  1. NFL.com Jeff Darlington @ JeffDarlington 15m Miami makes move. "Less than 24 hours after La'el Collins met with Buffalo Bills head coach Rex Ryan, Collins will now meet with a group representing the Miami Dolphins. In addition to head coach Joe Philbin, the Dolphins are sending Collins' former LSU teammates Jarvis Landry, Anthony Johnson and Kelvin Sheppard to meet with the former Tiger standout left tackle Landry and Johnson were also headliners, along with Collins, in LSU's signing class of 2011. Landry and Johnson departed LSU for the NFL a year early in 2014." http://m.fox8live.com/wvuefox8/pm_/contentdetail.htm?contentguid=od:suo657NI
  2. Chad Sabadie @ ChadSabadie 34m Source: La'el Collins continues NFL visits today with Dolphins. Coach Joe Philbin and former #LSU teammates to meet Collins in Baton Rouge
  3. Dolphins and former LSU linebacker Kelvin Sheppard is publicly campaigning for his club to sign LSU offensive tackle La'el Collins http://lsu.247sports.com/Bolt/LB-Kelvin-Sheppard-wants-his-Dolphins-to-sign-Lael-Collins-37111291
  4. Ian Rapoport @ RapSheet 21h If he’s cleared, La’El Collins’ free agency will be unprecedented. The money is capped, so it’s almost no factor. All about fit, role, etc
  5. Rand Getlin @ Rand_Getlin 27s Winston has reached out to Collins multiple times in the last 24 hours selling the idea of playing together. #Bucs could certainly use him.
  6. Rand Getlin @ Rand_Getlin 2m Who's recruiting La'el Collins most aggressively? #Bucs QB Jameis Winston is right up there. Pushing hard for Collins to come to Tampa Bay.
  7. ESPN beat reporter for the Bills: Mike Rodak @ mikerodak 2h As I said last night, it remains unlikely -- despite Rex's dinner -- that the Bills sign La'el Collins. Mike Rodak @ mikerodak 13h Rex might be having dinner with La’el Collins tonight, but I wouldn’t expect the Bills to land him.
  8. Sports Illustrated Chris Burke @ ChrisBurke_SI 15m Still surprised no team used a late-rounder on La'el Collins . "We'll let the legal process play out, but we trust that he is not a suspect."
  9. sounds like the Redskins (who took Scherff #5 overall) aren't interested in Collins: ESPN beat reporter for Redskins John Keim @ john_keim 11m For those wanting the Redskins to pursue OL La'el Collins , don't hold your breath. Was told it's not going to happen.
  10. Here's something else to consider: some teams see La'el as a guard-only. Some see him as a RT-only. La'el wants to play left tackle: "Left tackle is definitely where I want to play in the NFL." http://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/draft/2015/02/09/lael-collins-lsu-draft-diary/23125133/ So the teams that view La'el as a LT are going to have priority. Are we even one of those teams? Or do we see him as a RT or an OG? The good news is that the team closest to his home (the Saints), have him as a guard-only. In the press conference with Sean Payton after the draft, they were asking him a bunch of questions about Peat and Collins. Payton said they had Peat graded higher than Collins, that teams are split on whether he's an OG or an OT, and that the Saints are only looking at him as an OG. But again, are we one of those teams that see him as a LT? The teams that do will have priority
  11. I can't see anyone signing him before he is 100% cleared. They'd look like dumbasses if they signed him and then he gets charged for murder.
