  1. I don't follow college football closely so I can't really say much but it seems the '25 QB class isn't that good and we badly need some cornerstone players. If there are "sure-thing" (or as close to one it as you can get) defensive players at any position available at our pick I'd consider that, but would really love it if we could trade down and get a haul. I've generally been of the mindset recently that we need to keep drafting a QB kinda high every 2-3 years until we hit on one, but the D so badly needs an infusion of some talent that I'd be ok postponing that plan this year and looking at QB in '26. Or maybe look at a QB in the 2nd round with that Rams pick we have.
  2. I've come to be a big fan of Chuba but I'm also pretty excited about Brooks. Chuba is a UFA and playing himself into a big contract (for a RB anyways). If we can get a real good look at Brooks before the trade deadline and he plays well I'd definitely consider trading Chuba to a RB needy team for draft compensation. We need to build up the D badly, and I don't see much reason in the modern NFL to have a double trouble type situation at RB. Chiefs would be an interesting deadline partner as we potentially have an "abundance" of both WR and RB, 2 areas they are weak in this year due to injuries. I could see us getting a 1st and 3rd or 4th for Chuba and Diontae, who would both be rentals for them and possibly (likely?) guys we won't give big contracts to. But worth it for the Chiefs to help them with the threepeat effort. Could also swap out Thielen for Diontae if we decide to keep him longer term, which is certainly possible the way he's played lately. Would absolutely suck to either let Chuba/Diontae walk for nothing in free agency or to be forced to overpay them to keep them here, as I can see them wanting out due to us sucking unless we overpay.
  3. We were up 7-0 and were running the ball early until things spiraled out of control. Again, I don't disagree at all that we should focus our offense around running the ball but it's damn hard to do with such a terrible defense. In the modern NFL you just can't base your offense around the run unless you have an elite defense. When you need to score a lot of points these days you do it by passing the ball. The rules are just so favorable for passing offense that if you don't take advantage of it you won't put up big points. Which we need.
  4. I do agree but it’s hard to commit to the run when you know the D is going to allow 30+ points a game
  5. Not sold on Canales yet but yeah I love this mindset that no coach in our history would have
  6. Nice drive to close the half. I think Coker is gonna be a fuging stud
  7. LOL that play perfectly sums up the Tepper Panthers
  8. I never ever wanted to see Bryce again for us but at this point we might as well just put him in
  9. Not sure what point you’re trying to make? 10 catches across 4 games is not a lot. And what is the yardage/TDs?
  10. This team is completely incompetent all around. The Raiders gave us a mirage but we are still the worst team in the league
  11. I didn’t say that about the O outside of Bryce. D this year is way worse off than the O last year. And despite the spark from Dalton I also think the O is years away. We’re on our way to another 3-4 win season at best
  12. This D is 3+ years away from being able to make the playoffs
  13. I hate the falcons obviously but lol bucs
  14. We were all sick of Rivera being unable to adapt in the modern NFL, why in the world would we stick with a guy in the exact same mold who is just a poor man's version of Rivera. Wilks is an awesome human being, loved having him here pretty much the entire time he was here. Great leader of men and secondary coach. Despite it leading to a HC opportunity I thought he was in over his head in his year as DC here, but he did do well as interim HC. He was just never going to be the long term guy here. His style is just too old school. I prefer that style of football, hard nose defensive oriented game with special teams and time of possession focus and ground and pound on offense. I wish it was still around. But the modern NFL has adapted and coaches need to adapt with it to have success and win. Belichick who despite being a cheater is one of the top 3-5 HCs ever and dude ran the pats into the ground lately because of this same thing -- the game has passed him by. Wilks too. Just because Tepper has made even worse decisions since then does not mean that hiring Wilks permanently would've been a good move. It wouldn't have been. Our ceiling would've been occasional 10-11 win season and playoff berth and getting run off the field by elite teams in the playoffs but with most seasons missing the playoffs. Better than what we've gotten under Tepper sure but still not what we should be striving for.
  15. got us to 7-10 and that was largely the D and running game. we did not have a good thing
  16. Sam was solid here for the first few weeks before McCaffrey got hurt then the wheels came off. He could easily fall apart in MN too, and reality is MN has elite offensive coaching and personnel including the best WR in the league. Sam has been great and credit to him, I like him, but based on what we had seen from him here letting him go was not a bad decision. Honestly Dalton so far this year has looked better than Sam ever did here -- small sample size of course and Dalton is much older but still I have no regrets about letting Darnold or Mayfield walk.
  17. You're probably right for the Chiefs but he's really not necessarily a rental for any team that acquires him. The guy gets open at will and any team could use him. I know people here are low on Donte for some reason but Donte absolutely had the value of a 2nd round pick so we basically gave up a 2nd for a "rental." I honestly think we keep him and extend him though. He fits really well in Canales' offense.
  18. But that 2nd could easily be pick 64. I’d want at least pick 50 or better for DJ. Chiefs 1st is honestly fair value especially with them being desperate
  19. Out with the old. Shaq has been a good long time Panther, sad for him but this isn’t too impactful on the team in the mid/long term. Hurts our already bad D this year but oh well
  20. He was a big part of the problem but the front office and Tepper contribute as well, despite the temporary solid play
  21. Nah dude they have Butrow and chase not much else. Taylor is a terrible coach and will be fired this year
  22. It was such a winnable game. The Bengals are trash we just beat ourselves with some help from the refs.
  23. Cut this Therman dude before the clock hits zero. fuging loser
  24. Even when we know they are running the ball every play it’s an automatic 4+ yards every time. Embarrassing D today
