  1. I still can't believe we drafted a long snapper with a 6th round pick.
  2. Obviously they won't trade him here but if he was ultimately released I'd love to sign him as a stopgap. We'd be a playoff team with our improved line and Ryan. Could even still draft Pickett or Willis or whoever and sit them for 1-2+ years.
  3. If only Darnold would request a trade and be willing to take a massive pay cut to accommodate it...
  4. He was good his rookie year, not great but good. After that pure trash the rest of his career.
  5. That’s true of any position though, to varying degrees. If it were that easy for centers every team would do that and no center would ever get paid more than close to league minimum. Even as a backup rotational interior lineman who also plays guard that’s a cheap deal. Wonder if he just really wanted to play in Carolina for some reason
  6. I don’t really buy that. C may be less valued than other positions but an above average starter there for $2.8M is easy to pay for any team. There are 22 centers league wide making more than that, the top 4 being $12-14M...
  7. Anyone have any idea why they let him walk and why his market wasn’t so great with other teams? Based on his grades and what Ravens fans say he seems like a well above average C... why did we get him so cheap?
  8. I think a McCaffrey trade at this point is more or less off the table. Would need to be an overpayment and who’s going to overpay for an oft-injured RB with his contract? Nobody. Better to hang onto him and either roll with him or at least try to rebuild his value. Would be much better to trade him next offseason if he stays healthy this year and performs. But also if we’re gonna roll with a young unknown at QB we’re gonna want McC for Ds to focus on. That along with a great OL is our only hope for success if we have a rookie QB from this weaker draft.
  9. Of course he is he’s won MVP the last 2 years. But because of that they easily would’ve gotten 3 first rounders and more for him. If they had faith in Love being a franchise QB from what they’ve seen so far the best big picture move for the team would’ve been trading Rodgers, and that would’ve followed the Packers’ MO their entire history of the franchise, making shrewd moves like that even if they aren’t popular. Ultimately it’s clear they didn’t have any faith in Love that he’d be a franchise QB, which isn’t surprising considering the reports on him and what we’ve seen of him in his limited game action.
  10. Day 3 pick sure, hell no to giving up any more day 2 picks. If he was any good the Packers would’ve shipped Rodgers off for a ton of picks.
  11. I like Carr but he’s not on those guys levels. Jimmy G shouldn’t be starting for a team with playoff aspirations. Lamar won’t be available.
  12. Agreed but I don’t think there will be a vet like Stafford, Watson or Wilson available next season or any time soon. Maybe but it’s rare as hell for guys like that to ever become available and I don’t see any right now on the horizon. Probably need to nab one in the 2023 draft even if we have to trade up to get our guy.
  13. not when they're getting paid as much as he is but yeah I get that we need a QB
  14. Be mad at the player who backed out on the deal. WFT did nothing wrong
  15. His hubris will be his downfall, I bet he gets a career ending injury this year and he goes out on father time’s terms not his own terms like he seemed like he was going to
  16. Unnecessarily risky but I would’ve been excited for sure to have an elite franchise QB
  17. My point is we were never actually ruled out just like the Browns weren’t. All those reports were nonsense. It all came down to who would pay him the most and we weren’t going to, which is the right decision.
  18. Hit on a LT at 6 overall and bring back Donte and I consider this off-season a tremendous success. Try for a mid round QB or wait until next off season. Sam sucks but if we build the rest of the team up and can have some success with Sam or whoever then we can absolutely be a player for a vet next year or take one in a much better QB draft.
  19. You really believe that we were “ruled out” after the Browns were “ruled out” before us? We have no clue at all where we finished
  20. Did he even rule us out though? Maybe he would’ve waived for any of the 4 teams and Cleveland had the highest offer ultimately? They were “ruled out” before we were so I don’t believe any “reports” from the last week or so.
  21. Not gonna get it though since he hasn’t been signed by now.
  22. Falcons won’t find any takers for Ryan. If they cut him to sign Watson I think we could be a playoff team with Ryan and nailing a legit LT with 6 overall.
  23. And it would’ve been fine if we were just smart from the start to not get involved. Instead Tepper went all in on him and now we just look like the most dysfunctional organization in all of pro sports
  24. Doubt it, Tepper already made clear he’ll give him Mahomes money
  25. Worst case scenario — - Watson drags this out waiting on Falcons - in the meantime the Aints drop out - Falcons can’t get rid of Matty Ice and decide to bow out themselves - we’re stuck making the trade, Tepper declares it a huge win but we miss playoffs this year due to his suspension and Rhule sucking - make the playoffs the next couple years but can’t win it all - at end of his current contract DeBitch Watson forces his way out, we tag him anyways but ultimately have to trade him to Atlanta for a 2nd or 3rd round pick as he’ll only go there
