  1. I have to say, his food analogy explaining the wisdom of having 2 mediocre QBs is just not good. If I don't trust the food at a place, then I should order two dishes. Hoping what? That miraculously one doesn't suck?
  2. I'm seeing 11 pages. Maybe one day I will read them all. I bet people who were here and pushing for Will Grier to start his first season, are pushing to throw Corral out there. Unless that kid absolutely tears it up and you are sure there is no more holding him back, you protect him. Period. WTF does this season really matter if you could get a career from a guy that you think is a top talent, by training him for the NFL gamer for a season? Bulking him up, building his confidence (or maybe with him not destroying it). As far as Rhule, I was not in favor of him being the guy, but at the same time he wasn't coming into the same situation that a normal new HC comes into. Contact was extremely limited, rosters and lineups were in turmoil/flux constantly and the guy just did not have good circumstances for Season 1 with a new team and all that entails. And the players on the other side of the coin, it wasn't helpful to them at all. They convinced me though when they traded for Darnold and dead capped that Teddy money for what? Marginal at best improvement? Compounded mightily by the 5th year option.
  3. Ekwuno plays like he uses Tiger Balm in his jock. We need more of that and kudus to the GM for making toughness and attitude more of a factor.
  4. Yeah if I remember right Gross played RT his first year. (?) At QB, let the kid sit. The Oline will take time to develop, we have a new OC, I don't think we should be in a big hurry to play him. It doesn't sound like they are. Obviously if he is next level better than Darnold in camp, that changes. Once it is clear... players know who should be playing, you can't sit that guy for long.
  5. They made the quarterbacks we have a lot better by fixing this OL. I always felt it was much better to have your team strong when you get a good young QB and that is some of why these teams that take them later in the 1st seem to have success with them. As the better teams are normally drafting late.
  6. Not a single RB, I am opposed to taking them high. No matter how good they were in college. I didn't mind DW as much because he was so late in the round. Star, yep. Turned out to be the only one of Gman's 1sts that I really liked. Gross. Otah. Similar to this year, that is what we have needed for years. TD for sure because Michael Vick had been killing us. Pep Completely happy. I believe in building teams front to back. TD the only big guy to make this list. I should have been excited about Cam, but there were a lot of red flags. And there was no suspense, I knew we had him for weeks as I recall. Kind of like Pep that way, the difference is Pep was a lineman. My favorites.
  7. I see improving the roster, especially the OL, as a better plan than giving up all kinds of stuff for someone that isn't That much better than Darnold could be with that kind of help. And I don't understand the We Have To Win This Year mentality. I don't see the point of a 9-8 season myself. I'd rather be rid of Rhule, rid of Darnold, with a nice high pick in 2023. 2-15 would be alright with me to be honest.
  8. Haven't spent a ton of time looking at scenarios but doesn't it seem like if we somehow influence NYG to keep their #5 that our 6 pick becomes the slot people want to trade into? If they have an idea to trade #5 but think we might swoop in and get their guy at #6 one slot before them.... I wish Gettleman was still in NY because playing watching tlay t would be fun.
  9. I think Tepper is going to buy Rock Hill and tear it down and build Tepper City.
  10. Could ease the pressure to draft a Qb at 6 which I would view as a positive. Why should anyone want whoever chose (and paid) the last two Qbs to choose another?
  11. Isn't drafting a QB sort of an insurance policy against win now expectations? No one expects a 5-12 team to start a rookie draft pick to win now.
  12. Trading for picks, when you can't draft worth a crap.... good plan.
