Not really. Obviously having Cam was big but this team under JR had plenty of success (just not consistently sustained) pre-Cam
-
What a terrible call. And I can’t stand these doofus announcers slobbering over the dolphins all game, such an overrated team
-
Bryce has been so off since the first 2 drives. Similar to last week — 1 step forward 2 steps back
-
Hill is an extremely unlikeable player and person, would serve him right to miss time
-
These announcers suck, slobbering over Tua while we have the ball and Thielen limps off the field no mention of it
-
Lol we all should’ve expected this. Easy L coming but hopefully Bryce can keep putting up some points and solid drives. But D ain’t getting another stop
-
Let’s fug8ng go boys!!!!!!!!
-
I mean, 1 game doesn’t negate the first 5 but yeah I’ll be really happy if that’s how it plays out. Still because of my Panthers PTSD expecting things to shift in Dolphins favor at some point but enjoying this so far
-
So how are we gonna feel when Bryce has 3 TDs no picks and we win 38-13?
-
Nice Tommy T… he was always high upside athleticism
-
Lol what a terrible play! Nice stop D. Let’s get another TD boys
-
Lol some dude poo’d me for an obvious joke
-
I didn’t realize PJ went to the Browns, good for him to still be in the league
-
Chuba > CMC change my mind
-
No but it wasn’t terrible either, season 2 didn’t show much improvement either but still not terrible and a little better. He’s a potential comp for hoping Bryce can still be a franchise guy but a lot of his recent success can be attributed to McDaniel and their elite weapons. Not so easy to get all that for Bryce

Lol this supports my point, he came in and immediately got rid of the losers and dead weight. Canes had missed the playoffs 10 straight years before the sale, Dundon changes HC and GM, let’s them do their jobs and starts spending and now have been contenders every year. Exact opposite of Tepper who took a team coming off playoffs in 4 out of 5 years incl. a SB appearance and immediately turned them into the worst team in the league. Results speak for themselves
-
I agree, my point is that Dundon, unlike Tepper, just pays the bills and lets the professionals do their jobs. Tepper doesn’t, he’s willing to open the wallet but then involves himself in every decision, undermining the people he hires. That’s the difference
-
Not really… Dundon opens his wallet and lets Waddell and Rod do their jobs
-
Send him to Buffalo or Washington -- Rivera or McD would turn the dude into a perennial All-Pro easily.
-
Triangle area is mostly a college sports town, it's good for the Canes and has room for them (& maybe a future baseball team) sure but moving the Panthers there makes no fuging sense. They are in the perfect spot at BoA right now. Issue is entirely the owner and product on the field, not location.
-
I hope we trade him to the Chiefs and they win the SB again, screw the Eagles and any other NFC team.
-
I don't recall any drops from him this year. Historically yeah he's had horrible hands.

Albert Breer on Panthers trade deadline strategy
t96 replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
I've always liked Donte as a speedier 2 CB or slot CB, definitely not perfect with some terrible missed tackles at times and poor coverage but overall a solid guy to have when healthy. That has been the biggest problem with him lately though, staying healthy. Probably doesn't have much value at all now because of it, but I wouldn't have wanted to trade him away before the availability issues. -
Not sure if he ever even played football but I think he would've been a pretty damn good QB if he focused on it over basketball -- obviously not as good as he is at basketball but still

This seems to be a common theme throughout Tepper's tenure so far, whenever anyone from the team talks about all the big moves they talk about how they were collective decisions and how the group were all in agreement (whether Rhule, Fitts, Hurney, Tepp, Reich, etc.). Tepper seems to like having the team run by committee approach where he's ultimately the final say/veto and is able to control the narrative in these meetings. Aside from that being an issue because Tepper is incompetent about football ops, this entire concept of all big decisions about the team being made collectively is a serious issue. When a decision is made by 3-4+ people you have 3-4+ people accountable for the results which ultimately means no one is truly accountable (i.e. Rhule can say he wanted to do something else but Fitts/Tepp wanted differently, and each of them can do that about the others). I think this is one of the biggest issues with how this team has been run the last 6 years. Of course you want the HC, GM, staff, scouts, etc. on the same page about moves but they will not always be completely in sync and someone has to have the final say and be the final decision maker and take accountability. Tepper has had this role in reality but he takes no accountability and isn't the right person for this role as he can't replace himself as owner. Of course it can be a bit difficult managing HC & GM as GM can say he got the players/talent but HC didn't develop them or use them properly and HC can say the GM got him shitty players, but there are ways to weed this out on each side. Another easy way to solve that issue is by letting the GM hire the HC, not having the owner hire the HC while "working with the GM to choose" as Tepper has done a few times now. Then GM is fully accountable as he hired the HC and if the coach can't develop the players it ultimately falls on the GM for hiring the shitty coach. Bit of a rant here, but as many here have discussed, just expanding a bit on thoughts of how this team can eventually have success in the event Tepper remains owner (which is the reality that he will, however unfortunate). Basically, Tepper needs to blow things up and lean heavily on experienced NFL advisors in choosing a GM, then let that GM run the team and hire the HC.
