  1. FWIW Jimmy Johnson came straight from college and went 8-24 in his first 2 seasons before winning a couple SBs... Granted, he also improved by 6 wins year 1 to year 2, Rhule has declined from year 1 to year 2.
  2. We do but he's played like 5 games the last 2 years...
  3. Lure him out of retirement with insane money for a couple years to overhaul our OL and develop young coaches under him for the future. This guy is the greatest OL coach in the history of the league (arguably greatest position coach ever) and consistently coached average/subpar players into being top 5-10 OL units. Unsung hero of the cheaters dynasty in NE and one of the main reasons Brady is considered a future hall of famer -- always had a ton of time in the pocket his entire career with Scarnecchia in NE (then shocker he picks TB who has a stacked OL too over other teams and continues to have success). Seriously, this guy can change an entire team's fortunes, especially one like ours that already has a rock solid defense in place. Tepper should make it happen, and make his first good move as an owner in the NFL because nothing else he's done has been good at all.
  4. Honestly though is D enough of an issue that Snow needs to be replaced? I don't really think so. We have some holes and weaknesses there but with the offensive not being able to stay on the field for more than like 1-3 minutes at a time, the D is put in as tough of a spot as they possibly can be and they still rank very well in most categories. Rhule sucks but Snow and the D have been fine. Situational coaching, halftime adjustments, etc. have been a huge issue for Rhule. In theory an experienced successful OC with head coaching experience could come in and help Rhule with that and give the offense life but I don't know who that would be and that's just in theory. In reality it likely won't matter.
  5. Almost zero chance of that. We could beat NO if they're the scrub they're starting tomorrow sucks and starts next week too, hopefully Taylor Hillsom is back by then so he can run through our "run D."
  6. May not have been official until now but we were eliminated a month ago at least.
  7. We will play plenty of bad teams next year. If we start Sam all year we will have considerably more than 3 wins. Especially if we can continue to add talent to the team in the draft and FA, particularly at OL.
  8. He’s 4-5 as a starter here, not a good tank commander at all.
  9. I hate Sam and we need to draft a QB high but we don’t have much choice but to keep Sam around for a year unless we can find a sucker to offload his contract to.
  10. DJ has had some miscues but he's been getting open like a #1 receiver. If only we had a QB who could get him the ball consistently and an OL that could give said QB time. Robby is also much better than his stats this year.
  11. It's really something when Shaq fuging Thompson is now one of our favorite players on the entire team. He's been one of the few bright spots this year.
  12. I swear to god that "timeout" by Brady was called after the ball was snapped and therefore should not have counted at all.
  13. A starting FS should never have 100 tackles. Whoever made the decision to change Chinn's role from last year should be fired. Incredible player, not being used right at all this year.
  14. There's no point at all playing Cam at this point. Give Sam the rest of the game. Even if he sucks.
  15. QB or OL. Trade up or down as needed to get the player we want at those positions for good value. No reaching and don’t bother going BPA when it’s going to be a corner, linebacker or DT.
  16. You underestimate the incompetence of many people in front offices around the league. It benefits us to try to increase Sam's value over these last few weeks. Him playing lights out for 3 games may not move the needle much but it could be the difference between having to trade away a mid round pick vs. a late round pick for a team flush with cap space to take his contract. It's only 1 year and if he puts good film out there to close out the season he'll have nearly half a season with good film with us and some team with cap space whose not anywhere near contending may be willing to take a shot. Point is there is some potential benefit to starting Sam. There really is no benefit at all to this team to start Cam or PJ, other than appeasing fans with letting Cam add to his TD totals for the hall of fame (and we can still do that with Sam starting).
  17. Honestly the best move for this team is to start Sam and try to get him going. Cam can come in for goal line packages. If we can possibly rehab Sam's value a bit in these last 3 games that would be huge for our chances of getting rid of his contract in the offseason. None of the 3 QBs are the solution for us but at least starting Sam can help us in a way going forward if he puts a little bit of good film out there to close the year. Starting Cam or PJ don't really offer anything at this point, frankly.
  18. When was he ever beating his 2015 season? 2016 clearly not. 2017 he was very good but not 2015 level. 2018 he was doing very good and better than 2017 before the injuries but still not at 2015 level. But yeah in terms of purely winning games, Cam is the answer. A 100% healthy Cam with full strength in his arm is the most valuable player in team history at the most important position.
