wait until the draft ends. If we don't draft a WR i will go nuts with you. But we will, probably a very good prospect too. This draft is loaded with WRs

Packers would have been another good spot for Shaq. Packers wanted to add a playmaker on D, and the best available was Damarious Randall, who they took even though they already took Ha Ha Clinton-Dix at #21 last year their GM says: "I don't know how that will work, but..it doesn't matter. He's still going to be on the field a lot of the time."

forgot about the Cowboys. A bunch of mocks had them taking Shaq

Shaq's not a reach, but it's fair to say he's a luxury pick. They are saying the same thing about the Saints taking Peat and the Colts taking Dorsett. All luxury picks on the surface. But look at 1-2 years down the road. We very might not have TD (old) and/or Harper (old). Saints very might not have RT Strief (old). Colts very might not have Andre Johnson (old) or Hilton (will be FA soon). GMs do what is best for the team in the big picture, not to please short-sighted fans and pundits craving instant gratification. Also, I doubt Shaq would have made it past the Saints at 31. Shaq would have been a great weakside inside LB for Rob Ryan to scheme around with. Saints screwed us by taking Peat. We screwed them back by taking Shaq from PFF: 31. New Orleans Saints - Stephone Anthony, LB, Clemson This isn’t widely regarded as a great linebacker class, but we do like the Saints picking up Anthony here, especially given the fact Shaq Thompson went higher than him.

our defense is a nickel D. Two LBs, two safeties, three CBs. Roman Harper acts as the "3rd LB," giving us 3 guys in the box (Luke, TD, Harper), backed up by 4 DBs (1 FS, 3 CBs) "a majority of the season, the Panthers decided to work out of the nickel formation which meant the defense only had two linebackers on the field (Kuechly and Davis)" http://car.scout.com/story/1504152-panthers-final-report-card-linebackers look at the snap counts for our players on D, you will see the same thing http://www.footballoutsiders.com/stats/snapcounts also, their was an article where one of our LBs other than Luke and TD was saying how he never gets to see the field because we only use 2 LBs. I searched for it but can't find it atm

Shaq makes us better by giving us an upgrade to 32-year-old Roman Harper (turns 33 in Dec), who we are cutting (or asking him to restructure) after this 2015 season because his cap hit jumps to $4,660,000 in 2016 (it was $1,518,750 last year and will be $1,800,000 this year...and we already paid off his $1,500,000 guaranteed)

a reach on some of the boards you read, but had you read the Panthers' board you would have saw he was BPA Gettleman doesn't believe in reaching. As he says: "if you reach, more often than not you're going to get burned. It doesn't work." http://www.panthers.com/news/article-2/Gettlemans-path-to-the-draft/9c2219d7-9743-42eb-8dc1-6f8be10b33c7

only ones of those that didn't go in 1st R were: Landon Collins - because he was vastly overrated. Crazy anybody had him 1st R La'el Collins - murder investigation Randy Gregory - chronic pot smoker Devin Smith - projected 2nd R Benardrick McKinney - projected 2nd R Jaelen Strong - projected 2nd R before combine, rose to 1st after combine, fell back to 2nd in recent weeks -

???? Compare the Combines: Shaq (6-0/228), TD (6-1/230), and Landon Collins (6-0/228) were the same size. Shaq's 3-cone (measures the athletic ability needed for pass coverage) is Top 30% in the NFL and his short shuttle (sideline-to-sideline speed) is Top 10% in the NFL. TD's 3-cone was just behind Shaq's (Shaq 6.99, TD 7.09 - both elite) and TD's short shuttle was better than Shaq's (TD 3.97, Shaq 4.08) Landon Collins is the opposite of those two : horrific 3 cone (bottom 5% in NFL) and terrible short shuttle (bottom 17% in NFL) Whether you or anybody believed that TD was poor in pass coverage in college is irrelevant, because he is great at it now, just like Shaq. Hence the comparisons Landon Collins is the opposite of those two : poor in pass coverage and doesn't have the athleticism to ever get any better As for instincts against the run: PFF rates Shaq with a 7.3 run-stop percentage PFF rates Thomas Davis 3rd-worst OLB in the NFL (#35 of 37 OLBs) with a 3.7 run-stop percentage https://www.profootballfocus.com/blog/2014/04/24/sig-stats-run-stop-percentage-lbs/
