  1. https://www.pro-football-reference.com/teams/nwe/draft.htm https://www.pro-football-reference.com/teams/car/draft.htm Lol yes absolutely. Belichick is about as bad of a personnel guy as you can get. Consider him as a coach sure but definitely not for a front office role (which there's no chance he'd consider anyways, chasing Shula's record).
  2. lol why in the world would we want belichick of all people running the team and not coaching? great coach (albeit a cheater), terrible personnel guy. look at patriots drafts like the last 7 years
  3. we'll see... he seemed pretty clear in his multiple press conferences since the end of the season that he badly wanted to keep coaching the Seahawks. when asked if he still wanted to coach/would coach elsewhere he basically said "no comment" not "no I'll stay with the Seahawks." This is a pure firing -- Pete has class and has made it amicable but I think there's a solid chance he'll consider a HC job somewhere else. Reality is Carroll is one of the greatest NFL head coaches of all time and despite his age he'd be the best coach in team history and probably bring us back to back winning seasons for the first time within his first 3-4 years. Would be stupid not to consider him if he is open to opportunities.
  4. Dude’s got the energy of a 40 year old and health too
  5. Along with his accomplishments, not much more needs to be said. I’m all for going after him for HC barring a Harbaugh union
  6. Samir Suleiman is already the alleged "cap expert." We've seen how that's worked out the past few years. Get us some damn old school in the weeds football people in the front office. I like the Dallas guy that someone brought up here. We need a significant influx of talent, with less draft capital than other teams have. Cap expert is a total joke if you don't have talented football players to start with.
  7. disastrous. tepper is doubling down on being fuging retarded a team void of talent is ignoring building out the scouting aspect of the front office. genius!
  8. not a CFB guy so don't care at all. although maybe Tepper will try to convince him to give the NFL one last shot and we'll have another disastrous debacle on our hands.
  9. happy for him. and what do ya know, another 1st round hit by Hurney
  10. also the TD run called back by stupid illegal formation penalty
  11. so fuging stupid. we need an elite talent evaluator GM and we need that guy to choose a HC that fits his vision for the roster and how he'll build it out with the talent he finds. OR give Harbaugh the keys to the franchise to do whatever he wants and bring in whoever he wants
  12. if we decide not to keep him at DC couldn't we try to trade him to the Jags or elsewhere since he's under contract as DC? Couldn't block him getting a promotion to HC but could get something out of him going elsewhere as a DC
  13. dawg, I believe! Ever the optimist, I envision Harbaugh leading this team to a SB victory and sustained success (i.e. back to back winning seasons for the first time ever!) with Tepper learning from his past mistakes and letting him do it the way he wants to.
  14. nope, clear house don't want anyone who has the stench to remain
  15. Ehh I disagree. Julio Jones was a notoriously terrible TD and red zone guy yet he was not only a #1 but one of the best weapons in the league period and demanded a ton of defense’s attention. Moore is a low end #1, probably a top 15 WR.
  16. LOL shoulda heard the Aints fans around me at our playoff game in 2017 when Cam went out for a play late in the game before coming back in… lousy excuse for Tepper being an idiot/douche
  17. A few things at play here. 1) Most likely scenario is that Tepper hires people who believe in Bryce and sell him a plan for winning with Bryce. He’s going to want to try to not look like a dumbass for going all in for Bryce. 2) In the absence of that scenario there could absolutely still be plenty of legit qualified people who may believe in Bryce and want him as their QB. He was 1st overall for a reason and was regarded as a potential generational prospect if he had the conventional size. For as bad as Bryce has been his size really hasn’t been the issue at all so I’m sure plenty of coaches think they could get much more out of him. So depends who we hire. 3) The thing that’ll keep him safe on the roster is that he has more value to us than he has to other teams. What team would give more than a 3rd for him right now? If we keep him as a backup next year his value doesn’t change that much and we could still trade him later. No reason to push him out for pretty much nothing in return at this point. May as well keep him around as an option. However this doesn’t mean he should or will be handed the starting job again. Any new staff should just be treating him as a piece on the roster that will have to completely earn his playing time. If a 3rd round rookie comes in and outplays him then by all means let that guy start over him.
  18. I think he'll land as a DC somewhere and be solid, albeit not amazing. Doubt he gets a HC job again
  19. in reality it really doesn't matter which of the 3 make it, whoever it is will get destroyed by Philly almost certainly.
  20. I hate the Falcons but I'm pulling for us and them to win so that we see another team with a losing record win this division. Will put even more of a spotlight on how fuging terrible Tepper is that we're this bad in a division that has had back to back losing record division winners.
  21. I'll be "in" for this season in the sense that I'll still follow the team and watch all the early games, but I will have no expectations of lasting the full season when we most likely inevitably suck again and I won't invest in the team at all. I went to our opener in Atlanta this year (first game attended since before covid) and had planned to go to multiple more games including Jax but with the season down the drain halfway through I scrapped those plans. If Tepper lucks into making the right decisions at HC and GM and somehow we have a quick turn around and are sitting in a playoff spot in the final month of the season or so maybe I'll think about reinvesting, going to games, etc. but definitely will not do any more than watch the games early in the year.
