oooooo my bad
yeah I've never watched a football player move or act less like a football player than Ian Thomas
its not that he's bad (he is), it's that he doesn't look like he has any idea what he's doing at any moment
Lol...that's funny...bs
But funny.

Seriously?!?!
We're giving $13 million guaranteed to a DT nobody has heard of right off the bat in FA?!?!?
Good thing we don't have more important holes out there like WR, TE, CB, DE, LB
Plenty of options in the draft.another good
Pickup for us.

Nice pickup...

The truth of the matter might be that both Young and Stroud are quality NFL quarterbacks.
Or not...

hes biggest drawback imo is his inability to throw under duress.
That cannot be true.

Lol...yes, hence more targets more catches.Under utilization is the issue.

In Thomas' career, he's had a made a whopping 111 catches for 999 yards and 4 TDs. So, maybe he can catch a cold after all, but not much more.
Like I said more targets more catches.

Yeah just like we aren't drafting a QB in the first and we are getting an OG. Keep it up with your good content it's been spot on!
Never said that...but what I did say was spot on.

The offense was inconsistent and didnt get them involved.Nothing wrong with our TE Corp that throwing to them wouldn't fix.

Are you still upset? It will be ok.
Its commonsense...you wouldn't understand.

Yeah he is like a bigger version of Tremble. We need a pass catching TE.
Lol...we just need to throw to who we have.

It's honestly hard for me to get excited for him. As sexy as his measurables are, he's still a project TE who has problem running routes and has questionable hands.
Just as good or better TEs are available throughout this draft.

Can multiple trades happen per selection or is it just one per pick ?
It would be a total Panthers scenario where we trade to #2 with Houston, then some other team swoops in and trades with Houston to take our guy.
We would have our picks back which in this draft is more valuable than who you may think is "our guy".

That’s usually how #1 picks go….they always go to the team with the most needs.
Self fulfilling prophecy.

Hopefully they just mean that they will select Bryce Young for Texans for another couple picks and they can take Stroud at #2
Makes better sense to trade back.

If we had this staff with Cam the Panthers would have 2 Lombardis. We have another swing.
I'm 95% it's Stroud but if they're in, I'm in. LFG!!!
Lol...but now we dont have Cam...so

Because they listen to the pundits who are biased toward big market teams like Chicago. This is a good trade for Chicago too IF Justin Fields develops into a true franchise QB and a competent passer (jury's still out). It'll also be interesting to see if DJ Moore can prove to be the WR1 that Fields needs to do that.
For the Panthers, it's absolutely a great trade assuming that CJ Stroud or B. Young is our franchise QB for the next 10-15 years. Simple as that and totally worth it.
I honestly thought we would have to give up two additional firsts and trading DJ instead is better because I'm not sure he has that value with his contract.
10-15 yrs? Lol...if we get 3 it will be a miracle.

DJ Moore
That's not a lot to give up for the #1 pick. WRs are easier to get than QBs. We have messed around with the QB situation for years and it hasn't worked. Now we have OUR choice. Not whoever is left over. We control this draft.I would have expected to give up more to get to #1 from #9.
The qb pool is a low value...still overpaid for the move.

Look, I’m not gonna act like an armchair expert, been lurking here forever and love this board. All I know is we have an experienced staff that is looking to create a new culture and get the Panthers back to being relevant on Sundays.
Could be the worst trade ever, could be franchise positive for years to come. Honestly just stoked to see where it goes. I think DJ is gonna do great things in Chicago, hate seeing him go, but we had to do something to fix the QB situation. Good or bad, no matter what your stance is on what we gave up, you gotta admit it’s great to control the narrative at this point.
No...its a bad trade and not spinnable to trick our sensibilities.

You’re really worked over DJ Moore who’s basically a smidge better than Gabe Davis?
WRs can be had as FAs or cheap trades, in fact I’m glad we kept a third 1st round pick!!!
in case you’ve missed, we haven’t had a solid QB1 since 2018, 4 years of disastrous QB play
instead of hoping or settling Carolina got aggressive and I’m honestly surprised at the trade package we didn’t give up more.
They got stupid.3 more yrs of disaster in the way. When they finally realize it we will need oline and
d line overhaul along with a qb.desperation on parade.
