  1. Oh don't get me wrong I totally agree Smitty was a better player. In the eyes of the HoF though, Larry has the 2nd most career yards and 6th most TDs. Those volume stats matter, especially when they are that high. He's a lock.
  2. would be funnier if the Steelers won so we were made the Sunday night game but it became meaningless with Atlanta winning at 1pm
  3. Holt was a stud for sure and should probably get in, I get this aspect of it. But still Smitty had twice as many All Pros as him, more yards and TDs, a rare triple crown and did it all in a run first offense while never having a top tier QB except a few seasons with Cam (past his own prime) compared to Holt in the greatest show on turf with Warner and then Bulger who was better than any of Smitty's QBs except Cam. Smitty should absolutely be a finalist this year over Holt and Wayne. Fitz is rightly ahead of him.
  4. Based on recent play Aints or Falcons. Overall season I think it’s us.
  5. He dominated enough while he played that his early retirement should have no impact. He’s in the same tier as Barry Sanders and Megatron who also had very short careers.
  6. Smitty should 100% be in, no doubt. Not all that surprising though as he mostly played in our market and also has rubbed a ton of people the wrong way off the field. Luke should've been first ballot, but whatever. Looking at that group I think he gets in this year.
  7. Also as brief as it was Norman and Peanut were better than Horn and Jackson
  8. I mean yeah I’ll pull for them these 2 weeks but I’d much rather not get in the playoffs with a losing record just because our division is so terrible. I think we beat the Bucs anyways so it’s all moot
  9. Stupid play but Horn is overall great and the 2nd biggest reason behind Brown why our D is above average this year
  10. Can’t blame the D at all. fug you bryce young you midget piece of poo
  11. And there it is. fuging pathetic player who has no business in the NFL
  12. Even if we win next week this game shows that this team as currently constructed (I.e. with Bryce at QB) will NEVER come close to contending for a championship. The offense is bottom 5-10 and it’s all because of Bryce’s limitations. We’ve invested way more in the O around Bryce than the D and yet the D has been carrying us all year while Bryce has sucked. Morgan/Canales need to have the balls to trade him immediately after the season and begin the search for an actual franchise QB.
  13. Atrocious angle on the tackle on that 3rd down, who was that? Rozeboom?
  14. We better fuging win this game, Jesus Christ the missed opportunities this season if we don’t. I just know we’ll lose next week too knowing Tepper’s Panthers
  15. No brainer to bring him in if we can get him
  16. ILB, DE and other BPA on days 1 and 2. QB and RB on day 3 and other picks BPA.
  17. Ridiculous take from someone who never watched our offense consistently. Rivera and Shula held Cam back as a passer, he never relied on his athleticism.
  18. I brought up games played because of how few he’s played so you further my point with the “backup” games. Ok yards go up from 190ish to 237 average, still not some amazing average. They’re pretty pass heavy. Don't get me wrong he’s had a good rookie season, especially for a 2nd round pick. That doesn’t mean he should be anywhere near OROY discussions.
  19. I know you're referring to Cam's running but having watched both players' long careers I can tell you right now Brett Favre took wayyyyyy more of a beating over the years than Cam did in his career. And yet he has probably the most ridiculous record in all of sports with his ironman streak. Injuries come down to luck and genetics more than playstyle. Allen plays the same way Cam did and has been one of the healthiest QBs in the league with no signs of that changing any time soon.
