  1. Great play call, great throw! Let’s fuging gooooo
  2. Yeah a 5-5 team's next game is more anticipated than a home divisional playoff game coming off a 15-1 regular season
  3. I agree on Brady, people feel justified calling him the GOAT and ignoring Belichick by him winning with a stacked Bucs team last year but to anyone looking at it objectively, Belichick is one of the greatest football minds of all time and can have success with his systems without all-time great QB play. I mean Brady has never in his career done things to carry his team like guys like Rodgers, Mahomes, Manning have. He fit Belichick's system perfectly and did exactly what Belichick said his entire career and had that success largely because of the consistent greatness he had around him. I've said it before and I still believe it -- you could put a guy like Tony Romo or Philip Rivers on those Pats teams under Belichick and they easily have nearly the same # of championships. Brady is great at what he does within those systems but he's never proven to elevate a bad team to contender like some others have done. Mac Jones could very have plenty of success under Belichick, doesn't make him a great QB. We really just need the cheater to retire soon.
  4. Mac Jones is a total passenger. Matt Cassell put up great stats and got 11 wins under Belichick, it shouldn't be any surprise that the Pats are winning even with Mac, but he just isn't a great QB and doesn't have the upside to ever become a great QB.
  5. He was fuging money on 3rd downs last year. Such a clutch player once we figured out how to use him properly. But yeah injuries have always been a bit of a concern with him and his upside is a bit limited. Glad we let him walk ultimately but would've been nice if we could keep him at a reasonable cap hit too. Washington did overpay especially since Rivera is clueless with him. Packers or Chiefs should have signed him.
  6. So they can tell people they are part owners of the Packers.
  7. It's just taking advantage of stupid people. At least people get something out of PSLs even if those are also a rip off.
  8. I would never buy stock in a team the way it works for the Packers because it isn't actually stock it's just a massive waste of money. There is literally zero value in it. I would consider buying stock in the Panthers or another team if you could actually get dividends on it and sell it easily. However based on the team's history I certainly wouldn't buy stock in the Panthers any time soon. Would really need to see a franchise changing turn around otherwise it would just be a letdown as has been par for the course for this team in its history.
  9. I know what "say no more" means and posted the definition of that as a clarification in case others didn't. I didn't google "say less." If that's actually slang, ok whatever, I've never heard it. But Cam has inarguably slightly messed up idioms/expressions in press conferences multiple times throughout his career. That just isn't debatable.
  10. I don’t think it’s slang that kids use. I think it’s Cam screwing up idioms/expressions which he has done in press conferences his entire career.
  11. I think if this is true Cam meant something more along the lines of “say no more” or in other words: —used to tell someone that it is not necessary to explain something furtherbecause one understands what that person is trying to say
  12. Yeah good point on both. Kap could be a backup but him being a distraction and the calls for him to start by his followers make that a poor choice for any team, not even factoring in his salary and playing time demands which are absurd. The Golden Calf of Bristol is not an NFL caliber QB. Not even as a gadget player like Taylor Hillsom. Taylor Hillsom who can barely throw is 10x the passer The Golden Calf of Bristol ever was. Maybe he could have stuck around as a TE but I kinda doubt it. He’s athletic but there are plenty of other more athletic freaks that teams try at TE who don’t make it. But yeah he’s a massive distraction too as we saw when his Jags jersey was the top seller after he signed there. Not worth it.
  13. Obviously Kap is better but neither belong in the league. They both suck.
  14. Yeah I agree it could be Rhule, it could also be Fitterer who wasn't even here when we let Cam go initially. We really have no idea. I hope it was Rhule or Fitt
  15. Although I absolutely loathed the idea at the time, I really wish Hurney had traded up for Herbert to put his final stamp on the team. Like you said, Cam will be fun at least and maybe help us make a little run. But we still have huge issues at the QB position going forward. The plan can't be Cam long term, even if we do keep him as starter next year.
  16. This is very possible but also very troubling. Meddling owners are a huge issue and Tepper is no different. I understand we're all fans of the Cam move, it made sense and was a good move this time even if it doesn't save our season. But if it was Tepper making the call that does not bode well at all for this team's future.
  17. It happens all the time in sports, all these guys are banged up and if you went and did MRIs and scans on all these guys you'll find some things. Especially other sports where teams get cap relief for guys who are injured. It's a business after all, and one way to deal with a potential distraction when moving on from and replacing a starting QB mid-season is to get him away from the team. Only way to do that with Sam was to find this injury. I mean, Sam had a shoulder issue going into the Pats game and still played the entire game despite throwing multiple terrible picks and putting up no points, and there was no noticeable aggravation of the injury or really any big hits on him in that game. Does anyone really think if he had been playing lights out and we had a winning record that the team would put it out there immediately that he "may" be done for the season? Initial timeline reported was a few weeks, then suddenly he "may" be out for the year? All the information out there is very deliberate by the team. Sam will almost certainly never play another down for the Panthers, and it's not because of a season ending injury.
  18. I think it's more that it was the defending SB champs who had a great D on paper. Bucs D has turned out to actually suck this year as offenses figured them out and with some injuries but at the time of that game, the Rams more or less crushing them was pretty significant. Haven't watched the Rams or Stafford that much this year so can't speak to their losses or how he's played, but in general watching Stafford with the Lions I think he's definitely a legit 2nd tier franchise QB. He carried that Lions team for a decade with literally nothing around him on either side of the ball except Calvin Johnson for part of it. The Rams have depth issues throughout their team. Not surprising when they trade all their draft picks for big names and not all of them meet expectations. Stafford should have them contending more seriously than Goff did but he was never going to solve all their problems. People heap praise on the Rams for their aggressiveness and adding all these big names but I've never been sold on that strategy. Having quality starters and depth pieces on rookie deals is absolutely critical to building a successful team in the salary cap era. They don't really have that, and while McVay is a good coach he can only do so much with a handful of superstars and nothing behind them.
  19. I'm not convinced about Darnold's "injury." I think the team was fed up with his play and went looking for something. I don't doubt he has an injury, but I do doubt that it's one keeping him out a month+ if he had been playing well before it. In other words, I don't think it took an injury for this front office to decide to try out Cam and go in a different position at QB. I think they had their mind made up independent of the injury to Sam.
  20. Roaring Riot Tailgate is a must. I may be in the area for this game too so I'll be there if I am. Been way too long since I've been to a game at BoA
  21. Great moment but considering that this win only got us to .500 and barely hanging onto a playoff spot with a tough schedule ahead, I'm not going to get too excited about it yet and it can't rank up there with some of our great playoff moments or even great moments in seasons where we did have some playoff success. If Cam continues to help turn the season around and we do make the playoffs and make a run then this moment will rank higher.
  22. He's a free agent after the year, right?
  23. "Gilmore is on another planet compared to Jackson." That's pretty disrespectful and in my opinion just not even close to being true. I really like Gilmore, he's been great. Maybe I'd put him on Adams but it's not as clear cut as you think and I'd be 100% comfortable putting Jackson on him. Also, again, their styles are a bit different. I'd put Jackson on Godwin over Gilmore but would put Gilmore on Evans over Jackson. Jackson is a bit shiftier/quicker and can stay with the smaller shiftier receivers better. Gilmore bigger and more physical and has the more technical aspects of the game down better when going against receivers who win on size and/or route running rather than speed and shiftiness. I'm happy to have both and they are very much on the same "planet."
