PFF sells themselves as being some super objective data based evaluation science but in reality it is extremely subjective and varies significantly based on who there is grading each player. And I don’t believe they really take into account the play calls/design. It’s an interesting piece of information but I still prefer the eye test. Which honestly it does usually sync up with but not always. I think in 2013 they ranked Luke as being average or some nonsense.

Look I'm glad he's improving but yeah it's incredibly obvious just how low the bar was set by his play last year and before the benching this year because even in these 2 wins he flat out has not even been an average QB and the team won in spite of him against bad teams. I think what Bryce defenders (can't believe there are any at this point) don't understand is nearly every single Panthers fan would love for the dude to turn it around and be a franchise QB who can lead this team to a SB win. The reality for everyone with eyes and brain watching though is he's not the guy, is nowhere even remotely close to being the guy and wasting any more time on trying to make him the guy will set this team back even further. With Dalton hurt of course we had to go back to Bryce but I'm pretty damn confident in saying he's not in our future plans and won't be barring a miracle true turn around in his level of play. Even like 5-6 more wins the rest of the season wouldn't do it unless he balls out in them -- which, color me skeptical.

The game is slowing down for Bryce that's definitely noticeable. But I still think he just has way too many limitations to ever be anything more than a backup in this league. Still it is nice to see him improving for the first time in his career.

The thing is the dude could be 100% about football and only football and that doesn't mean it would ever translate to the field in the NFL. He obviously has the physical limitations but aside from that the dude just does not read the field well or make good in-game decisions. One would think the more practice, studying defenses, experience the better but reality is even with all that some guys just never have it. Which appears to be the case with Bryce.

Ickey is literally the only NFL player from these 2 drafts, and he's hanging onto a starting role by a thread. Just atrocious. And made even worse by Bryce also costing an extra 1st overall pick + more. Still feeling the effects next year not having our 2nd that will certainly be in the 30s.

Brown is really the only one with an argument and he only put up 1 year of being "blue chip" caliber before getting hurt for the season. who knows if he'll ever even get back to that level from last year, I doubt it honestly. Horn is probably the next closest but he's as injury prone as it gets and despite his play being phenomenal in prior years when he was on the field, he's just been a bit above average this year and I don't view him as a blue chip player. I don't think any other player on this team is even remotely close to being a blue chip player.

And as good as Willis was, Luke was better in every way and has a DPOY and 1 more all pro team than him. He is one of the most obvious first ballot guys there is. If he doesn’t get in first ballot it would be a travesty
