NFL.com Chris Trapasso @ ChrisTrapasso Feb 19 Really like how Daryl Williams "attacks" DLs w/o lunging/ getting off balance as pass protector. Should instantly be bull in run game in NFL. draftbreakdown.com Joe Marino @ TheJoeMarino Feb 18 Daryl Williams , OT, Oklahoma: 6'5'', 327 pounds, 35" arms, and 9 3/4" hands. Stud football player. Checking boxes so far. NEpatriotsdraft.com Mike Loyko @ NEPD_Loyko Feb 15 #OU OT Daryl Williams might be the most underrated OL in the draft. Plug him in at Right Tackle and let him roadgrade. CBS Sports Dane Brugler@ dpbrugler Dec 1 Two strong run blocking RTs Rob Havenstein and Daryl Williams both will be in Mobile. A pair of mean maulers who block out the sun -

Scout.com: "After first appearing in nine games as a reserve tackle during his true freshman season in 2011, Williams started the first ten games on the 2012 schedule before missing three contests with a knee injury. He lined up at right tackle for the first 12 games on the 2013 schedule before moving to left tackle for the Sugar Bowl clash vs. Alabama. He earned second-team All-Big Twelve Conference honors after posting 60 knockdowns and nine touchdown-resulting blocks as a junior. In 2014, Williams remained at right tackle all season, as the All-Big Twelve first-team choice and squad captain collected 91 knockdowns and led the way on 11 touchdown-resulting runs." http://recruiting.scout.com/story/1518385-deep-draft-analysis-offensive-linemen#/story/1518385-deep-draft-analysis-offensive-linemen -

NFL.com: "An NFC scout said Oklahoma right tackle Daryl Williams reminds him of former Sooner and Minnesota Vikings 2009 second-round pick (#54 overall) Phil Loadholt. "(Williams) is more agile and lighter on his feet, but his punch and force is similar to (Loadholt's)," the scout said. The comparison fits. Williams can be a dominant run blocker and has really stepped up as a leader for the Oklahoma offensive line" http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000407596/article/sources-tell-us-what-were-hearing-about-top-nfl-prospects On January 14, 2014, ProFootballFocus.com recognized Loadholt as one of their highest-rated offensive tackles in the NFL, stating, "Stud: Right tackle Phil Loadholt (+25.0) earned All-Pro honors in our eyes. He didn’t get the press he garnered last year as the team struggled but he remains the prototypical right tackle." https://www.profootballfocus.com/blog/2014/01/13/2013-offensive-line-rankings/4/ Both wore #79 at Oklahoma. 2015 Top 5 Tackles based on Win/Neutral % 1) Andrus Peat 2) Daryl Williams 3) Cedric Ogbuehi 4) Jake Fisher 5) Ereck Flowers 6) La'el Collins 7) TJ Clemmings 8) DJ Humphries https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1fFPR3VDrC_F0V7nupkpCiOj8HstR2D40fen625a_ehI/edit?usp=sharing&pli=1 methodology: "This website is devoted to charting NFL Draft offensive lineman prospects collegiate games...looking at whether they win or if they lose the snap. There is no emphasis on how they get the job done, as long as they do get it done. A player could have terrible form but seal the block, and that will count as a win. Likewise, a player could have perfect form and allow a sack, qualifying as a loss. A play will be counted as neutral if the player’s block had no impact on the outcome of the play i.e. quick screen." https://offensivelinecharting.wordpress.com/ -

from an article on Williams a year ago, before the 2014 season began: “Daryl truly has been remarkable as he stepped forward in the winter, spring and summer,” Oklahoma coach Bob Stoops said. “He’s been one of the best leaders I’ve been around in 16 years. He’s always been a bright, great worker, great teammate, but now he’s taken ownership of being a leader.” ... quarterback Trevor Knight said: “He was watching extra film every single day, on top of what we already had to do,” Knight said. “He was coming out early for practice, staying late for practice, really doing all the little things right. And it paid off for him.” ... defensive tackle Chuka Ndulue said: “I believe in my soul that Daryl is the best right tackle in the nation,” Ndulue said. “Going against him in practice every day makes me better as a player, because if I can hold my own against him I can hold my own against anyone in the country.” http://www.dentonrc.com/sports/colleges/colleges-headlines/20140723-football-williams-grows-into-leader-at-ou.ece -

Pro Football Focus: Pass blocking efficiency is a pure stat that simply measures how often a blocker allows pressure, but it doesn’t differentiate between how quickly it got there or how bad the block actually was https://www.profootballfocus.com/blog/2015/04/13/cff-sig-stats-offensive-tackles/ -