  12. Baton Rouge Advocate: La'el Collins "has heard from 'almost every' NFL team... Collins, now an undrafted free agent, had meetings scheduled with officials from the Buffalo Bills and Miami Dolphins for Monday night and Tuesday morning, a source close to Collins told The Advocate. Collins has received interest from “almost every” NFL team over the past few days and will likely meet with several teams over the next few days, the source said" http://theadvocate.com/news/12279868-125/ex-lsu-star-lael-collins-meets
  13. TMZ: "Sources close to the investigation tell us ... Collins said he has witnesses and phone records that prove he was nowhere close to Brittney Mills on the night she was gunned down. ... Collins told investigators he was an hour away in New Orleans at the time of the shooting -- as part of an overnight trip with friends and family to watch the New Orleans Pelicans take on the Golden State Warriors on Saturday April 25th. We're told Collins also claims he has texts and emails proving the group had planned the trip several days before the killing ... and he believes GPS records on his cell phone will back up his story. Forbthe record, Collins has NOT been named a suspect in the murder" http://m.tmz.com/2015/05/05/lael-collins-alibi-in-double-murder-case/
  14. Miami is meeting with him later today: Miami Herald: "Collins will meet with the Dolphins on Tuesday" http://miamiherald.typepad.com/sports-buzz/2015/05/dolphin-lobbies-for-fins-to-sign-collins-dolphins-to-audition-five-star-rb-more-fins-draft-postscrip.html Miami Herald Armando Salguero @ ArmandoSalguero 5h Dolphins have several former LSU players on their roster and that will undoubtedly come up when team meets with La'el Collins .
  15. Was their a gentleman's agreement between the 32 teams not to go after La'el until he was cleared? Adam Schefter @ AdamSchefter 7h Bills HC Rex Ryan passed through Baton Rouge, La., tonight and had an unsanctioned meeting with LSU OL La'el Collins Ian Rapoport @ RapSheet 7h Rex Ryan is having dinner with La’El Collins now, an unsanctioned meeting Mike Rodak @ mikerodak 7h Rex Ryan was in the Baton Rouge area, called and asked if he could meet La'el Collins . Did not clear it through his agents. Albert Breer @ AlbertBreer 7h As if this La'el Collins situation had gotten weird enough, now he and Rex Ryan appear to have gone rogue for dinner. #unsanctioned Kevin Vaughan @ writerkev 6h La'el Collins leaves a meeting at a Baton Rouge restaurant with Buffalo #Bills coach Rex Ryan. pic:
  16. Ian Rapoport @ RapSheet 13h To answer the questions on #LSU OL La’El Collins that are filling up my mentions. If he’s completely cleared, yes, your team is interested.
  17. FirstRoundGrade.com: July 2014 "The reported 4.30 40-yard dash for Damiere Byrd is exciting and a nugget that has put him squarely on our scouting radar for the upcoming season. While he’s generally regarded as a late-Day 3 guy right now, a big 2014 season (combined with the reported speed) will change that in a hurry. Byrd started 10 games last year and totaled 575 yards on 33 receptions (with 4 TDs) ... He’s not a big guy,..but speed is an asset that is always in demand in the NFL. He’s a name to file away as we get ready to start a new year." (the website never mentioned him again after that) http://firstroundgrade.com/2014/07/13/south-carolina-wide-receiver-damiere-byrd-can-fly/
  18. MsC @ Ecure77 South Carolina Aug 22 Gamecock Damiere Byrd caught 33 passes for 573 yards & 4 TD's last season. Can't wait for this season!
  19. Give Cam a dominant OL. As soon as DAL completed that dominant OL a year ago, it made Romo an All-Pro QB (and made DeMarco Murray an All-Pro RB at the same time)
  20. Heath Cline @ heathradio Jul 24 SC RB coach Everette Sands just told us David Williams is the second fastest player on the team with a 4.34 40. Only Damiere Byrd 's faster.
  21. James Starks @ JamesStarksKPRC Aug 1 WR Damiere Byrd reacting to a "South Jersey" chant.
  22. Alyssa Lang WLTX @ AlyssaLang Aug 28 Yikes. Aggies' Elliot Pope pulls in the TD and mimics Damiere Byrd 's bird hand-motion from Byrd 's TD a few mins ago. He went there Jeff Svoboda @ JeffSvoboda Aug 28 What if Damiere Byrd was actually a bird? Pete Scantlebury @ PeteScantlebury Aug 28 Damiere Byrd makes a bird signal to the crowd when he scores. No flag. Markus Golden places the ball down and points at the crowd. Flag.
  23. Willie Smith @ willie_t_smith Sep 13 We have a Damiere Byrd sighing. Catching a 22-yard pass at the UGA 38. #Gamecocks
  24. GC Game Updates @ GCgameday Sep 13 Cooper stays in as Damiere Byrd takes the speed sweep and picks up 14 yards.
