  1. Freakin' Looooove our QB. What a baller! We got the best athlete in the league as our team captain and top playmaker.
  2. Gonna be big players in FA over the next couple of seasons...depending upon JNo's contract. We'll save so much $$ cutting Stew and CJ and restructuring Kalil.
  3. So sick of JStew and his injuries, Fooooooioozyyyyyy!!! Fuuuuuuunchips!!!! This will be Stews last year here. We got CAP and The Foz.
  4. odds that CJ gets a June 1st cut at the end of the year? 50/50 split with me. He's still young but he just can't hold up anymore. Hoping he's not washed up, but those hamstring injuries can longer for years.
  5. Cam is going to need to be able to connect with receivers, early in the game, to loosen up their defense. I expect a good mix of no-huddle and wideout screen-passes early in the game just so Cam can get in a rhythm allowing our run game to open up. If we're successful with this early, we can do some serious damage while controlling the clock with our play-action and read-option rushing attack.
  6. If Carolina loses this game, heads are gonna roll and I'm gonna puke my guts out. Dang man...glad you're working and hope you're getting paid good, but I'm gonna miss your contributions here...hopefully somebody else will step up. I would, but all I have access to right now is my cell phone and just don't have the resources to lay it out here. So my apologies to you and the rest of the Huddle. What say you Huddle?
  7. KB...You're the freakin' man, dude. I'm serious. Really appreciative of what you bring to The Huddle and can't thank you enough for your info and knowledge you provide. We're very like-minded in many ways about the game of football and your analytical way of using stats to predict match-ups is second to none as far as I'm concerned. We're kindred Panther/football fans and I'm full of gratitude for your efforts, observations and optimism. Great stuff bro! If you don't get lots of positive reinforcement from the rest of the Huddle, I'm happy to oblige. I officially put you on a permanent 5-star respectability level on the Huddle with no need for any type of petition. Jam-on my brother! I got a free bar-tab in your honor if we ever run in to one another some day. God put some good stuff in that mind of yours and you should be gettin' paid for your time doing what you do. Thanks again and keep pounding!
  8. 9 fumbles and 10 sacks allowed by Jacksonville. That speaks volumes about their rushing attacks/OL. The Panthers are one of the better defensive takeaways in the league as far as accumulating forced fumbles and ints, their rookie running back is simply that...a rookie running back and they'll be facing the best coverage/sideline to sideline LB corp in the league..."where are they going?...they're going nowhere!" Now we have the Tilman punch and Bene/Norman who have been under the tutledge of peanut and Cason for a full year and preseason of learning the mastery of that aspect of ball attacking. I fully expect a score and 3+ turnovers caused by our defense. One fumble recovery from their rookie, A fumble/sack of Bortles and one interception by either our LBs or secondary. Wouldnt be surprised to see a score out of our defense as we control the TOP and keep them with poor starting field-position with their backs against the goal line where pressures cause their young QB to make mistakes.
  9. They're (Jags,) gonna aim to stop the run and make us beat them with the pass. They will have trouble containing Cam and will be succeptible to passes downfield and have no answer for Olsen. Panthers 27 Jags 6 Our defense smothers their offense and causes troubles for the young Bortles and their anemic offense.
  10. The Jags are hot-garbage and I'm really upset with myself for wasting time reading this hot-garbage thread. Fug the Jags and their fans. We have the best LB core and the most exciting QB in the NFL. Jags are out ugly red-headed step-sister that we came into the league with and nothing more.
  11. We should win against the Eagles and. The Colts. Green Bay and Dallas are toss-ups. I feel we are due for a win against the 'Hawks and honestly, if our team stays healthy, we could sweep the division. i feel that the success of this team depends totally on our newest additions and only KB's has us looking any worse off than we were last season...and I think we under-achieved last year because of injuries. no NFC south team looks any better than they were last season. Our line is so much better than last season and as long as CJ, Bene and Peanut can hold-up from start to finish, our defense will win many-a-game for us. This season's roster looks like it could be closer to 2013's team rather than last year's team.
  12. I look at him as a taller antawn Jamison. He's gonna be solid, maybe not a perennial all-star, but definitely could be starting from game 1.
  13. Frank seems to have a mean-streak and a no-holds-barred personality. Could be a cold-blooded unconsciionable killer. He looks like he's ready to go get his...Zeller and big Al are perfect compliments. Now, if only MKG can somehow become a dead-eye shooter (we see so many vets become better shooters as they age,) and Lance and Hairston can get over the weak parts of their games, this team looks a lot more like a playoff contender. Frank is kinda strange but he will never be confused as being "a nice guy." And we really need some grit on this team. I'm ok with the pick, I mean, at Justicd Winslow's best...his ceiling could also be really close to being like Lance.
  14. Running Backs Stewart CAP Fozzy Reaves Full Backs Tolbert Brockel Williams Brockell could be the odd man out.
  15. I'm partial to Cam over RW. Just like what he brings and his demeanor is a huge part of how our team plays. Don't really like RW and don't know if he could hold up as well as Cam has, considering out OL. Plus, look at that Seattle defense...that's their real strength. I'm not even willing to cal RW a franchise QB, just don't think he can carry his team on his back. I feel Lynch is more valuable to them when you boil it down.
  16. Well, we had TD and Beason, so Luke was kind of a luxury pick. But again, we had CJ and Hardy. If Hardy had kept out of trouble, we wouldn't be having this conversation at all. Come on Kony, let's see what you've got!
  17. Luck may have pulled an Eli Manning and held out another year of we were picking first...that's basically what he did ng staying in college another season. I don't want anyone who doesn't want to be here. Plus, we had Hardy and CJ.
  18. I hate the run option that we run, Cam should only have one or two called running plays per game...the rest of the time, like you say, he should stay in the pocket unless the play breaks down or there is a gaping hole in the defense he can take advantage of. Best comparison is what Roerhlesberger and Romo do on agame to game basis. Having such physical WRs and a healthy backfield is gonna make calling the run-option very tempting for Shula though.
  19. we had games where Reaves was the feature back, no Tolbert and basically missing half of our starting defense in a better part of the next few games following the Bengals game. Not to mention those next few games were the toughest part of our schedule and our OL was in total flux and basically in disarray. Hard to make out much from our performance last season as we were basically an entirely new patchwork compared to what we should have this season. Basically, last season and its statistics are basically garbage with a lucky year to be in the worst conference in football.
  20. He would've been our pick if he dropped that far. Would rather have him and Funchess instead of KB, but I'm ok with what we got.
  21. I'm 38, was so excited and jumped on the bandwagon from the get-go. have an inaugural football card welcoming and heralding the expansion Panthers
  22. if Cam leaves, I'm gonna seriously take a long look at my Pantherdom. I don't want to stress out about our franchise QB and face of the Panther's organization. I'm just hoping he's healthy and will see his new weapons, along with our slowly developing OL, as good enough reason to stay and possebly stay and retire as a Panther we have the best uniforms, one of the best FO and our home fans keep buying in due to all the great moves the FO has made to give him ample reasons to be a successful star and face of our franchise. this team is so close to making that jump from run -of-the mill, to being sefious contenders, even beimg one of the youngest teams the league, whose team Building is doing so in all phases of the game.
