  1. I've been following Koochie's career in Russia for a while, pretty much since we drafted him. He's been great for us so far but I do think he needs more time fine tuning his technique and angles before we can really rely on him as our starter for a playoff run. He filled in admirably for a game in last year's playoffs against Boston but then really struggled vs NYR. He's pretty young for an NHL starting goalie as it is and still new to the North American game which has differences from playing in Russia, more time getting settled here either as an NHL backup or AHL starter I think makes the most sense. However with Freddie out I'm 100% cool with a trial by fire here and hopefully he just continues this strong play, but I want to see a sample size of at least a dozen or two dozen starts with solid play before I'd declare him our #1. I absolutely think he can and will get there, I'm just not sure this season is the time quite yet. We will see how he does in the coming weeks/months if Freddie remains out though. Hopefully Rod keeps giving him ~50% of the games, splitting with Raanta.
  2. He needs to win 6 of the next 7 to even have a chance in my opinion. That ain't happening...
  3. 72 Dolphins gonna be celebrating tonight?
  4. We obviously should, if only to keep Baker from hitting the snap threshold on the conditional pick we sent to Cleveland
  5. Completely agree. We really should embrace the tank this year and give the young guys playing time. Trade Rozier, Hayward and Plumlee and give McD, Kai, Williams, Richards, Bouk, etc. bigger minutes to see what we have in them and develop them. Might as well get in the mix for Wembanyama and with a chance Miles comes back next year at a bit of a discount we could have a really good core of LaMelo, Miles, Wemby + other nice young pieces in places with a bunch of cap space.
  6. Agreed, I don't think they'd trade him unless he requested out. He's a guy you really don't want to give away since there's a good chance you won't find anything out there better any time soon. Honestly I'd consider him a selling point for prospective coaches. I like Carr, he's wayyyyy more legit than Teddy, Sam, Baker. But I'm also a little sick of taking other teams' scraps. I've seen people compare Carr to Stafford, just needing to get out of a terrible team but I don't think Carr is quite on that level (when Stafford was healthy anyways) and likely won't lead a team to a SB win. Not the biggest fan of giving up more draft capital for a vet QB, and while his contract wouldn't cripple us or hamstring us in the mid/long term, the cap hits are probably a bit high if he's on the team. I would completely defer to the new HC, especially if it's a guy I want like Harbaugh, Payton, Steichen. If they wanted Carr and the plan was for him to be our Andy Reid era Alex Smith, then by all means pull the trigger. Otherwise I say just take best QB available this draft and roll with him (then rinse and repeat every 2-3 years until we find a legit franchise QB). Maybe we could do both if the new HC wants to let the rookie sit like Reid did with Mahomes and some other coaches have done with young QBs.
  7. No one will know until after they play in the big leagues…
  8. Really not a terrible contract. Relatively easy to get out of. Those guarantees would stay with Vegas anyways I believe so we could cut him with no dead money at any point
  9. Yeah it'll be crazy, if we win just 1 more we could be looking at a pick after 10... I think the Raiders will fire McDaniels and whoever the interim is will get them another win or 2 so we could be looking at 2nd overall if we lose out. Aside from us though, man I get so much joy out of seeing that Aints pick being at 4 and them not having it, lol
  10. Rodgers at his absolute best was the closest I've seen to Mahomes in terms of making insane otherworldly plays with his arm that no other QB can. I recall a TD he threw against us I believe in 2015 that I could never have imagined any other QB pulling off. But Mahomes has taken it to another level and does it more often than Rodgers did. Truly a joy to watch and frankly with the Panthers having been so bad lately, Andy Reid's Chiefs and Mahomes are one of the few things about the NFL I actually do enjoy watching these days. Well, that and games like Vikings-Bills today...
  11. Just look at his wide receiver group and the fact he’s leading the league in passing yards and touchdowns. 100% agree dawg, Mahomes is in a league of his own right now.
  12. That would be sweet. 1 seems impossible at this point and Houston will likely have their pick of QB. Hopefully they fug it up and we can get the best QB of the draft
  13. Let’s see how he would do with a Ginn caliber receiver as his #1, he’s had elite weapons every year that he’s been good. Mahomes is still dominating without a legit wide receiver on the team, just Kelce. Not even much of a run game either
  14. Obviously but it’s been asinine the last few years hearing talk of him being the best QB in the league and better than Mahomes
  15. Overrated man, can’t hold Mahomes’ jockstrap in the AFC.
  16. I don't understand why he signed here, he probably had a dozen teams interested in him, many contenders.
  17. TMJ could be a beast, too bad Rhule ruined his development
  18. This team is gonna blow draft position here but I gotta say these uniforms with the black helmets are absolute fire. This should be our regular home uni. The way the blue pops is friggin awesome
  19. forgot about that, maybe I'll tune in to check the helmets out. Certainly don't give a poo about the team's play on the field. Rather watch the Canes, hell even the Hornets if LaMelo is back
  20. Steichen, Payton (not happening), Harbaugh are my top 3 right now, no order.
  21. No; I like his game but it won't last and knowing this franchise's luck, he will give us like 2 years of playoff losses before we collapse and suck again but this time with no young talent because we paid so much for him in assets and cap space.
  22. Not "as" bad, but still bad, frankly.
  23. They're not, they want to know if 4 QBs will go ahead of their pick so they get a better non-QB player...
  24. A 3rd round pick from an outgoing regime who missed his entire rookie year; maybe not the hill to die on T Dawg! I hope he proves valuable, but the odds are extremely long of him contributing in any meaningful way here...
