  1. Wilson is better when scrambling...he's like a mini-Rowrhlesberger that's fast...so it might be ok that he has constant pressure up the middle? cant stand the guy and super glad he decided to throw the ball from the one yard line instead of handing off to the tank
  2. unger was a pro-bowl caliber anchor blocking next to a DT turned OG (Sweezy,) who has been heavily suspect and penalty magnet. there has to be quite a bit of drop off there in the running game. Carolina's 4-3 is Taylor-made to defend Seattle and asides from the playoff game, the Hawks have needed a couple fumbles and last minute mistakes to beat the Panthers. The Panthers know the Hawks better than any other team outside of the NFCW and are improving at the one place the Hawks are declining...that's in the trenches. see us in the NFCC.
  3. That was a different NFL and we had no UDFA outta nowhere running around getting is into the playoffs.
  4. KKand Star are gonna feast, regardless of who is snapping the ball.
  5. Getting Eddie Royal would have been an upgrade over Crochety, but I'll wager we can draft a better long-term prospect in the 3rd round.
  6. you can't just ignore Greg Olsen in that list. he's been the #2 option for a while. just think if Tolbert was there to block pass rushers instead of having to use our second (maybe even best,) receiver in the backfield?
  7. wondering if Wilson would have still tried to force the ball to Graham instead of handing off to the Beast.
  8. All I know is that Detroits defense just got ripped to shreds. Byeah bye Detroit
  9. Foles had one heckuva season the year before last...led all QBs in overall Rate and was third in total rating I think.
  10. where is Jordan Senn these days anyway? just please let Shaq Thompson fall to us...pleeeeeeeaase!!!!!
  11. the good thing is that we are fully aware of where the personnel needs upgrades and can plain as day see the missing puzzle pieces that need to be put into place. we aren't far behind the truly elite teams in the NFL. Some more young talent from the draft and a couple truly professional workaholic vets at key positions and we are gonna be a handful that contends.
  12. Who are we supposed to trade and what money do we have for all-pro players that aren't already on our team? dude....FA day 1 isn't the smartest day to go on a drinking binge if you're a panthers fan. let's see how this thing shakes out and see who we've drafted. we have Kelvin, Olsen and Ginn as receivers. it's not like we don't have options. we have a monster front 7 on defense and our corners are sublime, we just need a good draft and our oldest core player is Thomas Davis by about 5 years.
  13. why? to replace Corchery? Cecil has never surpassed 1000 yards receiving. Would much rather go for a #2 caliber WR in the draft or just stick with Cotch
  14. I doubt Gore had any interest from PNthers FO and Andre is on the last stretch of his career. I just get the feeling that the Panthers want Their true talent to come from the draft. it's worked pretty well so fAr
  15. are we (NC) the only state that has a color as its trademark?
  16. Go draft or sign a true #1 and we can forget about all this "we need a #2"
  17. Yeah, we have a plethora of possession receivers, KB, Olsen and Cotchery...with Bersin being the fringe situational slot receiver. would love an upgrade over Cotchery but know that we could find that in the draft. Ginn and Corey stretch the field so it's not like we need another burner. No reason to spend the money on a #2 FA when we're probably gonna draft one regardless.
  18. in a lot of ways, I consider Greg Olsen to be that #2. having another underneath type possession receiver might clog things up. we have Corey Brown and are about to get Ginn, so it's almost like someone is going to be the odd man out already, even before we probably draft a receiver that will be an upgrade over Cotchery eventually.
  19. O'Leary played in a pro offense and is most definitely a clutch playmaker in the redzone and yes, O'Leary scored a rushing touchdown at the goal line gor FSU
  20. you guys keep talking about O'Leary as a TE when I'm talking about him replacing Tolbert. O'Leary has better hands out of the backfield and is a big body to lead the rushing attack and blocking in the backfield. I don't want O'Leary as a TE, I want him as a blocking back with great hands out of the backfield. even Olson has very low YAC and I'm not expecting that out of OLeary either...I'm just tired of Olsen being used as a blocking back when he is our second best receiver and is wasted having to do that. Plenary can replace Tolbert as an H-back and is more of a threat out of the backfield than Tolbert is. 2/10 of a second off of Tolberts combine time which was like 7 years ago. please don't try to continue this blabber about Tolbert as he is past his prime and costs us millions to do I'm not even sure what he does anymore.
  21. I don't know how you can say that Tolbert is fast and I'm not looking for O'leary to rush the ball unless he needs to. please share with me these magical games where hoover and Tolbert have rushed for 100 yards in a game as a panther.
  22. Tolbert is falling apart, you can't deny it. I think Brad Hoover when I see O'Leary
  23. Tolbert did none of the above this past season. Gettleman also quoted that the running game is being phased out, which was one of the reasons he is cutting DLo as a June 1st cut. don't be surprised if Getts uses his other June 1st cut on Tolbert.
