  1. An answer to why he needs to be replaced. I don't think he's "all that and a bag of chips." I think he's better than the majority of #4 and #5 receivers in the league and is worth a roster spot. Look at how much money he's making and explain to me why he needs to be replaced.
  2. That is so ridiculous it's not even worthy of a response. Enjoy being a cynic.
  3. I don't think it's any of those 3 things. I think Cam's side just wants Wilson/Luck to set the market and go from there, and they're being patient. I think Gettleman wants a deal done ASAP but is just going to have to wait for Cam's side. I see it happening this offseason if Wilson gets his this offseason, but otherwise it'll probably come next year.
  4. If I asked you why there is no possible way you could come back with a logical answer.
  5. Yes he was. He was slow trash. Gettleman doesn't cut guys because of something they say, and Gettleman makes the cuts not Rivera.
  6. And what happened to Avant? If Philly didn't hurt his shoulder in the middle of the season, he would've been starting over Avant long before Avant got cut. And he actually did start over Avant against the Steelers. Took him time to develop, but I honestly think he's already better than Cotch. With Jennings as #2, I'd much rather have Philly/Ginn in the slot than Cotch, and I don't want to keep him if we can save $1.5M.
  7. Brown was our most consistent receiver last year.
  8. I think we'll keep 6 as well, but I don't see us keeping Cotch if we sign Jennings. Just no point in keeping 2 of the exact same type receiver, and Jennings is wayyyyyy better than Cotch. I think it'd save us $1.5M if he was designated june 1 cut so it'd be worth it to cut him. I think we'll draft 2 WRs this year. One in the first 2 rounds and then someone like Hardy later on (probably someone with return ability as well since Ginn isn't the longterm answer there). So Benji, Jennings (Cotch if we don't sign Jennings), Ginn, Brown, rookie, rookie. Obviously depth chart could/would change during camp. Honestly don't see any of Lucas, Hill, Presley, Mike Brown or Bersin making the roster. Probably keep a few on the PS if we can. I feel Ginn, KB and Brown are all locks to make the roster.
  9. I think it's more Cam's agent's reasoning than his own. If he lights it up this year at an elite level and we make a deep playoff or even Super Bowl run then his price could easily go from $20M/year to $25M/year. A lot depends on Wilson and Luck though, as Cam's side wants to let them (or Wilson atleast) set the market. I don't get that, but we'll see what happens.
  10. I think G-man would want to as well, and it's Cam's side that's wanting to wait it out. Which honestly makes the most sense for Cam. Why sign a new deal after an injury-riddled year, when you lost every WR who'd caught a pass from Cam before? He'll likely have a comeback year, do well, and further increase his value. I'd say I'm pretty confident both sides want Cam to stay in Carolina.
  11. Interesting. I think we should keep him for a little while longer to continue mentoring our young guys in the secondary, until maybe Josh takes that role himself. Do you have any idea of the chances that we extend Norman this offseason? I absolutely hate the idea of letting him walk after next season.
  12. No they just outsmarted the refs. Refs came out after the game saying the Patriots' plays were not allowed and the refs just didn't have time to catch it during the game. They're cheating scumbags.
  13. But the point is, he doesn't give a sh*t about your expectations, or anyone else's FA expectations. And your expectations don't change how he's running the team. Let the man do his job.
  14. Were we ever targeting Torrey Smith before he got ridiculously overpaid, or was that just you making a bold prediction?
  15. Any way you can change it on here so that when a post gets like 25 or 50 pies it becomes a blue goose pie (as someone else posted a picture of earlier in the thread) instead of just a whole pie?
  16. He's not elite enough to have a cap hit of $20M. And in response to one of your other posts, Hardy is better than Johnson.
  17. He's 28 and still playing at a high level. Huge part of our D the past 2 years, along with TD defines Keep Pounding and DEs are not easy to replace.
  18. Obviously the right decision. Now let's get Norman extended then CJ extended to bring his cap number down a sh*tload please. Sign Jennings and Ball, do work in the draft and get ready to be playing in Februrary.
  19. I don't like to waste my time arguing with retards.
