Sources from multiple teams say they don't believe Dorsett will fall that far, and they think that he will be a late first-round or very early second-round pick. ... there are a lot [of teams] that are targeting him early in the 2015 NFL Draft."
  18. note how similar these two are: Yards Per Reception 28.21 - #1 in NCAA - Devin Smith 24.19 - #2 in NCAA - Phillip Dorsett TDs Per Reception 12 TD on 33 receptions (TD every 2.8 catches) - Devin Smith 10 TD on 36 receptions (TD every 3.6 catches) - Phillip Dorsett
  19. ^he was actually there at Miami's Pro Day today
  20. David Newton today: "Phillip Dorsett could be an option if the Carolina Panthers opt to use the No. 25 pick of the April 30 NFL draft on a speedy wide receiver. ... Dorsett has been projected as a late first-round to second-round pick. The Panthers are looking for a dynamic speed receiver to play opposite Kelvin Benjamin"
  21. Charlotte Observer Jonathan Jones @ jjones9 9h OK Phillip Dorsett . You don't have to convince me any more
  22. Tony Pauline: "The day belonged to receiver Phillip Dorsett. ... Dorsett blistered in the 40 ... Afterward, Dorsett was nothing short of sensational during position drills. He ran crisp routes, caught everything thrown in his direction and most importantly, practiced to his 40 time. People who've been attending Hurricane pro days for more than a decade told me Dorsett's performance today was the best they've ever witnessed at a Miami pro day. Yesterday I reported Dorsett had dinner with the New Orleans Saints. Today I can tell you they are bringing the speedy wideout in for a visit. I can also inform that head coach Sean Payton and Jeff Ireland were on the sidelines gushing over Dorsett and talked about what a great fit the receiver would be for their offense." http://walterfootball.com/proday.php
  23. Draft expert Tony Paulinev@ TonyPauline 4h Dorsett?? He's a top 45 pick.
