    Just a question to anyone.

I’ve read different places about what the colts would probably have to give up to move to #1 (23: 1st, 2nd, 5th; 24: 1st), but I figure the bears are going to want more draft capital than that! But if the bears would accept a offer of that magnitude I’d think I’d be willing to give up (2) 1st (23’ & 24’), 2nd (62), and 5th (148) to move up to #1! What is your opinion on this scenario?

    Lol...absolutely not

Carr definitely doesn't want to be playing for the team that drafts Stroud. Nothing about this situation gives the impression that he'd be happy to mentor someone for a year or two before taking a backup role

Lol...If you pay him he will not mind one bit.

This is something people can’t wrap their head around.

Drake and Caleb are going 1 and 2.  If you don’t have those picks.  Your not getting them.  As Daniel Jeremiah said.  Even if you have pick 3.  Teams aren’t trading out to 3 off those guys.  So pretty much tough luck.

And outside those 2 guys.  Next years QB class is uncertain.  The next guy up isn’t even getting the hype of Bryce, Stroud, ARich, etc this time last year.  So we going to do this again talking is it worth it to move up from 20.  Trading 3 1sts for Spencer Rattler?

Chicago will trade down next yr just like this yr.

You have to wonder with this new coaching staff in place... if we go get a veteran QB like Carr ... its bc this group wanted it.

I wonder if a huddle meltdown would follow if that were to occur....

Would love it if he came at an affordable price.I doubt that happens.

Then you want to Punt the season and hope we suck for Drake?

Dont have to suck or punt the season...and Drake is a way better option. This staff should be able to coach up more than just QBs and have an eye for more than just QB talent.

Well if they don't pursue a QB, there will be a ton of pissed off Huddlers here.

We need to get started SOMEWHERE as far as going after a Franchise QB.

And the only place to potentially find one is in the Draft, not Free Agency or the Scrap Heap.

Thats certainly not true, well with this draft anyways.

    My man Lamar won MVP.

Im sorry but im ending this conversation you clearly just don't like Lamar the player. I can't take you serious when you are questioning a QB who has a MVP and is in the MVP conversation every year.

    Have a nice day sir!

Its only money holding us back. Its not injury or scheme. We would take him if we could no doubt. He wants to get paid we cant pay him what he wants. He would be a great player for us no doubt.Reich would love to have him.

I think the Jets are being slept on with Carr. A lot of people think that’s where Rodgers ends up, but my money is he stays in Green Bay for another year.

He has lost his mind but not enough to go to the jets.

That's pretty much it. Exactly what I think. If he does trade up in his first CAR draft then he obviously has supreme confidence in that prospect.

To potentially lose anywhere from three to six draft picks on a player your not 100% confident in would be insane. Esp for a "new" coach and staff coming in.

It's also why I don't think we'd trade up for AR. If anything we'd trade down for him. Too much risk.

    Trading down makes more sense.

Its not that we dont like him but we will be cap strapped. Not only that, lose picks. Just we rather have 3 good draft picks then one great player. Strength in numbers. We dont need a amazing QB. We need someone competent. Trading up for Stroud would be better for our cap than Jackson in the long run. We would set ourselves back years with Lamar.

Trading up for Stroud woud be just as irresponsible and foolish.if you want a qb,  pick where we are at or trade down and use an extra pick on best available.

The New Orleans Saints, Tennessee Titans, New York Jets, and Carolina Panthers will be among the teams interested in signing Derek Carr once he's released Tuesday, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

That is an interesting group. Of them, we probably have the best coaching situation for a QB. I wonder if this will come down to money or the best situation to win.

I see price as the only barrier. If we can afford him you take him in a heartbeat.

I have been trying to dissuade myself from thinking the QB of the future has to be drafted this year. Yes, next year will have more sexy options in Drake Maye and Caleb Williams but there is one QB in this draft I hate to say has really been growing on me. I feel CJ Stroud could be great if drafted in the right situation and I think the Panthers finally have the staff to make that move. If we have to trade a future first and second so be it. Everything I have seen from him the last two years being a Michigan fan and how he guided his team to almost beating UGA really shows me how poised and un fazed by pressure he is. Really delving deep into every break down only shows issues with his game that can be course correct by coaching. You cannot teach his ability to stay calm under pressure or his athletic ability he uses when needed rather than rproperly progressing through his options. I have yet to see him be the sole reason his team has lost a game in any film I have watched. I just have a feeling that he could be what finally gets us over the top and I hope trading up to 1-3 nets us him no matter the cost.

No trade...if he falls to 9 then fine.

Nobody thought Mahomes was Mahomes at the time either. That's my point; you gotta take your shots until you get your guy.

Many thought he was ...hexwas the 10 pick...so at the very least we shouldn't throw away picks to move up in a fishing expedition

Ray Lewis won 2 Super Bowls in a 17 year career; Patrick Mahomes has already won 2 in 5 seasons as a starter.

How many Super Bowls do you think Ray Lewis would have won if he'd had Patrick Mahomes as his QB?

He won 2...the OP would have that at zero...there are zero mahomes in this draft.Zero.
