  1. Ickey struggled, uncharacteristically, but again it means nothing with a sample size of 11 snaps. That's part of the reason I'm not concerned, Ickey isn't going to play that poorly this season. At certain times of certain games sure, pretty much every player is susceptible to short stretches of poor play. But over the course of the season I expect him to be a top 10 LT. The others aren't starters so just need to stay healthy and get Corbett back ASAP.
  2. To all the overreactors out there, it's incredibly important to put this first preseason game into some perspective. Bryce and the starting OL only played 11 snaps. We were missing Corbett and Sanders which will not be the case for most of the season. Thielen, Chark and Mingo all played less than the 11 snaps Bryce played. And even still there were only a few actual bad plays from the starters (Bryce overshooting Chark due to pressure, Laviska messing up his route, and the final sack). Even aside from the usual pre-season vanilla stuff, etc. it's really impossible to draw any conclusions whatsoever from a mere 11 snaps. Put away the pitchforks, playoffs are still on the menu
  3. dude that is literally not possible. Reich could absolutely suck but the way he carries himself will never drop to Rhule's level of suck. I could see Reich further enforce making us miss Rivera though, really hoping not.
  4. It's always felt so unnatural to me, obviously it's worked for several teams who've won it all with a 3-4, none more obvious than Denver against us but I completely agree. I hate the 3-4, I do (for now) trust Evero to make it work for us but I think it's easier to have a successful 4-3 than 3-4.
  5. The division is no better than last year, probably worse with Brady retired and the Bucs likely bottom feeders. 1st overall QB coming off 7 wins last year with a superstar coaching staff assembled and the expectations should be high. The pressure should be on this staff.
  6. That preseason game has had zero effect on my opinion of Reich. I’ve had concerns about Reich all along, and all I’m saying is that if we don’t outperform last year by at least a few wins in a worse division now that we have a QB then he should be on the hot seat. This team is built and ready to start winning now, if we waste Bryce’s rookie contract we won’t ever win poo unless he somehow turns into Mahomes caliber and takes a bargain deal like Mahomes did.
  7. I wouldn’t be surprised no matter how it turns out. I think Bryce is the real deal, but Reich concerns me considerably. If this season is bad then he should be on the hot seat. He wasn’t hired along with his superstar staff and handed a 1st overall QB to take time to rebuild.
  8. Sorry but gonna have to strongly disagree here. We’re coming off a 7 win season not a 2 win season, and our 2 biggest weaknesses we’re coaching and QB both of which we upgraded significantly. In this division I think anything short of a playoff appearance is a disappointment.
  9. I’d stick with starters until we get a scoring drive then pull them
  10. Yeah 100%, after years of trash at QB this is so refreshing
  11. That was great D by Donte bulkshit call nvm thought they were calling PI on him
  12. Forced a couple of third and shorts, need to get the stops though
  13. Wtf nfln not showing it nor is nfl+. fuging retarded
  14. When is Cortbett expected back? Within the first month of the season or will it be longer? How brutal was that to have both our guards go down with serious injuries in meaningless play late last year...
  15. thanks for finding and posting the video. not even that bad, felt like a 50/50 ball. poor decision to throw it there but Chark (not TMJ...) could've done more to either catch it or at least prevent the pick
  16. that's the pick that was referenced earlier in this thread that went off a few hands/TMJ (I think it was him) lost a battle for the ball.
  17. Mahomes has the same creativity and insane awareness but a stronger arm, I would still take him. But yeah whatever people think of Rodgers, I'd argue he's the best QB of his generation over Brady, Manning, Brees and while they're in the same tier it's not particularly close. And I say that as a big fan of Peyton's game (but fug him and the league for 2015). And Rodgers really has not fallen off anywhere near as much as people think, last year was an outlier because of all the poo around him and him losing focus/motivation. I don't think the Jets will win it all this year but I think Rodgers will bounce back in a big way with the change of scenery. So to your point, one of the best QBs of all time is picking apart a team with a new HC, DC and many new players in August -- not really worried about that.
  18. Agreed. Didn't KB go down in 2015 against the Dolphins in joint practices? Wound up potentially being a blessing in disguise to get Cam to spread the ball around but by all accounts he was dominating that camp and was on the verge of a real break out. Tensions run high in these and guys fighting for roster spots can take liberties, I think we had a scrub fringe guy cheapshotting patriots players here in NE last year (not that I have any sympathy for them). I hope we get more coverage from the NY media today, coverage has really been lacking from Panthers media this camp so far. Excited to get a better evaluation of Bryce and our D against another team.
  19. Ehh, many other teams have had much worse kicking situations than us over the years. Bears, Vikings come to mind immediately. Gano was really quite solid for us for a while and our kicking could've been worse since he left. Don't get me wrong I'd love to have a Tucker or Vinatieri, even Butker has been overall very very good for KC. But kicking is far far down the list of our problems in team history.
  20. Well the "at times" was really just 1 season but yeah he was a top 5-10 QB and a huge personality of course he got (and deserved) the attention. Also had the best start to a rookie QB season ever pretty much.
