  1. @Verge is legit and mostly spot on. Rap is legit too. The only other team that has been concretely linked to Watson is NYJ (for now, anyways). I'm still not sold on it happening, but I do think it's gotten to the point where it is a realistic possibility.
  2. 2013, 2014, 2015, 2017 the Seahawks didn't have any 1st rounders. And now in 2021 and 2022 they won't have any either (barring a trade up which isn't really their MO).
  3. Didn't the Seahawks go like 4 or 5 straight years without a 1st round pick. Fitterer knows what the fug he's doing, get you that QB and draft well in 2-7 and those 1sts won't matter. I say it'll be 3 1st round picks and a couple day 2 picks and no players involved... Teddy will get offloaded to a different team.
  4. dude don't fuging do this to me, I'm getting wayyyy too fuging pumped up now. gonna have to call a damn doctor in 4 hours. if this doesn't happen man, no idea what I might do
  5. Can’t wait til he continues to round out his form and the game to slow down a bit for him. He’s going to be a huge piece of the puzzle for this team, hopefully as our long term #2C not long from now.
  6. LET’S F*CKING GO BOYS!!! What a huge win. Star #1 goes to Mrazek who was incredible. Vasilevsky was great, nice job Marty for finally solving him. Glad the team came out this game firing on all cylinders and hungry. Credit to the 5 young guys who stepped up and were collectively absolutely incredible in this opportunity. So damn pumped about this team!
  7. Great news! Long live coach Rivera!
  8. If he wanted to force himself to the Panthers and the Panthers only I think that price could be feasible if the player is Burns. Burns is worth every bit of two 1st round picks. So that's 3 1sts for a player who is forcing his way to a specific team. But yeah in a bidding war I don't think Burns and #8 gets it done.
  9. The longer Watson goes without playing the less the Texans are going to get in a trade for him. That's where Watson has some leverage if he is truly willing to sit out a year (I kinda doubt that, but we'll see how far each side is willing to take it... Watson not playing hurts him too).
  10. Why did you post this? Frankly, anyone who doesn’t know this or understand this is a moron. And yes that includes all those twitter folk writing whatever comments Bill is responding to. Not really thread worthy.
  11. His passer rating by game situation: https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/N/NewtCa00/splits/ Other than when leading with < 4 min to go, those numbers are not great. There are others that are worse for sure (check out Brees when tied with < 2 or 4 min to go, though his numbers when trailing are considerably better...) but plenty of others are much better than Cam in these situations. Outside of 2015 and some of 2013 (not many opportunities that year), Cam wasn't all that clutch here. He wasn't bad compared to others around the league, and yes Ron being an ass of a HC and our D collapsing in some of those games contributed, but the narrative that Cam was great in these situations just isn't supported by the stats (or even the eye test many of those years...).
  12. The question was who should Watson want to play for, not whether or not those teams could make it work...
  13. LA Rams -- massive market, really good team with a HC who looks like he'll stick around as a great coach for a long time. Taxes are rough there but endorsements there will more than outweigh that and I think he'd win at least one SB there. Niners would be a close second for similar reasons (but I like McVay much more than Shanahan), all other teams after that wouldn't even be close.
  14. It's not a headache if they do like Detroit did and make it clear that they're moving on from Matt Ryan. GB couldn't do that because Rodgers is an elite QB playing at an MVP level with no signs of slowing down. Ryan and Stafford are nowhere near that level and much easier to sell the fanbase on moving on from for a full rebuild. My guess is they stick with Ryan as he's still a rock solid starting QB and they can retool and compete with him, but who knows... Would be hard for them to pass up on Fields if he's sitting there
  15. Maybe a 3rd or 2022 2nd. Reports are that he hasn’t even looked good enough so far to be the #2 QB in Green Bay. Their beat reporter said even if Rodgers was released/traded this offseason his guess it that Love wouldn’t start. He was a late 1st round pick as it is and a year of his cheap contract has been used up. Combined with the reports on his progress so far, I don’t think we should consider this unless it’s for a price that makes GB look retarded (I.e. won’t happen).
  16. The stats don't really back this up... There is plenty of blame to go around, Cam included.
  17. Agree, reading that it sounds like he meant to say more along the lines of: I think you want someone who has a history of making plays in crucial situations, WHO IS just very urgent.
  18. College DC job; I'm sure he has an out if he gets an NFL offer
  19. Wilks is also available. If I were a Bills fan I would not be too excited about either of those guys but I do think Wilks in his 1 year as coordinator here was better than Washington.
  20. Definitely agree there. That's certainly more likely than a coordinated wide-spread racial bias in NFL hiring like has been suggested. A the end of the day all of these owners just want to win and if they felt Bieniemy would help them win he'd get hired. I do think on the surface he's a great candidate and better than others getting hired, but we're not in on these interviews and don't know the specifics of his qualifications so it's hard for us to say as fans who really know nothing... Still rooting for the guy and if a HC job isn't in his future I hope he continues to help build that dynasty in KC (in years we aren't contending)
  21. They're doing all of this in a last grasp effort to keep Watson and he's still gonna force his way out anyways, you just watch. This is even worse than Jets territory of bad.
  22. This is truly one of the strangest stock market phenomenons I've ever seen in my life. Enjoying the entertainment of following it from afar.
  23. So Schefter's estimation is that there will be no more than 13 teams who return their starting QB from last year... Locks: - Patrick Mahomes - Josh Allen - Russell Wilson - Ryan Tannehill - Lamar Jackson - Kirk Cousins - Kyler Murray - Baker Mayfield - Justin Herbert - Joe Burrow Near Locks: - Ben Roethlisberger - Tom Brady - Aaron Rodgers - Dak Prescott Uncertain: - Derek Carr - Tua/Fitzpatrick - Daniel Jones - Deshaun Watson - Jared Goff - Jimmy Garappolo - Cam Newton - Trubisky/Foles - Sam Darnold - Drew Lock - Teddy Bridgewater - Matt Ryan - Kyle Allen/Alex Smith/Taylor Heinicke - Wentz/Hurts Last year's starters that are 100% getting replaced: - Drew Brees (retired) - Phillip Rivers (retired) - Matt Stafford (already stated he'll be traded) - Gardner Minshew (Trevor Lawrence). I really just can't see there being all that much turnover. I'm going to assume all the near-locks return as starters next year, which I think is a fair assumption. That is already 14 starters returning as starters for their same team this year... All the ones that are uncertain have varying levels of likelihood of them being replaced as starters next year, but I really can't imagine that even half of those change. There's only so many options to replace them (4ish in the draft, Stafford and maybe Watson). This is a real stretch from Schefter...
