  1. ehh better than Thomas/Tremble but I would've preferred not forcing the issue at TE with a guy like Hurst. Hopefully it's not a ton of $. I don't think he's all that good to be honest.
  2. I doubt Minshew would’ve considered us even if we were interested, no path to start here.
  3. He’s not gonna be that expensive lol, the market isn’t there for RBs
  4. I mean, QB will decide the division and they are far behind the Aints and likely us right now. Ridder and Heinicke suck
  5. Nah Sutton is washed after his injuries, Jeudy would be the target from Denver
  6. Hell yeah. He wants to play for a contender so it’s telling that he’s even interested enough in us to visit whether we wind up signing him or not. Thielen + a WR in the 2nd round would be a great start to giving Stroud some weapons to go with our elite OL
  7. He has 1 legit championship that he earned the rest were him joining super teams. On the field/court yes LeBron is probably better. But the media antics surrounding “the decision” were significantly more ridiculous than anything Rodgers has said/done.
  8. Honestly as ridiculous as Rodgers has been he still can’t possibly be as bad as LeBron then
  9. Decent backup and mentor, I’m cool with it.
  10. Makes sense after we kept Boze but the hate he got here was ridiculous, he was a rock solid C for us. Bad at guard but good at C. Couldn't keep him as a backup at that cap hit but he wasn't bad for us at his natural position. Wish him the best for an AFC team that we don't play.
  11. Williams can be gotten for relatively cheap and short term. Honestly I think Foreman gets a bigger contract from him this FA.
  12. I'd like to overhaul the RB room. Chuba and Foreman were fine last year but nothing special. I'd go with Jamaal Williams and draft a shiftier/speed/pass catching back somewhere in round 3-5.
  13. I mean there's never really any point in 1st overall pick smokescreens that happen every year except as posted above to drive interest/intrigue from fans or to just mess with other teams' heads and try to get them to panic or do something stupid. Even when the pick could not be any more obvious (i.e. Lawrence to the Jags) there are still reports and smokescreens about it possibly being someone else or a trade down, etc.
  14. Reality is we probably know exactly who we're taking and all the reports from the trade until draft day are just random guesses/speculation or intentional smokescreens.
  15. even that wouldn't do it since we don't have our 1st now. Only possible way that happens is if we trade Burns or someone else and pick up a 1st next year that winds up being top 5-10, like the Lions and Seahawks got this year. Happened twice last year somehow but that rarely rarely happens. Teams likely to suck enough to pick that high don't often trade away their 1sts.
  16. Ehh I don't see it at all. They're both the same age and have both been on at least 4 NFL teams in their careers. Butker was a rookie who lit it up and should've been a no brainer to keep compared to Gano who had struggled with consistency and was going to need a new (big) contract soon. We made the obviously wrong decision, despite Gano ultimately having a pretty good season that year. Eddy vs Zane is more of a coin toss
  17. Not a fan of this, if anything trade back in the 2nd to pick up some more picks. Rookie QB with an elite OL and solid coaching staff is already a pretty damn good situation, we can add weapons in time. One TE I'd actually have my eye on is TJ Hockenson. MN just traded for him this past season but they also just signed a TE today for relatively big money and I wonder if their negotiations with Hock haven't gone well (he's a free agent next year). I'd be calling them about him and/or getting ready to target him next year in FA. Schultz could be another option but is likely going to be too expensive for not really being a top tier TE.
  18. Generally agree but obvious passing downs would have 1 or 2 more DBs than just the 4. I can see Chinn playing a fair amount of joker/nickel though I'm not sure that's the ideal spot for him, especially matched up on a WR. He can cover a TE or most HBs.
  19. And he was a literal freak one of a kind hall of famer. Those specs alone now are a dime a dozen. The average size in the NFL in Flutie's time was considerably smaller compared to now. Using him as an example of a tiny QB holding up now isn't very convincing.
  20. Pretty sure he has them both at LB spots in that post. Brown at NT; Tuttle and YGM starting DEs. Then Burns and Luvu as edge rushers at LB
  21. Their frames are able to hold that weight, Young's isn't. He added pounds for the weigh in and didn't do the workouts because of it. He's almost certainly already back down to like 185-190. He's a tiny dude for a QB and it's a fair concern.

  23. He started 66 career games in an era where there weren't guys playing at 230+ lbs and running 4.4 40s... I like Bryce Young, incredible prospect and the size doesn't even scare me off that much. If Stroud weren't also a great prospect with ideal size I'd be all in on Young 1st overall. But with Stroud in play, his size is enough of a concern that I prefer Stroud. And it's not just height, his frame is really really small. Wilson, Murray, Brees are all much bulkier than Young. And honestly even if Young were 6'2 220 there could still be an argument for Stroud. Stroud is a great player and I bet if he didn't play at Ohio State but at a different college that is known for creating successful NFL QBs he'd be rated higher. The dude's tape is ridiculous.
