  1. Lmao. This is gonna be a long day for us. What’s the biggest blowout in playoff history?
  2. It’s relatively new, probably coincided with fantasy leagues adding flex positions. Dumb though The All Pro voting is way more meaningful than Pro Bowl but it’s definitely flawed and skews towards big markets and successful teams too much, and also name recognition/past success. Brown should 100% be All Pro, shame he isn’t.
  3. I’m not watching the video but even as one of his biggest critics I’d say he’s definitely safe. His overachieving D this season is the reason we snuck into the playoffs.
  4. 2003 my favorite season too, then 2013, then 2015.
  5. Yeah that one was a shocker. Our win over Arizona was not as surprising as we were playing damn good football by then, we had quite a few different players in the lineup at the end of the year vs the beginning when the losses were piling up and most importantly Carson Palmer was hurt for Arizona and they were starting some absolute scrub QB who I don’t think was even still in the league like 2 years later. Pretty sure that win of ours is still the least yards ever allowed in a playoff game by a team.
  6. No. 2 out of 4, us and the Seahawks. Bucs and Washington got beat
  7. I'd like him as an OC, he's a bright offensive mind. But as an overall HC I don't think he's any better right now with 4 years experience than Canales is with 2 years. Sure, look at raw records if you want. But Canales inherited the biggest disaster team in the league while McDaniel inherited a very solid team that was coming off 10 and 9 win seasons, and he proceeded to do absolutely nothing with them aside from like a month and a half stretch one year where Tua was playing lights out.
  8. Did you watch Dalton this year? Lol. Dude is the epitome of washed up, Cousins right now is 10x the QB Dalton is. I think Cousins is still better than current Bryce. Horribly overpaid and I wouldn't want him to be our plan A or B at QB, but I'd take him on a cheaper contract for a year or two easily, even if it's just to upgrade the backup position. As mediocre as Bryce has been he was good enough to get 8 wins as a starter. Dalton, I truly don't think would win us more than 1-2 games in a 17 game season based on how he played this year. Independent of Bryce/starter position, Dalton needs to be put to pasture and upgraded on badly.
  9. Funchess wound up disappointing obviously but he was a wayyyyyy better player than Mingo or XL, albeit briefly. Funch was a legit weapon in 2017, not a great WR1 but actually a guy defenses had to care about. Mingo isn't even an NFL player and XL clearly not a starter which sucks for a 1st round pick we traded up for. I view guys like Funchess, LaFell as being worth their draft positions and having ok NFL careers (LaFell better than Funch clearly, but who knows what happens with Funch if there was no covid). XL and Mingo on the other hand are massive busts who are just flat out bad football players.
  10. I know he's already been linked to a few other teams' HC openings, but I can't for the life of me understand why. I don't think he's been remotely good in Miami.
  11. Despite my criticisms of Canales, many of which have been warranted, I've been a supporter of giving him a real chance to build something here (with his own hand picked QB) and I do think 8 wins despite our QB limitations and defensive roster limitations has been an overall impressive season. That said, Harbaugh is an all time great, elite, proven consistent winner and SB champion HC. I say sorry to Dave in a damn heartbeat if Harbaugh would be willing to come here. I can't imagine he'd choose us, however. Reported that 9 have reached out but I bet there's 15 teams league wide who would make him an offer ultimately, and I doubt we'd beat them all out for his services.
  12. There's no scenario where one single playoff win no matter how well he performs would directly lead to Bryce going into next year with zero competition. If the front office is gonna be clowns again like they were this year, then they would do that independent of how Bryce plays this week. And vice versa. So it's a pointless hypothetical.
  13. Bullshit fake ass job title. If he’s not interviewing for their actual GM job we should be able to block it.
  14. I would in a heartbeat fire Canales and hire Harbaugh. Playoffs in 12/18 seasons, 9/12 playoffs winning at least 1 game, SB win, only 1 season below 8 wins. Only had a true franchise QB for like 6ish of those seasons (Lamar, taking into account his injuries/seasons ended by injury).
  15. Saw somewhere that we're 9-4 this year with Kon, Miller and LaMelo in the lineup. 6-6 in our last 12 despite several injuries in that stretch too. At this point it really comes down to health -- especially LaMelo and to a lesser degree of concern Brandon. I think the roster is awfully close to being a playoff team (top 6 seed), offensively we are there but need more defensive help, especially a legit starting C (Kalk when healthy and Moussa are both fine players but neither should be starting right now for a team with playoff aspirations). Not sold on Lee but more games like last night and I'll start to believe obviously. Kon is an insanely good player period, let alone for a rookie. Great draft pick there. And Sion was a huge find, he already may be our best defensive player, although that's not saying much. Seems like every time I say it the Hornets Hornet, but things seem to be finally looking up for this team.
  16. Honestly probably a wash. I think the latter 3 will all see some drop off next year and the other 3 have a better chance of improving this off season.
  17. Geno would be a HUGE upgrade on Dalton and could push Bryce a bit. I’d be all for pursuing him if he’s released. Contract he’s on is too steep though. And I wouldn’t want him to be the only add at QB — Willis is ideal but also would draft a guy with some developmental potential (physical traits) day 3. I don’t see any chance we move on from Bryce sadly but my ideal overhaul of the QB room is going from Bryce/ghost of Dalton/scrubs to Willis/Geno/rookie.
  18. Yeah that offense was LEGIT at ball control and sustaining drives.
  19. 18th in PPG. And we had an all time elite D that year to go with great ST too. Shula held Cam back a ton except for 2015.
  20. Brutal way to lose lol, but an entertaining finish to the season. Ultimately I think Texans would easily beat either of these teams and the game vs PIT won’t be close.
