  1. look mm. shaq's best at coverage. he'll allow Luke and TD to NOT have to do so much in-coverage plays and allow them to dominate the line. How does that not compute for you?
  2. straight trolling. we run a 4-3, who's starting over a guy that grades out top15% NFL in all combine numbers that are relevant to both LB and SS positions. Not draft class, All NFL players at his positions of relevance.
  3. Shaq at WLB vs TE/slant receiver Or in the backfield in zone schemes where he can play centerfield and go ball-hawking.
  4. I feel, with coaching and strength/conditioning, Shaq will become better at shedding blocks in the run game. Til then, we need TD or Luke on the ball carrier, maybe both...and a tweener to take one of their places in mid-field/seam coverage so that Luke and TD are free to take on blocks and pressure. The hope is that when TD hangs 'em up, Shaq will be seasoned and conditiones to take his place.
  5. If TD and Luke get out in coverage because we dont have the personnel to cover, that opens up the running game for the offense. You put Shaq in coverage and let Luke or TD cover the backs. Problem solved.
  6. We got reamed in the running game last season and our tackling from our DBs was beyond atrocious. let Luke and TD dominate up front and let Shaq do what he does best, which is a sideline to sideline, out route, mid-field and seam cover guy that tracks balls in the air, deflecting and intercepting passes. Thats Shaq 'nough said.
  7. Shaq aint a backup. He's already our most athletic WLB and his coverage skills and ball hawking ability will put peanut to the test.
  8. Still waiting to see why anyone thinks he is lacking in instincts when he forces 4 fumbles and had 2 ints while setting the NCAA record for defensive touchdowns in a season. Just relax man, Shaq js a ballhawk and ballhawks only instincts are to get after the ball, wherever the ball may be.
  9. Shaq often got locked up by second level linemen as an OLB, but looking at Carolinas Front 6, how many OL are gonna make it to that second level while being 1vs1 against one of the NFLs elite defensive line, DPOY Kuechly and Thomas Davis both hitting gaps and taking on loose OL. Shaq, in Carolina, is the perfect centerfielder from line of scrimmage to dropping back in coverage as a ball hawking tweener in a zone of need for the Panthers already stout defense.
  10. Would start day-1 at either safety or OLB. And who knows, he could be a four-way player. Special teams ace, OLB, SS and RB. I mean, why not? He is a special-teams ace and gets a glowing review from Mr. NFL Man of the Year. Shaq must have worked out while TD was present...and Shaq says the Panthers have shown the most notice. Hard to say if first-round is a reach, when that was the same round Davis was drafted in Shaq just showed slow in the 40. The rest of his drills, the guy was off the charts in speed and fluidity.
  11. Looks like our fanbase has zero confidence in Peanut and co.
  12. Dorsett reminds me more of Crabtree or Ginn for some reason. A couple things here...we already have Ginn and also have Corey Brown. We need a true #2 and honestly, Im still not sold as KB being a true #1.
  13. Charles Davis just compared Kevin White to Brandon Lafell, Larry Fitzgerald, Calvin Johnson and OBJ? One of these is not like the others...Lafell? Wat? How does Lafell compare to any of those players? CD is certafiably considered nuthouse
  14. Tge Kraken is probably the last person on the planet besides Spyder Silva that I would ever want to get in any type of aggressive action against.
  15. anyone else think Todd Gurley reminds them of Darren McFadden?
  16. This draft is about as mediocre of a draft as one can be. Just hoping we can find a couple starters and the most athletic football gym junkies that are out there at our pick. The good thing is yhat next year we have more wiggle room under the cap and we can lock up our strongest core for a little while and maybe even bring in a coveted FA or two if we want or need to.
  17. He was one of my favorite players to watch...ever. Him, LT, Lott, Peppers, Barry Sanders and Smitty. Thats a 50/50 crazy/sound ratio. It wouldnt surprise me if the entirety of athletes employed by the NFL is pretty close to being represented by that small sample size.
  18. I pied you because its the truth. I so believe in second chances and Lord knows Im not perfect. It just really hits the feels 'cause this guy's talent is exactly what this team needs. Just have to hope the term Good Guys finish last is replaces with divine grace for moral fiber...speaking about the Panther's Franchise and life as we know it in general.
  19. The bed full of semi-automatic arms is another vision in the long line of images stuck in my head that I will never be able to delete...try as I may. Dude's certified and it hurts my feels...Been following that strange entity of creation since he was a freshman in college and belongs in that strange black hole of nature's oddities that somehow found their way to America's Team??wat?!?!?...called the Dallas Cowboys. Thats the only rational I can find to make sense of this strange world we live in...well, that and the Oakland Raiders and their Raider Nation headed by a GM whose brain has been uploaded to the closest thing in this world to a self-aware computer.
  20. Would love to get Nicks for a couple years to replace Cotchery. Man, i hope beyond hope that Stephen Hill is really ready to produce like the staff have been suggesting. That would mean so much for this team.
  21. Seriously, Im not sure I can get over the pushing someone down the stairs thing, but DGB may be our one shot at landing a true #1 that could supplant KB into what I believe will be his natural and most productive position as a monster possession receiver, automatic red zone go-to man and road grater for the rushing attack. That is the true first round draft pick that could make our offensive attack be able to score at will. It would be the perfect timing and the perfect weaponry with a peaking defense and a just good enough line to give us a true shot to win in a shootout. ...and the pipe dream drifts away just like Dwayne Jarrett, except DJ actually made it on our roster and I know DGB wont. sigh
  22. C-A-N-N-O-T...A-F-F-O-R-D does not compute does not compute
  23. we need to sue meck-county to make up for his 13-mil paycheck. The NFL tried and failed, but they had no damages incurred. Oh we mayne...we got incurred.
