He's a late second rounder, imo. No problem with him @57.

Falcons fined $350,000 and lose 2016 fifth round draft pick
MV%doe replied to 0DegreesKelvin's topic in Carolina Panthers
Terrible. So what they didn't benefit, its still clear breaking of the rules over TWO years. Just BS. Cheating is fine, cause $350,000 is pennies for any nfl owner. I bet blank can even write that off in his taxes too. 2016? 5th? Thats like a 2015 6th, o god there gos one ST tackler.... rich mmmmmmkay will be back shortly. Total fake BS. -
Follow your dreams, You will reach your goals, I'm living proof, beefcake! BEEFCAKE!!!

No question he can play the outside, but I feel he's a better fit inside. Soul rebel, you know nickle is the base D now-a-days, he's still starting. He's a playmaker and being in slot offers more plays to be made. Plus he isn't scared of contact. I'm starting to believe CB is the biggest need, but that could change at any moment. Remember he's 5'11 and the nfc south has the tallest outside WR group. Ball was 6'2 and the iants signed that 6'2 CB brewer(former pat/seafag), to counter all the 6'3 + outside WRs. A dark horse, I've heard being link to the first pick is kevin johnson. Steve wilks and every other DB coach/scout rave about him.

I try my best to be a realist. I know its VERY very very hard to win a nfl game. Its impossible for all 32 teams to win each week. What the pats and even the colts have done the last 15 years is abnormal. If I even hear as colt fan complain about anything, I'm punching them straight in the face. Having peyton & luck back-2-back is luckest move in the history of nfl. I want to go 19-0 and win by 50 each game too, but that's not happen in this dimension. I want 6 all pro WRs, but that's not happening either bruh. Last year I wanted at least two WRs drafted, but you need to spread the love. Id go matt millen in the draft and get 5 WRs, then the other spots would fail. Panthers are a 8-8 team, but the future looks bright my friend.......... make sure you have a nice pair of shades, hell you may need a welding mask!!

Top dawg, I'll list some questions below in regards to my reasoning Corey brown. First off he's a UDFA and made a NFL roster for the full year. You listed a few WRs in your post- moncrief, adams, landry, and robinson. Thats mainly 2nd rounders form what's looking like the best WR class in drafts history. To make a even playing field, please list the other UDFAs or even 6/7 rounders to compare to CB. Also the players you listed are in a VERY friendly passing offences, list #3/4 WR form controlling/running teams example 49ers, seafags etc. Plus landry demoted hartline later in the season, in the end he was basically the #1 with wallance giving up. Robinson got plenty of snaps with 1s cause of WRs injuries...... remember it got so bad for the jags they signed T.king off the panther PS. The 13 games active, the first few compared to last five is a BIG difference. Remember the youth movement when RR finally made change(boston, norman, full time turner etc) well giving CB more snaps was part of that too. Just like ealy, brown got better as the season went on. His YAC, I will agree that's something that needs improvement. He had a bad habit of getting open, making a catch, then stepping out of bounds. But just like every other NFLer, he was dealing with injuries (shoulder and concussion issues). So I get why he was avoiding contact, its not worth another concussion or reinjuring shoulder for 3 regular season yards after a first down gain. I'm petty sure you watch panther games and I respect your opinion. I hope the comments give you something else to think about when CB is brought up. I'm not stating he's some #1/2 in the making or anything, he's better than fodder or cut bait tho. My issue with CB was his ST.......... all the fans hate on bersin for his punt returning, but I blame CB for it. I don't know what caused him to become a WR only player, injuries? Too much workload being a full time WR&PR( hear this is a big reason). That said if he doesn't make the team, that means dave signed a couple FA names and used some early draft picks on WRs. I'm all for keeping the best players and currently view corey brown as one.
-
No hate here, he's closer to home. But if no decent CB is added, this may become #1 on the needs. In a passing league and the only keepers are bene, josh and melvin. Need another starter on the outside, so bene can move to NB and make plays.
-
Congrats to dave for trying to improve the issue at OT. Both oher & martin where low round draft picks, that are still young. In order to make this years team @ OT, you're going to have to earn it.
-
I'm starting to question if the people who don't believe in corey brown even watched any panther games. There was a difference when brown wasn't active, he's a keeper in my book.

So which screen name does jason b hirshhorn use on teh huddle??

how fast can perriman run with a slightly pulled groin? A minor ankle sprain? Tweaked hamstring? Football is played in pain, not by track stars wearing under armor.

What happen to american male? the current generations are such pussys compared to older ones, (I'm included in there newer ones). Where did it go wrong? Not going into my theory about men ruining women, in this case it may have been the woman ruin the man. Need to rethink my theory........

I'm sure ron has already called his buddy norv turner and gotten the jennings rundown. After olsen and KB, he's a clear upgrade. Plus his comments are scary, its like the panthers are a perfect fit. Greg can talk about schools, god, family environment etc etc all he wants. greg- " So wifey, the panthers are a prefect fit." " Its even a great fit for kids too, but the raiders just called and offered 5 more million signing bonus than the panthers. " Wife-"you're a raider".
-
Is that all? What about that raider moore, the one top dawg loves too much. I thought there where about 4 "names" left...... what about santurdio holmes?......
-
I cannt talk myself into the first, hope some other team scoops him before 25. I will state this nugget, there's a report form seafags GM that he's only got 16, yes 16 players with first round grades this year. Gurley should be one of those, so if all the high OTs, WRs and DBs are gone come 25.....either trade back, pick a DL( yuck), or take the RB who grew up a panther fan.

The Panthers absolutely need to give Jake Long an offer
MV%doe replied to Matthias's topic in Carolina Panthers
Long on one knee is better than any current panther OT. With all the retiring going on( gamble miss that guy) I'm sure its in his head. Rehab is no joke, twice .....ugh. If I'm him, 100% retire unless money is a issue which it shouldn't be. Really if he wants to keep playing, being a backup is less wear and tear. I mean look at cole and TD, injuries change your nfl age. Be a backup next year and then see if you're still in love. Most times egos will not allow that, but its his choice. -
Hicks just needs to get in the best shape of his life and find a great fit for his skills. Love to have him here at a fair price. cam being in his 5th year throwing to a healthy nicks.... nice combo.
-
No issue with the meeting, even tho I'm against drafting RB in any rounds......except ajayi (like him just as much as gurley)or duke johnson in the mid rounds. You know who I like, reaves. Yup I believe he can play in the nfl. Not as a true #1, but as #2/3 guy and can trust him.
-
Bill showed if you have a stud QB, it covers up all your other mistakes. Bill is many ways was like herniay, he hit on first rounders and failed the rest. I don't think he ever hit on third rounder. As for the panthers getting to championship game in panthers second season, so did the jags. The nfl came out later and said they gave too many benefits to both. When houston texans started out, the path was much harder. Not taking away form bill, he got results and that's the goal.

No idea if kugzilla was the true BPA or not. I wasn't in the war room nor saw the big broad. Its just my best guess. Drafting in the 6/7th is very confusing now-a-days. What I've learn is most team focus on STs at that time. Plus dumb as it may sound, they don't draft the BPA ava. If they really want a player and have feeling he will not sign as a UDFA, they will use a draft pick on said player and hope their BPA will go undrafted. Or if a HC, OC, or DC must have a player the GM will use a 6/7 to satisfy them. Former jets GM said on record he gave ryan one free pick starting in 5-7. Plus I doubt if you already drafted 2 BPAs of XX and BPA XX is in the 6/7, you may pass since you didn't even need the first two to start with.
-
I truly believe star and kk where the BPAs, regardless of needs. Kugzilla was not, bpa. Reaching on a player ray brown and some scout fell in love with. AJ I believe was BPA, regardless of need. At the time, it looked like a bad pick with beason here. Barner, I don't know. Guess... he was among a few BPAs. The sport science vid on him fooled me big time. I believe KB, early(very sure), turner, bene where BPAs. Don't believe tre boston or gaffney where BPAs. Ron loves him some west coasters and knew gaffney well. steve wilks personally gave boston a workout + meeting. They wanted them and dave wants to keeps coaches happy.
-
ST coach(dehaven) MUST have demanded him, I mean the panthers did need a gunner or two. I did notice collin jones ST play fell off once he started getting all the nickle snaps. I'll state this as well- I'm not saying ginn is some huge game changer, but I'm 99.98658 % sure if he was on the past season roster and healthy. No way panthers have a losing record.

Theres just are only a few "experts" that I value there opinion and listen when they give information. Gil is a proven old head, that still knows the current game. Plus he's isn't only one talking up fishers pro day, many others said it was better than his combine. I called fisher flawless there, whats better than flawless?

Jim brown was right about trent.
